What do you guys specialize in when going for set IOs. I had an elec brute a while back but deleted him to make space for other stuff before we could buy toon slots. I am going to remake this guy for issue 15 and I wanted to get some advice on IOs.

Also I wanted to say I just cant play claws. The whole no build up thing drove me batty on this and dual blades. Thats why I can play dual blades on stalkers. I cant play claws on stalkers because they have no aoe (shockwave doesnt count because its scatters).

[/ QUOTE ]I can only think of one instance where they did do this. Back when unyielding had the penalty. Brutes and scrappers got the full penalty but it was later scaled down. Thinking about this now shouldnt brute granite have less of a penalty since it gives less protection than tanker granite?

[/ QUOTE ]Create a dual build. One for solo and one for team. Thats what I did. To help you out slot the first debuff power with he achilies heel resistance IO. That will sometimes proc and allow you to do a bit more damage.

Dude you video drivers are really old. Try updating them. If you cant thru the manufacturer then go to laptopvideo2go.com instead.

This is where powers like super speed or stealth IO work really well. The pet gets seen but you dont.

I was wondering if many of these have been dropping for you all. So far I have only gotten one and that was off of Hami during a LGTF. I havent seen one since then. I was thinking of starting a new toon. Where I go thru every single villain side mission to complete all the arcs and kill the bosses in the missions starting at lvl 9. Since bosses dont appear solo unless you are higher than heroic I was thinking about setting it to the middle setting just so its one higher but less critters. I would be doing this on stalker just to see how many drops can be earned like this. Does anyone know of any specific arcs that you know have more than 1 boss in them aside from the Intro to Cimerora from Ashley Mcknight?

Personally I have never gotten the whole if you pl to lvl 50 you wont know how to play your toon idea. It doesnt make sense because I still see lvl 50s who didnt pl their toons and still play just as clueless. Really what it all boils down to is whether or not the player gets exposed to other players who know the set and teach them a thing or two or they find out something by accident. Its got nothing to do with level speed at all. They can just as easily learn something from another player while on a pling team as they could on a regular team.

None of them. The set bonuses suck for the most part. The only full set I could see slotting is th one for the recharge intensive pets and even then I dont do it. Until lvl 50 I just do a frankenslot of acc/dam Pet IOs of different sets and add in the resistance procs. At lvl 50 I change out the acc/dam IOs for acc/dam HOs and slot the resists procs with the chance for build up proc.

I would say its the ticket nerf more than anything else. Why do a longer arc if you are going to max out on tickets? The benefit we had before with the extra ticket bonus that increased as the arc went on is basically worthless now. I usually do arcs that are at most 3 missions. I usually do the unrated ones first though.

Its one of the best mezzes in the set to me. Even unslotted it last a very long time. You can pretty much sleep someone, then use rest to refill and they will be sleeping. And if for some reason you decide to slot it for sleep or use it during domination that critter isnt waking up until next week some time.

I would have to say kin/elec is better if you plan on surviving in melee. I have tried sapping in so many ways but kin/elec is the safest to do. Keep in mind transfusion and transference both drain endurance. Transference is the only one I would slot for end out of those 2. If you are doing it as a defender and have no intention on having a damage build then you can slot voltac sentinal with end mod sets instead of damage just to make the sapping a bit better.

As for what I meant by "severe hardware changes", yes motherboard/CPU would classify as that. Some people have even had issues re-activating by just switching our RAM as well.

Keep in mind with the Media you buy it doesnt matter which edition the media says it is, it only checks for the serial code. So upgrade media can do full install and vice versa. Right now for vista there is not much use of picking ultimate over home premium, but for windows 7 only ultimate, enterprise and I think business will be able to get xp mode. Keep in mind after June 26 anyone who buys a vista pc is eligible for a free windows 7 upgrade to the corresponding version you have. So vista ultimate gets a free windows 7 ultimate, home premium gets home premium.

I can always make this power pay for itself and then some. I still dont see what the problem is critical or not its still good.

Check the vista sticky at the top. You might need the hotfix unless you already have vista sp2.

Its not going to work well for one reason. Intel(R) G45/G43 Express Chipset is your problem. You dont have a real video card you have video solution. You will need to upgrade the card and ram if you want to get acceptable performance in this game.
