I don't have Brooklyn Tornado, but I do have Chicago Lightning. Does that count?

Two words: signature powers.
I mean, c'mon, the suggestion's been stickied for three years! -
What?! People with incredible, super-human powers in a game about superheroes and supervillains?!
-
I like big, solid, visceral feeling moves, which is why I'm such a fan of Broadsword.
I don't like big dumb flashy gimmick attacks, which is one of many reasons why I don't watch japanese children's cartoons. -
Propel. The description mentions that you 'open a gravitational rift and take an object from someplace' - does that mean that all over the world, people's forklifts, file cabinets and gargoyles are mysteriously going missing?
-
Wouldn't be too bad, at least for costume creation or checking your AE arcs or whatnot.
-
We have power customisation, we have incarnates on the way, and i20 is implementing 'several new systems'. Anyone else feel this is a suggestion whose time has (finally) come?
-
I had Soul Drain on my AR/Sonic Corruptor, mostly as a path to Soul Storm. I ended up respeccing out of it just because the power has such a ridiculously tiny radius. It doesn't even hit everyone *inside the power FX*!
-
Assault Rifle, because Full Auto is the best power in the game.
*sweeps Rain of Arrows under a rug, whistles innocently* -
I've only ever taken the axe on one character, a Broadsword/Shield Scrapper.
Luckily, that was the character with whom I first ran the Croatoa arcs. It was perfect for fighting those nasty ghosties who resisted my sword! -
Quote:Enemies running for help, YES, that I'd like to see on occasion. I remember the first time I tried helping a "stranded woman" in Eastgate (The Hollows). That was a surprising "OH CRAP!" moment that me and my fellow newbie sidekick were quite entertained by.
As for enemies running for an escape, that MIGHT be cool in RARE INSTANCES, if the mission or contact explicitly warned you that part of your mission could involve preventing their planned escape. (And I'd get to chuckle at players who blindly roll through missions without reading anything.) I disagree with those who think ALL enemies ought to feel strong (or cunning) enough to face us straight-on, and suspect the origin of the sentiment is laziness.
I think it'd be cool for random enemies to flee the map entirely, IF:
- they counted as defeated for all intents and purposes (so it doesn't break missions)
- Not all enemies did it. I don't think robots are sentient enough to try that kind of thing. It'd also be a fun way to balance out enemy groups (Freaks are so berserk they never run away! The street gangs are all wimpy thugs who'll flee the map at the first available opportunity!)
- It only happened in rare circumstances (softcapped player eating spawns alive). -
-
Rework the weapon sets - War Mace, Battle Axe and Broadsword - so that they're no longer nearly identical, then give them to Scrappers.
-
Brutes would be Gods of War by Lars Fredireksen and the Bastards.
Sleep Long by Operation Ivy for Dominators,
Crane Fist by Rancid for Scrappers,
Under My Voodoo by Sublime for Controllers,
Death Is Not The End by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds for Blasters,
Crack Rock Steady by Choking Victim for Tankers. -
'Wolf Spider Enforcer' on Operative Angry my VEAT

So if you're reading this thread then you've probably read the title and you know what it's about.
Assuming optimal conditions (maxed out damage buff, debuffed resists etc) and assuming a standard, non-temp power, what power can do the most damage to a single target in a single activation?
Assassin's whatevers, snipes and so on are going to be a special case, of course... -
I don't mind respecs so much, except for your powertrays getting all re-arranged, I completely forget where everything is.

Quote:I know this post was meant to be 'a bad team, oh noes!' but I can't help thinking this would both be incredible effective AND fun!A couple kinetic offenders (no transfusion or increase density), a shield tanker, a regen scrapper, 2 human form only kheldians, an AR blaster, and an illu/sonic troller with no buffs (at level 17 base), set to +2-3 with most of the team sidekicked sitting at 1 below mission level. Lets say mission level 21, so no SOs, and you are fighting 5th Column.
Although generally 'not taking any of your buffs' can normally be equated with 'incompetent player' unless they really know what they're doing. -
When I'm playing my Inv/SS tanker, anything with shields, especially Sonic (the best of all sets, ever
).
One or more VEATs.
People who aren't rolling their face across the keyboard. -
Personally I love it on the Paragon Protectors, since it forces you to use different strategies (i.e. switch to mostly singe-target based attacks to drop them before they can set it off). Same reason I love the Illusionists - it changes the game from the usual mindless 'pres butan' gameplay and forces you to think a bit about what you're doing.

They have hide and Assassin's Strike/Stab/Eclipse/Poke/Hug (dead enemies can't fight back), the unique Ninjutsu secondary with a lot of cool tricks and good defense to boot, Parry which will boost your defense (although other BS or Katana toons have this too) and general coolitude.

My name is Operative Angry, and I APPROVE THIS CHANGE. Now I do not have to take STUPID, FORCED powers and instead can focus on the important things like SMASHING PEOPLE WITH MY GUN, STABBING PEOPLE WITH MY GUN, and PUNCHING PEOPLE IN THE JAW.

Unfortunately, none of the weapons in Praetoria are available for players yet. I want the Resistance pistols and rifles
