I'm going to try out The Secret World. Secret societies, dark conspiracies, and horror? Sounds interesting.

I want to be eating dinner at the Atlas City Diner with Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" playing in the background. After I pop an onion ring into my mouth, someone opens the diner's front door and I look up to see who it is...
Fade to Black. -
Yes, finding a Lobo t-shirt is tough, but you can get all the others from Amazon.com
-
The phrase "jumping the shark" comes to mind. This sounds like a horrible idea, and will quite possibly destroy the popularity of the character that comes out of the closet, esp., if it's a male character.
-
Do the smart thing. Re-roll before you waste a lot of inf. on this toon. Seriously. Energy melee has got to the the absolute bottom of the barrel for farming. You'd just be setting yourself up for a lot of frustration and regret.

All right. Today, I'm going to see The Cabin in the Woods again. Who's with me?
Also, I found a spoiler-heavy essay about who the villains of Cabin really are. It's a good read. http://www.aintitcool.com/node/54997 -
I just got back from seeing Lockout, and gotta say that I find it funny that it has a rating of only 32% on Rotten Tomatoes. Seriously? 32%? The critics have to be sniffing glue.
I guess they went in expecting it to be Bladerunner, Aliens, or The Matrix. All right, so it doesn't raise the bar in it's genre, but it is an enjoyable sci-fi action movie nonetheless, and deserves a higher rating. Lockout is essentially a remake of Die Hard . . . in a prison riot . . . in space. That's what I was expecting going in, and that's exactly what it delivered, no more, no less. The best thing about the movie was Guy Pearce's performance as a Bruce Willis-style wisecracking tough guy with a heart of gold, which was fun as hell to watch.
Incidentally, the trailer for Promethius that was shown before Lockout looks absolutely phenomenal. Can't wait. -
I caught the midnight showing. I found it to be a surprisingly good movie with a lot of wit, plot twists, and homages to other horror movies. I recommend it a lot. In a way, Cabin in the Woods is to monster movies what Scream is to slasher movies.
By the way, I waited until the end of the credits, hoping for a bonus scene; Unfortunately, there wasn't one. -
The Mist (2007) -- an excellent horror film with some Lovecraftian elements, directed by Frank Darabont and starring Thomas Jane. It does have some mild gore in it though.
The Exorcist (1973) -- the classic creepy movie.
The Last Exorcism (2010) -- a surprisingly good found-footage-style possession flick
Insidious (2011) -- someone mentioned this before, but I'd like to recommend it too. It's very good, and has little to no gore in it.
Race with the Devil (1975) -- if you can find this satanic cult film, watch it. It's a great ride. -
I was curious about this myself. Since I have both TW/FA and a SS/FA who are similarly IO'ed and incarnated, I put them to the Pepsi Challenge and timed them in clearing out the first floor of a popular fire farm. My SS toon was consistently able to clear it about two minutes faster.
-
New Dark Age, you nailed it. I've felt this way about Hollywood for years now.
-
TW/FA is sah-weet. As mentioned above, redraw is not much of a problem. I haven't gotten mine incarnated quite yet, but right now, it seems it will at least be equal to my SS/FA, and very likely will surpass it.

I gave up on this show after the 4th episode. The weak writing and the (apparently) bullet-proof dinosaurs killed it for me.
-
Same here. I took my old KM scrapper off the shelf this weekend to do itrials. I quickly learned not to use Concentrated Strike on anything less than a boss because of the corpse-blasting issue. Very annoying. After a few runs, I put the character back on the shelf for exactly this reason.
Incidentally, I can only imagine how bad energy melee players have it since two of their heavy-hitting ST attacks have ridiculously long animations, too. Ouch. -
Quote:I had been anticipating the reveal of the barn for the entire season. I was disappointed and pleased all at once. In reading the comic, the barn seemed to be the only symbol of hope to that point (keeping in mind that the CDC never happened in the comic... the subdivision was pre or post farm? that was the other symbol of misplaced hope pre-prison).
It may be misplaced, but the barn is Herschel's firm hope that his friends and family will come back to him someday. That hope is so strong that he keeps them (even if prudently locked away for saftey). It is so poignant and ultimately tragic. But my sub-title to the story has always been "The Walking Dead: Where No One Gets to be Happy".
Wait. You mean that the farm people haven't been using zombies as a food source? Wow. I totally misinterpreted the meaning of last night's final scene. -
All right. There we go. We finally got a payoff for all the time we've spent on the farm. I should have seen it coming. After all, the farm people sure seemed to have a lot of food on hand even though they didn't seem to have any pigs, chickens, or crops, at least, not on screen. Now, it makes sense.
By the way, am I mistaken, or did Daryl cut off a piece of a zombie's hand and then eat it? -
Unfortunately, season 2 has been a little weak so far. Most of the episodes feel like filler, and the writing seems to be wandering without any real kind of direction in terms of plot. I really wish they'd get back on track. More action, please.

Bryan Cranston. He went from being the buffoonish dad in Malcolm in the Middle to being a badass criminal in Breaking Bad.
-
I say bring on the "fly girls." There's nothing wrong with that at all. What? You mean the same show is going to make me laugh my butt off--and show me hot dancing girls? Now, that's entertainment!
As a side note, I hate how castrated and feminized American culture has become in the past couple of decades. I think that a little "boy's club" entertainment would be a breath of fresh air. -
In Living Color was a very funny show. Much like Dave Chappelle before his nervous breakdown, one of the great things about the show was how politically incorrect it was. It wasn't afraid of poking fun of things that nowadays are considered taboo to even talk about, much less make fun of. Assuming that the show doesn't get castrated by the politically-correct busybody brigade, it should be worth checking out.
For example, it will be interesting to see if In Living Color will be willing to poke fun of Barack Obama directly--something that SNL and most comedic late night talk show hosts have been deathly afraid of doing. -
Too bad this is not going to be on HBO, Showtime, FX, or AMC, where they can actual show R-rated(-ish) material. Hopefully, Fox won't make it too soft, too safe. With some luck--and good writing--it will be at least watchable.

Some of the movies that I have watched 5 or more times:
Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2
Resevoir Dogs
Pulp Fiction
True Romance
Goodfellas
From Dusk Til Dawn
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
The Outlaw Josey Wales
John Carpenter's The Thing
Dawn of the Dead (the remake)
The Matrix
The Empire Strikes Back
Desperado
Sin City -
Marv from Sin City and Brock Sampson from the Venture Brothers could easily be interpreted as having the Willpower powerset.
