I have a softcapped DM/SD build, and comparing the two, I think you may have gone somewhat overboard on ranged defense. There appears to be a bug with Mid's currently that causes Phalanx Fighting to not display it's ranged defense buff.
You can easily drop a couple of the Mako's IOs for a couple Touch of the Nictus and still be softcapped.
The moral of the story: don't trust Mid's without question. -
Quote:Not necessarily. I have Hover, Fly and Teleport on my main and they all fill their respective roles quite nicely. Hover in combat (and while Teleporting for added insurance), Fly over short distances, Teleport from one end of the zone to the other. I couldn't imagine not having all three, and I hardly need to mention how beneficial Recall Friend is.A) Drop flight, too (not just leadership). Unless you're using hover to stay above the fray in combat. Even if you are, having fly and teleport is a waste.
I don't know how unorthodox the Flight/Teleport combo is, but it works quite well for me. -
Turning in costume salvage doesn't guarantee a zombie invasion. I can't recall having seen any zombie invasions since I16 hit, however. It might have something to do with the new Halloween event, which we'll see next week on test according to TheOcho.

I think we'll need some more information.
Specifically, how are your attack powers slotted? For SOs, typical attack slotting would be one accuracy, 3 damage, one endurance reduction and one recharge reduction.
Have you outleveled the SOs in your powers? If you're more than 4 levels above the level of the enhancement, it won't provide any benefit at all and you'll have to replace it.
How many toggles are you running during combat? While attack powers use up endurance MUCH faster than toggles, having a number of toggles running during combat can make endurance issues worse, ESPECIALLY if they don't have endurance reduction enhancements slotted.
Have you considered the Fitness power pool? It has a power called Stamina, which you can pick at level 20 or later after you've picked any two other powers from the pool. Stamina increases your endurance recovery, and while it's not a substitute for slotting endurance reducers, at the very least it'll reduce your downtime between fights. -
Quote:These days I mostly team on my main. I find Explosive Blast to be highly skippable. Energy Torrent and Explosive Blast both benefit from enemies being tightly grouped. Energy Torrent knocks back enemies in more or less the same direction, but Explosive Blast knocks back enemies radially from the point of impact. Yes, I'm well aware that it's one less AoE, but the radial knockback makes it a detriment and in my opinion it doesn't do enough damage to make up for this.Out of curiosity, are you guys mainly soloers or only in small teams with your blasters?
If you want single target damage, you really should have gone for a scrapper. If you want to help the team to quickly nail large spawns, you're going really want your two main ranged aoe's.
I do appreciate your advice on ATs though and I'll be sure to tell every Spines/Fire Scrapper I see that they should have played Blasters if they wanted AoE damage. -
Quote:I, too, dropped Explosive Blast and have never missed it. I spam Energy Torrent if I need to AoE.Guess this is a case of 'to each their own'
My Energy/Energy blaster dropped Explosive Blast and hasn't looked back.
Why on Earth would I keep a lackluster aggro magnet when I could use the slots elsewhere?
I'm 10 times more effective now that I'm not trying to use it. I kept it all the way up to level 48. Realized I very rarely used it, and the times I did only got me in trouble. Dropped it for Conserve Power so I could pop a blue after Nova and keep on trucking.
This works for him because he's a blapper that uses SS+Stealth though. -

Most likely my DM/SD. Fully IO'd, softcapped, solos (most) AVs and 8-man spawns with ease. The difference between pre-IO and post-IO performance is enormous.

I kinda missed the duck walk when it was removed, but when I saw it pop up again recently it just weirded me out all over again.

A free respec was issued with I16. Like all respecs, this does not allow you to change your primary or secondary powerset from what was chosen at character creation. You can choose different powers within your original primary or secondary powerset, or choose different pool powersets, but you can't switch to different primary or secondary powersets.

Quote:Yeah, that's Shield Charge. Scrappers get Shields too though.I don't have any Tanks and am considering rolling one, I would like to have one with the power where you Zoooom into the middle of the mob and they all go PAMF!!!
You know which one I'm talkin' about? What's it called please and which powerset do I need? And if it's a Primary power, wanna recommend a good Secondary to pair with it?
Wanna know the difference between the two?
Scrappers make Shield Charge look good. -
Just noticed the change to Mitochondria. I will miss the hijinks.

Very nice. Is that Warshade purpled out by any chance?

I could not agree more. After Going Rogue I very much hope the developers consider revamping Issue 0-1 content. It's embarrassingly bad compared to the most recent additions.
