Master badges -1 setting
Yes, MoITF is a joke.. even if you had it set for "Invincible". Seriously, they should add more requirements to the badge, like make +3 required, have it timed at 1 hour, and take away travel powers. Then it might be a little bit more challenging anyway, but still be obtainable by those who know what they are doing.
I just finished a MoITF at a setting -1 tonight and IMO this is a joke. I can see letting people have that setting for solo runs (it'd be fun and challenging for some), but common, for a master run I'd have to think you set a minimum (even con)! I was on my cold/sonic and never got below 3/4 health taking aggro running ahead of team :P yes I'm soft capped, but still it's called master, meaning it should take at least some skill :P
I guess the devs think the more they dumb things down the more people they'll pull in, not working out so far is it So easy even a caveman could do it. |

Just for comparison, Romans in general are a joke when I'm playing my kat/inv scrapper but I wouldn't want to touch em with a 5 meter pole when playing my MA/regen...

When the devs introduce the "elite" content in GR or I17 or whenever it is, and give THOSE master badges, maybe then the concept won't seem to be as much of a joke =)

I won't run any master tf/sf on -1. Feels dirty.
The MoKAAAAAAHN is still a challenge for teams without -regen, our 1st run failed because of that, but was successful on the second when we reformed the team & added a rad. I do agree that MoITF is easy tho. Have not even attempted MoBarracuda, but i can see difficulties with it.
As far as new badges, I think they need to bring back the wolves & vampires badges for the 5th Column.

At what point did I say they were easy to get? Right. I didn't. All I said is that they're a joke.
And I say that they're a joke because instead of attempting to come up with new badges, they just throw out the old Run This TF With No Deaths And No Temp Powers badge.
They could have added some more Defeat badges. They could done something with the plaques in the RWZ and added another History badge. They could have added more Day Jobs (which I'm glad, and kind of surprised, they didn't). They could have added some more badges that are awarded for completing a Story Arc. There are plenty of other, better choices than adding new Master Of badges.

Just did a speed run on STF and the last mish is so much easier now. I forgot to check the numbers on the towers, but they conned yellow(not red). No bugged repair men either. No emp. 1 hour 19 minutes. So now this is way easier than it used to be. Maybe we need stages of the master badges now depending on the rep setting (just kidding you gimped sets, kinda).
This with a team whom, either had never done it before, or hadn't in a long time. We had some deaths, but didn't set it for master. I was on my sonic/mm with no defense set bonues at all, and only died once. People will be speeding this like ITF I'm thinking. 37 merits in 30 to 40 minutes sounds about rite.
1 tank invul
2 trollers, 1 rad, 1 kin
3 scrappers
2 blasters
Edit: Forgot Flier so it's 39 or 41 if you defeat it twice.

A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!
By saying the badges are a joke, it's pretty much implying that they aren't any sort of hassle to get. Still though, who really cares what badges they add to the game. Some people like the challenge of doing the TFs with no deaths and I agree, it's better than adding more grinding badges but with the changes to some badges in i16, I doubt we'll see any more badges that require grinding to get.

Actually, the Devs have wised up and are moving away from badges that are "Do this X times". I mean sure, if you get a new enemy group, make a badge for defeating a few of thier bosses or a special critter type... but again, they're trying to get away from farming badges, so really the only thing left to reward is strategic thinking and ability.
And of course, when they make badges that ARE difficult to obtain (ski badges, anyone?), people complain. So really, what's left?

I run regular speed runs that are way faster, but the team makeup is lots better. I don't like having any scrappers on STF( they like to showboat ), let alone 3. They also don't bring much to the team most of the time, no buffs, no debuffs, no AoE, but for what we had I'd say it was lots faster than you could have expected pre I16.
A well built team will be able to fly through STF post I16 is the point.

it must be nice to be on servers where they running 24/7, there are some servers that run it onces in a blue moon as there not enough people to run one. if it at -1 so be it.
i tried tons of MoLRSF and never manage to get the master badge due to the fact the team was lacking in some areas due to the fact the powers need where not around or in another team :s, so if this -1 help the low pop servers a master badge, then so be it as it won't be a grind for us
