  1. Yes it can be done easly if you solo or run with a small team that runs though it without doing other stuff.

I started at 23 on my brute and finished at 28.9 running though it solo on +0x1, so even there I had some wiggle room.
  2. I’m looking for some feedback on my Claws/Electric armor brute. This character will be a normal teaming brute built for damage not so much for tanking and will not be used for farming. Right now she’s leveling up in Pretoria and will be parked there once she hits 22 until issue 21 goes live so I can go though First Ward with her at the levels First ward was meant to be played at.
One special note, you will notice Acrobatics in the build, which is only a place holder for the new tier 5 jump power that will be coming out with I21.

    Thanks
  3. Ok, concept trumps everything.

I can’t speak for the earth side of your build since I’ve never played earth but I’ll throw a few things out there on the kin side.

First depending on how you plan to slot your alpha and how much you use Siphon speed you may be able to drop one of the recharge reductions and add the slot elsewhere.

On my fire kin I took only the maneuvers power from leadership for the LotG mule and took fighting pool for defense and resistance, for earth your needs might be different.
Speed Boost should be slotted with and End Mod not an end redux.

I don’t bother with IR but it looks like your using that as your travel power so that’s cool.
I would place another LotG recharge in CJ rather than the +Acc, I think the recharge will serve you better.

If you can get your global recharge up a bit higher you can drop a recharge redux from fulcrum Shift and place it somewhere else.

The Force Feedback +Recharge is one of those procs that look a lot better on paper than in the field, it doesn’t proc much and when it does it’s not long enough to make much of a diferance.

Look into placing a set (4) of Kinetic Combats in Seismic Smash, just a much better set over all but it is expensive.

A set of LotG’s with a +recharge will serve you better in rock armor.

Unless you need the set bonuses I would just keep Earth’s Embrace at its base slot, or change it out for a healing set, the resistance just isn’t worth it really.

Not sure how much money you have to spend on this character but I’d look into getting a few purple sets and a few more LotG global recharge’s as you can, it seems to me your biggest weakness is your recharge speeds.
  4. first thing I'm seeing is you didn't take your fire shield, without it if you pull argo or fail to get PA out as soon as it recharges the AV will come very close to one shoting you.

The other thing I was thinking about, my Ill/rad is still in it's late 30's, is taking consume to help with end recovery in the long fights.
  5. Well my first question would be ... why earth/kin?

Earth is a lower damage ranged set with great AoE holds and sleeps. Kin is a up close and in your face self/team buffing as you debuff the bad guys set that works best with high damage high end use primaries.

Both are great sets, together they are just OK.
  6. Posting your build from Mids would be a good start.

Second I could be wrong but don't Longbow get a major power upgrade at level 40? If so you may be running head long into that.

But from what you've said it seems like your doing things OK, just need to see what your build looks like and how it's slotted.
  7. Slot a set of Ragnarok’s in Fire cages, you’ll want the damage more than the immobilize in that power as a farmer.

The Armageddon set in Hot Feet is only giving you 33.13% end reduction; Hot Feet is a MAJOR end drain and should have its end reduction maxed out or you’ll be sucking wind in no time especially with Maneuvers, Tactics, Tough and Weave running.
If you’re going to bother to slot out Boxing slot it with Kinetic Combats, it’s got far better set bonuses.

Place two of the Soulbound Allegiances in Fire Imps, one should be the Chance for Buildup and other for the set bonus should be your chose.

Transference is woefully under slotted it should be six slotted with Efficacy Adaptor for the recharge bonus. Also you’ll need the end recovery especially with your end drain.

Fulcrum shift is also under slotted it needs at least 3 slots, one Acc and two recharge reduction.

Also looking at your bonuses your accuracy is off the charts you won’t need that kind of accuracy unless you plain on fighting +4’s and once you get your T3’s the ITrials will only be +1’s

Lastly if you want to farm you need to pick up the earth mastery set, defense is 100 times better then resistance for farming.
  8. This is just a guess on my part, but I would be willing to bet that the next 4 slots will use the same salvage, incarnate threads and the common to very rare components ’s we’ve been using for Interface to Lore. I also think that the Omega slot will use the same salvage as Alpha did, now that many player have burned though most of their surplus shards and will continue to do so as they try to unlock the next 4 slots.
  9. The Freedom Phalanx Reserve, one of the games true old school super groups is looking for new members. Founded in the early days of the game the FPR has existed in one form or another since year one and was once counted as one of Infinity’s top 5 super groups.

However since those heady days of our youth, where prestige and the size of one’s base counted for everything, we’ve have mellowed, aged and for the most part dropped off the radar leaving the wild growth to those that want it more.

We however continue to exist and those that remain after all this time are considered more family then just SG members and now we’re looking for you to join us. We’re looking for experienced heroes; we’re looking for new heroes, but most of all we’re looking for leaders and future leaders.

The FPR is a mature group that spans all ages and is safe, enjoyable and inclusive for everyone even the kiddies. We run SG TF’s every Friday night at 7:30pm EST, we have a villain night with our coalition villain group every Tuesday night at 7:30pm EST and we have a newbie leveling night where members new heroes or praetorians all team up and run missions together on Wednesdays at 7:30pm EST.

Have you’ve ever been part of a SG that’s was so big that it had a multiple divisions each with its own set of leaders that were all so established within the group that it was unlikely that you would ever be noticed and your voice never heard?

Have you ever been in a group so new or so focused on growth that the only things the leaders ever did was spam recruitment broadcasts in AP and everyday you saw 10 new faces and at the same time the 5 heroes you teamed with last night are never seen again?

Have you ever been in a group with more rules of conduct then the US military and every rule is enforced with the ruthlessness of a maniacal dictator on a power trip to span the ages?

Have you ever wanted to form your own SG and recruit people that you liked being around so you didn’t have to deal with all the mind game and stress that many groups seem to live off, but never had the time to start from scratch?

If you’ve answered yes to any of the above please consider contacting the FPR, we might just be looking for you.

However there are a few things to consider first. We are a small group and at this time and have no plans to grow much bigger. We aren’t looking for drones, prestige mules, place holders or wall flowers, we’re looking for active (2 to 3 or more nights a week) members who are out going self starters and are willing to insert themselves into the day to day of a SG. We want people that will ask for help when they need it and will offer to help others when they ask. We want members that will lead TF’s and form mission teams and generally become a part of the family. In other words we’re looking for members want to become leaders and will take on a leadership role and expect to be recognized and promoted because of their skill and teamwork.

What we have to offer is a base, with more prestige then we could ever hope to spend and a well developed web site, linked in my signature, and of course there’s everyone that’s part of the group right now that would be happy to meet you and team with you.

If this sounds like a group you might want to be part of please contact me or my second in game.

    @Nevermore
    @Ninja Baby
  10. Farming, Trails, all end game content, but I still want to team with friends and the SG so I can't build it as a oure farmer.

The PS proc is in stamina the one is SB is extra.
  11. I think it’s time for some fresh eyes to look over my build and maybe buff it up a bit. It’s a good sold build but I can’t help but think it could be better, but for the life of me I can’t think how. Maybe I’m just too stuck on what I’ve built.

I do have some restrictions however, first I want to be able EX down and be somewhat effective, second I would like to get a bit more defense and maybe a little more recharge, I’m willing however to give up a bit of my recharge for defense but I’m not willing to give up defense for recharge. I’m also not willing to slot PvP IO’s they cost too much for too little return, but another set of purples is not out of the question.

Lastly I would be willing to give up smoke for something else and take the second slot from Siphon Speed if it could be put to better use.

    Below is my live build.

  12. Yes.
There are two Ouro's, blue side and red side. When you change sides you gain access to that sides Ouro and all badge arc's are available to everyone even if they've never been introduced.
  13. If I understand your question, the answer is no.

Only heroes have access to Fort Trident and only villains have access to the Crucible, Vigilantes and Rogues do not. Neither do they earn A-Merits when they reinforce their alignment. When a vigilante/rogue completes a morality mission they earn reward merits.
And should you have A-merits when you switch alignment from hero to vigilante or to rogue you lose any A-Merits that you might have.

If you want to farm merits to convert to A-Merits using the 50 reward merits + $20,000,000 you need to be either a hero or a villain.
  14. The way it works is you need to unlock the first slot to even begin unlocking the second. Lambda unlocks first interface, then Destiny. There is no way to unlock Destiny before Interface.

B.A.F. unlocks first Judgment, then Lore; again there is no way to unlock Lore before Judgment.

The same goes for the thread conversion, I don't remember which is which but one type will give credit towards unlocking first Interface and then Destiny; the other will give credit for Judgment then Lore.

You can however craft enhancements to fill whichever one you want before the slots are unlocked so if you want Destiny first you can craft your enhancements for it and as soon as you unlock it you can slot it with what you've already crafted.

  16. My question is why do these pets show up in my active pet window, have hit points (110) and a level (50+1), take damage and can be buffed, but are not combat active?

I vaguely recall somehow bungling and deleting the wand without ever activating the "cure 20 Lost" mission or something like that on one of my alts long ago -- I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess it must have been this one.

I can abandon and regain the mission to cure the 20 Lost, but I don't have the unique salvage to craft the wand anymore and I'm past that point in the arc. (When I talk to Montague he marvels that I've crafted the cure, so I think I did complete that part before the undefined dumbassery that brought me to this point.)

I have friends who will undoubtedly be doing this arc some day -- can I team with them and tag along on their wand for the 20 conversions? Would that get me through the arc and into the Midnighter Club?
You could just finish the mission using the once every 3 day mission finish option, if thats allowed for this mission.

Or yes you can join a team and tag along and finish it that way to.

Hey guys, is this happening to anyone else? Every time I finish a LS run I exit and I’m standing there crafting and breaking down my merits and I start seeing …

    And then I die?

What’s the deal with this I didn’t click my self-destruct power, and it’s happening every time. Is it a bug or something?

I swear those damn developers 8 years and they still can’t fix the bugs in this dumb game, I mean what are they doing with all my money? If they don’t fix this bug and give me credit for my deaths I’m going to rage quit like no one’s ever rage quite before.
  19. Nope, there are no healers now and there never were. Some defenders, controllers, corruptors, and dominators have healing powers but none of them are healers. Some like the empathy defenders have more healing powers to go along with their buffing powers then say a controller but even they are not “Healers” and if you play as a healer thinking you’ll be in demand you’ll likely find you’ll spend a lot of time solo.

Now then if you want to play a team support character that buffs your teammates and heals them when their injured and that character just happens to be an empathy defender or controller you’ll find a welcome place with in many teams.

Just don’t log into the game and start broadcasting “Level xx Healer looking for mission team”
  20. Fastest way is to load the game up and try and start a new character if you’re given the option to start a Praetorian then your golden. But really everyone has GR installed, there is ONLY one game, from the moment I18 went live you had it, it’s just now that you unlocked it and patched a few links to make everything run smoothly.

    No and No.

It would have a chance to porc at activation but that’s it and porcs only affect you or the enemy not team mates.
You’re far better of slotting it in Stamina where it could proc every 10 seconds.

Hehe, I love this, especially on the second mission of ITF … Oooh look big colorful rocks that go BoooM lets rush up and smack them a few times now that everything else is dead!

After my first set of Imps die due to crystal impalement I don’t bother summoning them again because I don’t want to summoning 9 more times in one mission.

This may require keeping FS stacked a bit, but that is usually no problem. Proc's, in this case, allow you to exceed the damage cap in a sense.
Yes, but damage from procs still cannot be buffed so while you may be exceeding the damage cap your only doing it by 50 to 70 points of damage, which when looked at next to the damage a controller can do at the 300% damage cap isn’t that much. Further more if it means you hit that damage cap less because you have to stack FS more often and on more targets what then have you really achieved?
Again in my opinion one damage proc in a power after hitting the ED soft cap is good, three procs in a power that doesn’t come close to the ED soft cap for damage is BAD.
Additionally you need to 6 slot Hot Feet with either Oblit or Multistrike to get the defense bonus and a melee based controller really needs to soft cap his/her defense.

Wow that really is an expansive build, but if you can afford it more power to you. As Local Man said and I agree Damage should be slotted in a power until you hit the ED soft cap and then you can slot a porc or two.

I can’t speak to the /Rad side of the build but Local Man can, click on his Ill/Rad guide, it’s very well written and will give you a very good insight into the /Rad side of your build and will also talk a little about how the /Rad powers work with other primaries such as Fire/***.
As far as the Fire side goes 6 slot Hot Feet with Muilti Strike, you want damage first end redux second and the bonuses are good, Fire/Rad like Fire Kin is a melee range fighting character so defense is a must.

Fire Cages should be slotted for damage, I went with 5 Ragnarok‘s and the Gravitational chance for hold.

In char the Basilisk’s Gaze is good, but rather than the Ghost Widow’s IO I would put a damage IO so char does a little more damage, the extra hold you get now isn’t worth a little more damage.

Drop Assault, Tactics and pick up maneuvers instead, you need the defense; Vengeance is OK if you have the powers to spare.

6 slot Fire imps, they need the damage these are your bread and butter damage dealers.
And take a PPP that gives you an armor, again you need defense or you’re going to be cut down before the holds from CC kick in.
Here my live Fire/Kin build, not a Fire/Rad
but at least you can see where I’m coming from on the Fire/ side and you can modify it to better fit the /Rad side.

  25. To the OP what’s your secondary? If it’s /Kin then no it’s not the best place for procs since Fulcrum Shift does not boost the damage of procs, as such you'll get less impact from FS. If your secondary is /rad I would think about it a bit more since your debuffs will boost the damage of your procs by default since your debuffing your targets resistance.

I like procs to get a little extra out of a power when your brushing up against the ED cap but I would never put 3 or 4 porcs in a power at the cost of damage/acc/end redux.

As far as Obliteration goes it’s a great set with some very nice bonuses, but one of the worst sets for Hot Feet. Hot Feet is a MAJOR end drain and Obliteration has very little end redux in the set. Your far better off slotting 6 of Milti Strike, it‘s bonuses aren’t as good but it will cap your end redux and allow you to run Hot Feet without fear of it burning though your end and dropping all your other toggles. Even if you’re a /kin and can refill your end with Transference you still need a mob to drain and you still need to hit, if you miss and your toggles drop your dead.
