Cure my lost Lost Curing Wand Blues!

I have a character who is now at the "run off and cure 20 Lost" stage of Montague Castellana's arc.

I don't have a Lost Curing Wand in my trays or my powers lists. I don't have the ingredients to make one.

I vaguely recall somehow bungling and deleting the wand without ever activating the "cure 20 Lost" mission or something like that on one of my alts long ago -- I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess it must have been this one.

I can abandon and regain the mission to cure the 20 Lost, but I don't have the unique salvage to craft the wand anymore and I'm past that point in the arc. (When I talk to Montague he marvels that I've crafted the cure, so I think I did complete that part before the undefined dumbassery that brought me to this point.)

I have friends who will undoubtedly be doing this arc some day -- can I team with them and tag along on their wand for the 20 conversions? Would that get me through the arc and into the Midnighter Club?

You could just finish the mission using the once every 3 day mission finish option, if thats allowed for this mission.

Or yes you can join a team and tag along and finish it that way to.

Doesn't appear to be an option. "Abandon" is, but not "Complete the mission."

The Complete Mission option used to be there, but they appear to have disabled it. I admit to abusing that myself a few times when I was in a hurry to get to Cimerora.

Your best option is to find a friend who can get the arc and help him complete it, unfortunately.

The other is to hang out in Steel Canyon and wait for someone to talk to the Latin Student. Anyone on the team when the team leader gives the password gets the badge and can get into the Midnighter Club.

Okay, it gets weirder.

I went to park the character in a dayjob and was startled to see I'm almost finished the Midnighter Club dayjob. I also have the Midnight Squad accomplishment badge. But the arc is still open, waiting for me to find a way to cure the 20 Lost.

Very odd.

If you are on a team that has someone talk to the Latin Student while you're in Steel Canyon, you will get the badge even if you haven't even started the arc. This is why I always offer my Latin Student mission to badge channels when I get there.

If you were on someone else's team as they did the arc, not only would you get the badge (as mentioned above), but if you were in the same zone as the leader when they crafted the wand, you'd be given a copy too. This would block you from crafting the wand, since you can't craft a temp you already have.

Also, some of the missions that granted the salvage used to be bugged, and sometimes failed to award the salvage. It's possible the bug has resurfaced.

Check your temp powers to make sure you don't have one. If you don't, you have two options: You can petition, and a GM will fix it for you, or (if you're 50), you can do the arc by Flashback. Once you have all the salvage, quit the arc. You'll keep the salvage, and be able to use it to craft the wand in your normal version of the mission.

The mission can't be autocompleted because if you did, then you wouldn't have the temp power, and couldn't complete the next mission (and that one can't be autocompleted, because it grants a badge, and badge missions aren't autocompletable).
