thats a bit like comparing a scrapper fighting a defender, fire/kin shud never lose to a /regen and unless the scrapper is very good the troller shud usually win, i've pwnd countless regens including chives, only one managed to finish a 0-0 draw with columna

IMHO fire/ff does better than fire/kin against a spines/regen. I've never fought chives, so I can't say, but I also fought columna and he couldnt beat me, as i was lucky enough to ko him twice, altho i dont mean by that im as good in pvp as him -

Well my first toon was an ice/ice tank back in i3. Honest to the truth I deleted it in i5 (if you were playing your tank by then, you'll understand why). I'm building an ice/nrg tank now tho he's lv34 so.. yes, i have used hibernate for a while, and if you are not alone, all i have found is that if foes are attacked, even if it's the very next second after starting to hibernate, they will ignore you and turn towards the attacker

It's not, the only counter forthis is that it can be interruptible. Not much an issue after EA

EA is autohit. I have never had end issues playing with all my toggles on (including tough and weave)+ss unless against an AV, but there is always end buffers around in those cases

I know it's not said in the info, but try the same mob with and without ss on, and then tell me. I have done it several times, and have noticed myself a really noticeable difference

Remember the OP is ice/ice, so rage is not a matter to discuss. Of course that on an ice/ss tactics would be different, but losing gauntlet and taunt aura on tank, you would only have taunt left (that if you have taken it previously), which would decrease your tanking effectivity IMHO. Aid self replenishes your health and EA your endurance, so hibernate would only be needed as a panic button. Besides remember Super Speed has only lost its +def bonus in pvp, it's still pretty handy for pve since your tank is based upon defense

You totally lose stealth, but def buffs stay up. /storm is an end hog set so SI might probably be problematic. If it's not to ghost, and just for the end buffs i'd go for GI. If you mean to ghost, get SI instead

Go for aidself, its great being used after herding mobs, and also after EA, when you have taken the alpha and now your defense is boosted enough to let u heal without being interrupted

Because if the /regen is melee, caltops will be a real pain in the a.s.s for him, as you can fire him from range and he cant get away from caltrops quickly -
My bad then. In that case, web grenade to slow regens or holds to stack is the way to go, depending on your play style. If you go for web grenade i'd also get caltrops, as you are a spiney

GI with 2 rech is perma, SI lets u fight without having to renew you invis as long as you have enough endurance, PFF enables you to "ghost", but remember you will aggro the whole place.
If you attack while using SI or GI you will have some time of stealth supression, but u will keep the def bonus up all the time afaik. In other words, supresion doesnt affect def bonus, only stealth -
Hmm i thought epic hold for scrapper did slow when against mez protection, as any other controller hold does in pvp

Kinda hard to beat a /regen playing a /sr. Since you are a spiney I'd jump around spamming throw spines and impale. After some shots, your opponent should be noticeable slowed, and so his recharge. Better than web grenade i'd go for the epic hold if you only plan to use it against regens: not only it slows it but can also hold him if you stack enough of them. Also get lucks for duels instead of greens, they are much more useful imo

But that way you'd be missing recharge speed, which you dont really need for toggles. Having some endreds on toggles enables you to have your attacks slotted with 2xacc 3xdmg 1xrech until FS, wich will enable you to have them 1xacc 3xdmg 2xrech (and thus needing just 3 attacks plus BU from primary)

So you reckon a scrapper with throw spines, spines burst and energy torrent couldnt? Or a troller confusing MM's pets to death, or with fulcrum, force bubble or with rad debuffs? Or a blaster with fire ball/nova/sniping from distance so that pets in BG dont attack it? I think most ATs can fight a MM and have its chances even tho they dont have tp foe -
If blasters have holds mag3... what mag are trollers holds then?? 4 and 5 when crit??? that makes no sense

Dont know much about mind, but for /FF in pve get:
Personal Force Field
Deflection Shield
Insulation Shield
Dispersion Bubble
The rest is skippable
As for pools, I'd go for Fitness, Speed, Leaping and Medicine
