Regen Killing

Ok im looking for a way to kill regens. I have came up with a plan but not sure if it wud work, I am spine/sr and i was wondering if i got web grenade from epics and slot each of my spines attcks with slow wud it effectivly stop their heals coming back so fast that i cud kill them?

Possibably but break frees might hinder this plan I think

Well i've never had a web grenade on me to be honest, but i've had snow storm on me. And break frees can't stop that slow down. So probably not no.

Could do, but they could just Buff up before hand with Dp IH etc . . and the de-buffs might run out before the buffs have gone.

But you could test it out on the test server first before making actualy changes to your real character.

Kinda hard to beat a /regen playing a /sr. Since you are a spiney I'd jump around spamming throw spines and impale. After some shots, your opponent should be noticeable slowed, and so his recharge. Better than web grenade i'd go for the epic hold if you only plan to use it against regens: not only it slows it but can also hold him if you stack enough of them. Also get lucks for duels instead of greens, they are much more useful imo

yeha i was gonna do that, and i was hoping i could last long enuf for their buffs to wear off, and with hasten webgrenade charges in 2 secs

Slotting slow wont do much, it only increases the actual slow (movement reduction), not the recharge debuff.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't regens impervious to web grenades thanks to integration?

If you're SR fighting regen take lots and lots of blues and if he has FA and tactics then run like the wind coz he's going to punch right through your shields.

I guess he's using the web grenades for the -recharge, not the immob.

i dont mean web grenade for immob, i meant for the -recharge to stack with the -recharge from my spines, to stop his helas coming back to fast and allowing me to kill him

[/ QUOTE ]-rech will still be best, web grenade combined with spines powers should be able to give quite nice -rech even when you cant slot it.

Done it reeediculously quickly a few times without FA. No idea about Tactics, never tried it.
FA as it was made enough of a mockery of things, and Geas of the Kind Ones was so embarrassing I felt dirty.

Um which scrapper epic hold actually has -recharge? Web grenade is the only one that I know of.. In general I think epic holds are more lacking in secondary effects than their primary/secondary counterparts.

Regens will always be difficult to beat with a non-debuffer character. Only recently with my new build my blaster has managed to beat some but they were so inconsistent with their heals I dont consider that much of an achievement.

My point exactly. Btw I have respecced since last time, I could fight your regen again, MaX. But like Ive said on several occasions, I shouldnt be able to kill good regens unless they make mistakes with heals or put MoG on.. At best it should be 0-0.

That always depends on the hold itself. They dont automatically slow. Mez protection has nothing to do with it, some holds just have secondary effects added. Grav tends to slow, Fire does DoT, Mind has no extra effects afaik etc.

My bad then. In that case, web grenade to slow regens or holds to stack is the way to go, depending on your play style. If you go for web grenade i'd also get caltrops, as you are a spiney
