A few people have mentioned the wiki, but no one else has said this and it bears mentioning:
Avoid the CoH wiki hosted on Wikia. It has malware-embedded ads on it, and is inaccurate/out of date to boot. The only wiki URLs you should go to are http://www.paragonwiki.com or http://wiki.cohtitan.com, which as Rajani Isa said are just two URLs for the same site. -
The guide on Lusca's wiki page seems like it was written years ago. Even without Incarnate abilities much of the game's older content has been made trivialized by tweaked-out IO builds.
If you're not careful, you can draw aggro from the other tentacles (and the head itself I think), so I'm guessing you guys were probably staying focused on the single tentacle and not straying too far from it. -
Quote:I have no trouble tabbing in and out of CoH whenever I want, so it's not the game's fault.Add me to the list of people quite frustrated by this door bug. I filed a bug report for each of the doors I encountered but I simply don't have the time/patience to wait for some GM to come along and save me. When I have City of Heroes open, I can't really do anything else because of how the game changes my computer screen. It's very frustrating, especially since neither WoW nor Aion does this to me.
Anyway, I'm thrilled that this is finally being fixed and eagerly await the push to Live. The only character I've been wanting to play is my Praetorian Dark/Psy Defender, and I've had to let her (and consequently the entire game) sit until this has been fixed. -
Midnighter Club also has a mission contact (Mercedes Sheldon).
-
I'm mostly finding it harder to log on because missions in Praetoria are completely broken and unplayable. I wanted to work on my last remaining Praetorian and I can't without summoning a GM every other mission.
As for Incarnates, I had assumed the devs would limit the powers to the endgame content only, which they did with the Incarnate Level Shifts, but that's it. I still won't be surprised when they realize that they need to limit which powers are available for regular content, nor will I be surprised when I see the very same people complaining about the game being too easy start gnashing their teeth at their shinies being taken away from them.
Everybody loses. -
31 million isn't really that much, especially if you play the market. You're gonna want to look into that.
ParagonWiki has plenty of info on the Incarnate System. Make sure the wiki you're going to is NOT the Wikia one; that one isn't accurate and is prone to malware infections. -
Just want to point out that forum reg date is not necessarily an indicator of how long someone has been playing. You have to register separately on the forum and you can put that off quite a bit. I started in July 2005, for instance.

Quote:We're not talking about Wikipedia. Wikia is a separate wiki hosting site, and that is the one known to have malware.(Thanks for the link to Paragon Wiki. Is Wikipedia really that bad? I know of one credible threat on Wikipedia that would be widespread due to volume of use and ease of implementation but I've not seen it implemented. Other than that, no prob detected on any of my malware systems despite extensive visits and edits.)

Quote:You're half-right. ParagonWiki (at either paragonwiki.com or wiki.cohtitan.com) is the safe City of Heroes wiki. But there's nothing wrong with Wikipedia, which is a general purpose wiki. You're thinking of the CoH wiki hosted at wikia.com, which is known to be a haven for malware. As for the Wikipedia, don't ever go there and I suggest running scans on your computer as it's a host of malware. Paragon Wiki is the place you want to go for all your CoX info.
I suspect the OP may in fact have been referring to the City of Heroes page on Wikipedia, specifically this section. -
27/30. I'm not even a big Batman fan, nor have I read that much Shakespeare (I think As You Like It is the only one from the list I've read, and that was years ago).

Last I remember, arcs/badge missions from unlockable contacts didn't show up in Ouro at all until you unlocked them.

Quote:Presumably I never noticed this because I started playing a few weeks before the release of Issue 5!Not true! At the release of Issue 4 the Fambly were updated to use the new pants and jackets options.
I had a feeling when I was writing my post that there had probably been an earlier enemy group facelift, but I hadn't started playing yet when it happened.
At any rate, those revamps were specifically targeted, it's hard to imagine them picking a single enemy group to give new faces to. -
Given that civilian NPCs haven't been updated since the game was released and the only enemy group to ever receive a (metaphorical) facelift has been the Rikti, I doubt it. Future enemies will probably utilize it, I imagine.
New tech doesn't typically get applied game-wide unless it's something like Ultra Mode. -
I just can't get over the concept of Superman fighting an epic battle against a powerful foe while at the same time taking a leisurely walk around the world in order to connect with the common man. I know the two books are meant to take place at different times but seeing both those synopses in the same release list is just weird to me.
-
It's worth pointing out that if you intend on starting a new badger in Praetoria, while you can get the badges Chad Gulzow-Man mentioned (Avid Reader, Loyalist, Resistance Member and Moral High Ground), you won't be able to go back to get them once you leave Praetoria (and Avid Reader is Praetorian tutorial only), so you want to be sure you get all the Moral Choice missions you can for Moral High Ground (you need 5, but the choice you make when you leave Praetoria counts), and change your loyalty at least once so you can get both Loyalist and Resistance member.

Given that Family Guy is already a pretty solid clone of Flintstones in many ways, you might be hoping for a bit much.

I think I'm describing a different scream than everyone else for 2 reasons:
1) War Mace/Shield (with the shield out, mind you) doesn't sound like a Tarzan yell at all, it's really more of a non-animalistic growl.
2) Doesn't fit Golden_Avariel's descriptor of "awful", it's pure awesome on a stick (or war mace). -
Can't speak for Super Strength but War Mace has a different Taunt sound and animation when paired with Shield Defense. It's really amazing, sometimes I like run around and use it on grays just for kicks.
-
Dunno about the first. The second sounds like overheating. Do the cards have enough room to breathe inside the case?
-
Pretty sure Nemesis would exclusively listen to recordings of his own voice.

Quote:Especially since Spider-Man Unlimited precedes CoH by 5 years and GR by 11 years.Resistance groups working in sewers is a very old trope. Not everything is related to CoH.
That screenshot doesn't really look anything like the Resistance bases beyond the fact that they are both resistance bases inside a sewer. I really doubt it's a reference. -
Am I the only person who thinks this season has been pretty "meh" so far? This was probably the best episode of the 4, but that's not saying much.

Quote:Assuming you're right and the OP meant Electric Blast instead of Electric Assault, absolutely /unsigned. I like having 3 holds on my Elec^3 Blaster and being able to trivially hold EBs while I pound the snot out of them.....you must be looking at a different Elec Assault set than the one ingame, it doesn't have Tesla Cage last I checked. Elec Blast does, but Assault doesn't. And everything that gets Elec Blast gets Shocking Bolt already in their epic pool.
Actually that entire suggestion makes far more sense if you consider elec blast instead of elec assault. I'm thinking typo. That said, assuming the above is true it'd be fine with me. Having a third single target attack in elec blast would make it a far better set overall. Hell, screw giving it the same numbers as bitter freeze ray. Make it a proper tier 3 blast with mez attached, like Cosmic Burst in rad blast.
