  1. Personally I think a shield superstrength tanker would be good. I say this cause my fifty shield superstrength fire epic has three good aoe powers purpled out and high on recharge mods with against all odds and rage puts u near the Dmg cap I would slot spiritual for more stomp shield charge action or cardiac. Otherwise fire kins are good and u could get the psychic epic for mezz protection. BTW the more u stomp and charge the more they flop around so it acts as some good defense to have a good offense.
  2. SS/invulnerable brute. Fire/psy dom. And my warshade....just can't get into them I really don't like my fire devices blast either....I have a lot of toons I don't like LOL. My favorites though are my sheild SS tanker and my ice cold defender.
  3. Lady grey tf I always get 7-9 shards. Someone said they got 21 but I think he was lying. Cim tf I have gotten 12 before but usually get around 7 that's kill all's.
  4. just an fyi if you can get a sonic defender or troller on your team you can get considerable resistance to toxic. my sonic defender can buff the entire team with near 60% toxic resistance.
  5. What would u think if the entire group stays in one position and have one Guy dedicated to team teleporting away from the blue pods? That way all the pods stay in one spot and makes maneuvering the team easy.... just a thought. Could be real easy for a team wipe though if he fails to to LOL.

    Respec QoL

    Respec Suggestions:

    - Current Build window {while viewing the current respec you can have a small window where you can view your current build to see what powers you have an slots without the use of 3rd party builders} maybe a minimized current build where you can switch between the builds to refer to what powers you need to choose.

    - Enhancement placements {instead of manually putting enhancements in one at a time you can have a option to auto place named enhancement sets of your choice in the power you desire or have the system automatically sort them in their respective powers but still have to put generic sets in manually}


    - Auto save respec {if you crash or lock up or for some reason cut short in your respec have a function where when you type /respec or speak to the respec npc to automatically pick up where you left off.}

  9. keep in mind damage cap for brute is a lot higher than a tanker. if i have 50 fulcrum shifts on me i'll still do the same damage on footstomp of around 242 dmg i believe...but a brute will do a lot more...the only way a tanker can do more dmg is with resistance debuffs. :P
  10. No its not lacking. I have a lvl 50 sonic/sonic defender and i'm able to buff everyone on the team with 50+% resistance to everything except psi including my bubble. The bubble gives resistance + mezz protection. I can slap my friendly debuff AoE on my tanker and debuff everything in its path. on top of that i can drop liquefy in large mobs and its the equivilent to giving everyone on the team Elude combined with power buildup ancillary pool. with my sonic attacks and debuffs I am seriously doing some -res debuffs. Its not a highly desireable set i think because most people are ga ga over defense buffs and frankly with Io's and stuff defense buffs are highly desireable stacking up passed the soft cap. I think when teams start to realizing that having 1 cold and 1 sonic on a team is epic they will start being desireable. if you have 1 cold and 1 sonic you can pretty much give your team awesome def buffs awesome res buffs slows -def -res -kb's -tohit control combine that with a rad or emp or kin and you have a serious killing machine.

  12. the fastest STF i have EVER ran was with 8 defenders...it was easy cheesy...in fact that same night we were having a race with the all controller stf team and they failed...
  13. i slotted kin combats for the S/L defense in my attacks and put lotg's in all the defenses and regen tissue, numina regen and numina heals for regen. also slotted the 3% defense unique which all together combined with the buffs from io's you get very good defenses, resistance, recharge and regen. to be honest though the damage output is not that great most of your attacks are single target except footstomp & fire ball i guess i'm so in love with my sheild tanker alternating charge,stomp,fireball its a continual change of AoE carnage :P anyways i love my lvl 50 willpower he's great for hami raids as well if you do them, its just an above average all around surviveable build. pop your tier nine for more survivability and have a rezz power its just a cool set. love it.
  14. all my tanks get it except stone tanks. I especially use tough/weave for my sheild tanker. and having tough/weave is great for willpower. i would assume getting tough/weave would be ideal for having a sheild scrapper i didn't get it for any of my other scrappers though.
  15. what really needs to be done is to make sb a aoe buff instead of individual. its the cause of a lot of problems in the game having to manually buff each team member with speed boost every couple of minutes especially since its one of the most sought after buffs.

    Uber veterans

    Well i'm close to being uber :P i have over 15 lvl 50's and my first lvl 50 was an emp/electric defender. I don't play him much, only when a healer is really needed. I play all my characters, I usually use whatever toon best fits the team i'm in but mostly i play my sheild/ss tanker and my cold/ice defender. My favorite archtype to play is defenders. When i want maximum carnage its my tanker sheild charge is really fun.

    I'm sure this might have been suggested before but in CoH you only have the option on task forces for 8 players and I was thinking today how different it would be to have multi teamed task forces. The idea would go like this. 2-3 teams of 8 working together either on same mission or different missions and meeting together for the final mission. Just some ideas off the top of my head would be stuff like one team would need to defend a base or an area the other team would go in and complete the objective. This idea would create multiple objectives for each team that would need to coordinate for the final objective. One scenerio would possibly land in bloody bay where recluse has launched an all out assault on the hero base and one team would need to defend it and take out key targets while another hero team would lead an assault on the villain base and have a list of objectives to complete together. Maybe key players would have temporary powers to assist in certain circumstances that is required in the game or just all out fun i think it would be cool to operate a turret or fly one of those longbow jets or some sort of land vehicle halo style I know it may sound too complicated or possibly far fetched but, i think i'm ready for something different and which requires more teamwork. anyways any thoughts or ideas would be great.

    Player Rating

    I'm having a hard time finding the right words for this but hopefully the "Idea" can be conveyed generally. I would like to suggest an Honor system that adequately reflects the players integrity in gameplay. If a player joins a Task Force and quits in the middle it will reflect negatively on their rating. If players grief a team or another player, feedback can be left in the form stars like the AE rating system. My point is its become difficult or near to impossible in some circumstances to put together a good team without whiners,complainers,quitters etc.... It would also add an element of gameplay to the system where people could experience the consequences of their actions which would deter griefing players and teams. anyways its probably not a great idea for an MMO but in my experience with groups/teams/task forces its always good know you have someone good covering your back, with confidence that the first sign of trouble their not going to say "I gotta log" knowing their just switching toons. granted there are real life issues that can happen and it might be difficult to distinguish between those in a virtual world. But, it would be nice to have a rating or honor system or "Reputation" to go on while assembling a team.

    Brute or Tanker

    Tanker, my sheild/ss tanker can dish it out and take it. IO'd out with Recharge and soft capped defenses with moderate resistance. also against all odds is sorta likea mini fury :P stacked with Rage and your a powerhouse. I like teaming with Kinetics or Empaths.
  21. I think they have been doing a better job of adding open world content stuff like Rikti Raids and Winter Lord spawning. Content like putting fires out etc.. don't get much attention. I wouldn't mind if they put more open world content in the game, it definitely needs attention. Would be cool if occasionally villains assaulted a part of a hero zone and a system wide message went out for heroes to stop the attack. There's definitely more room for expanding the Open world content.

    Does this mean i'm not ignoring this person anymore? with the amount of RMT spammers my list is always full. I ignore one person then unignore another person that i want to ignore. any chance to make this list bigger?
  23. problem i see with that is new customers, they would basically be catering to customer who have lvl 50 characters. I'm not sure that would justify spending hundreds of thousands if not millions on an expansion that large for the current customer base, the goal would be to attain new customers. now if they could buy coh2 and start out at 50 that would be one thing but not if its just to existing customers porting their lvl 50 to coh2.

    I have an Acer laptop that i play coh/cov on. The graphics card/processor/ram exceed minimum requirements for city of heroes. I am running an ati xpress1100, I have yet to find a driver that runs coh/cov smoothly...currently am getting a lot of stuttering, lag, & all around poor performance, in fact the latest driver pack deleted my avatar, i basically run around invisible. Any chance there will be a stable driver on my product for this game?
  25. If you copy a character onto test and create a super group you will be given 36,020,000 prestige. More than enough to play with Then once you are confident with the base editor, start again and see what you can do with the prestige your SG has earned so far.


    can we update this please, i just patched,transferred toon on test, made supergroup and tried to fool around with building a base and only had 20k prestige, not 36mill thanks,
