Ouro (Mission) arcs are balanced at 12 merits per hour rather than the TF 20 merits per hour.
The last BIG outlier that I was aware of (Spy Hunt) was hammered down by making the last mission not timed. (and thus not fail-able) -
Simply not going to happen.
Having those missions around was an exploit (a small one to be sure), closing the exploit was the right thing to do. -
The 5 ' Fame bubbles' under the bar.
Each takes 20 hours to deflate.
No tips will drop if all 5 are full -
We want information, information information!
...
I'm not a number I am a free man! -
With respect to Arb Fab, I really don't think he has stood out from many other fine folks to get a TF contact named after him.
-
On Triumph/Hero I was Popping in and out of Ouro all day (running Tina arc in flashback) and again this evening (short cut to IP/Talos from PI) with no issues.
What server(s) were you seeing this issue on ? -
Emp/sonic would fit the bill I think
Emp is great at turning a small team into unstoppable defeating machines.
The /sonic adds some significant -res from your attacks -

I don't have solid data one way or the other, however anecdotally, most people I know are on at least the 3 month plan.
A good portion are annual (well actually the 12+2 promotion last time it ran). -
Buy direct recipes - any level or lower
the random rolls - will come at your level or the highest the recipe comes at whichever is appropriate. -
Scanning through I didn't see this explicitly mentioned
Ventrillo itself does not enforce a password change every 2 weeks. The SG vent I use has been the same Password for over a year now, it think closer to 18 months.
The 2 week change is a people (being odd) issue not a vent issue -
Because TCS lives under a bridge, and likes to start threads to get attention.

The report points out that Blizzard's World of Warcraft has the most number of players in the U.S. out of all the MMOs it tracked, just in front of NeoPets and Club Penguin. Other MMOs in the top five include Disney ToonTown and RuneScape.
WOW - obviously a sub based MMO. (14.95/month)
Neopets - erm this is more a website/community than a MMO from what I understand. Is Steam an MMO ?
Club penguin - free to play (sub based as add on ) ($5.95 /month)
Toowntown - free to play (sub based as add on) ($9.95 /month)
Runescape - free to play (sub based as add on) (from $5.95 /month)
So yeah, of the 'top 5' MMOs, 3 are free to play MMOs, one isn't a MMO by almost anyone's definition, and one is the aberration in the industry that is WOW.
Given the same report says the UK as the second biggest market (wot no China, wot no Korea as #1 and #2), I'd happily suggest that this journalism was pulled from the nether regions and simply is not to be trusted. -
This is true, Ventrillo and Vista is a combination to give one headaches...

Last time we had this I rescued some unplayed alts from Freedom to a server where they would get used, so no.

Quote:The streak break ensures that the average is greater than 95% over time and on average.Don't make me summon Arcanaville. This is basic statistics. If you have a 5% chance to miss that means, on average, you're going to miss 1 in 20 attempts. Com'n people, I'm not pulling this out of my ***, this is basic math. Now the random nature of things might allow you to go 25 or even 30 attacks before you get a miss, but it will balance out the next time you miss twice in 5 attacks. It's an *average* over time.
Part of the problem here too is the un-randomness of the random number generator which can sometimes make you feel like you're missing a lot, or not missing at all. But at the end of the day you're are indeed going to miss 1 out of 20 times. This ain't speculation, it's fact.
Just as my perception sees every miss and curses under my breath, your perceptions are ignoring them. But they are there.
Anytime you have a miss at that tohit level, the next roll is effectively 100% thanks to the streak breaker.
Over time the 95% and the 100% will tend to settle in between those numbers. -
Useful for those of us with pets/henchmen.
also still useful on hami raids, though the cheaply available jetpacks has reduced the need somewhat.
So no, add don't replace -
I'd probably roll them at 35-39 tier.
Maybe craft and store some, but probably sell most of the good stuff.
I do always keep ~300 merits on a 50 both red and blue for an 'instant buy' of any recipe I want.
So roll down to that level of merits. -
Takes me back to my first PC I played this game on. 3-5 mins to load a zone was the norm, I got very good at utilizing shortcuts.

... and of course those were not my words, but a direct quote from the person who writes the MMO designer blog.
That being our very own Positron. -
Quote:I'd disagree for 2 reasonsIt shouldn't be that way. Everything should be purchaseable with Inf. Regardless of my level.
1) inf earning disparity between late game and early game
2) Not everything should be earnable by mowing down hordes of minions with a fire/kin (or SS/fire etc). You have different reward structures to encourage a variety of play. -
I know you said you aren't looking for build advice, but the key thing is +recharge.
Even grabbing doctored wounds (2 heals, regen aura and Absorb pain (5+endmod)) and red fortune (fortitude), which will give you an extra 25% recharge is noticeable.
This is also rather cheap -
Quote:Such thoughts are double plus ungood.Morality Merits sounds like something out of, like, 1984 or something. Or some McCarthyist parody.
"Citizen, remember, turning in UnAmComSymps isn't just good patriotism, it's good business! Morality Merits can get you a washing machine, a new refrigerator, or even a NEW CAR!"
Report to the Ministry of Love to correct this.
