  1. I have to admit I like cut scenes as well. Villains monologue, we all know this is a villain constant so I like having it in the game. As for overacting, of course they over act! Have you ever read a comic? Mr. Milk Toast would make a very poor villain for our heroes to beat. If it bores you then distract yourself, I want to watch villain egos expand so I get that feeling of in your face when they finally go down. I would love to have voice acting for these as well as long as it was well done voice acting. As for Nightstar's crotch shot and Mother Mayhem's ahhh assests, I think we all know superhero comics are aimed at teen boys, that is why the breast slider runs out as far as it does...
  2. Fining Kidnap victims and those who have had their purses snatched is what pays for the nice Black Helicopter line you like so much bucko. Those things aren't free you know.
  3. Just a quick note of thanks to some of the fine leaders who have led me to success so far in Admiral Sutter's TF, Lamda and The BAF. XFunk led a great Sutter run I was on, nice new task force and we had no real issues. Mental Kitty led a great Lambda run I was on, I had a rocky run on it but after running with her as the leader I am much more comfortable with what is happening on that one now. Altigre Lachatte ran a great BAF last night, again, I have been on a couple that went south, but that one showed that it wasn't complicated, just needs some coordination. When I first read about the new content I thought they would be beasts, but thanks to Pinnacle's supply of great team leads I am much moving along the incarnate trail pretty smoothly now. Thanks again to the leads and the many, many Pinns who have been running the new content with me.
  4. Biggest issue my team had was getting out of the collapsed highway section. Lots of ways that look like they are big enough to leave through, but are not led to a lot of frustration before someone with teleport pulled half the team out for the last fight. Otherwise a fun and challenging task force.
  5. This is great! I just met the Blood Widow of my dreams! Thanks Tony!
  6. I regard a full inspiration tray at the end of a mission as a badge of shame. As for rezzes, I email them to myself, I normally have five or so for those occasions that warrant it and they don't take up space in my tray.
  7. It is my suspicion that this entire thread is one big Vik roll.
  8. Which AE on Saturday? Everyone on 50s or does it matter? Not sure I can make it, but I am going to try. I have enjoyed some of the stories I have soloed, looking forward to seeing some arcs as a team player.
  9. I loved the Arachnos temp contractor terms and conditions I ran into in a rogue tip mission, especially rule 6, which one villain notes as his reason not to attack you in the mission itself. :

Operative Vargas reaches into his belt and pulls out a folded piece of paper. He unfolds it and hands it to you. You read it over...

    ARACHNOS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This document will outline the terms and conditions regarding your temporary work for Arachnos. Please read over them carefully and then sign your name on the bottom line.

    1. You will follow all instructions given to you by the highest in command in Arachnos, unless an Arbiter should intervene, in which case the proper rules for following Arbiter laws shall be enforced.

    2. You shall utilize all of your abilities to their fullest extent in order to complete the task given before you.

    3. You will be paid in full once said assignment has been completed.

    4. If you are captured, Arachnos will spend no less than 1 day and no more than 2 weeks to rescue you.*

    5. In the event of being captured, you will deny any affiliation with Arachnos.

    6. Do not attack any members of Arachnos, even if they 'have it coming to them'.

If you are satisfied with everything in this agreement, please sign on the line below!

*Time of rescue will depend on how quickly the operative in charge can file the proper papers to be reviewed by a council of Arbiters.
  10. I might be able to play then and would love to see some of the better story archs in the MA. If this starts to form up let me know what is needed.
  11. My Soldier of Arachnos would love a big Judge Dredd style Lawgiver motorbike. For game purposes it would likely be better as a hoverbike, but a fast ground bike would be fantastic.
  12. Interesting story. My son started to play when he was nine as well and at the time I wouldn't let him team up with anyone other than me or my real world friends who knew him. Your son is likely better than mine was, but mine couldn't keep up with chat and was easily distracted which made him a real liability on teams and that combined with my concerns about the "John Gabriel's Greater Internet ____wad Theory" kept me from allowing him into task forces and the like. My son is older now but I still watch closely when he plays online, he still misses tells and team chat pretty often, but soon enough he will be dealing with the jerks on his own. Glad you were close by when this incident happened to show your boy how to respond, I think dealing with internet jerks will be fact of life for kids growing up today. I would still one star the team leader as many others above had said, even when I play with an adult who is playing erratically there is no need to be a jerk to them, just note them and move on.
  13. While waiting around for a team to get together I will fortune tanks first as they have the riskiest job normally, then the team leader for forming the team, then anyone else as time allows. If someone doesn't want one I will of course skip them. Fortunes are by no means a requirement for success, but other than for hard core immersive role players I can't think of why anyone should be offended by them in a team. I don't throw them around at Wentworths and the like, but I am not offended when someone hits me with one there.

I just tried it with another praetorian and was stopped at the doors to both hero and villain sides, no idea why it let me do it in December. Thanks for the info on Acantha, didn't know about her when I ran to Croatoa. On a meta level it surprises me that primals can come to praetoria, but not vice versa pre-20. I understand from a story point of view for the praetorian point of view, but why allow weak primals in?
  15. Not sure how the Pocket D is supposed to work for Praetorians, but I took one of mine out to Paragon through to Kings Row, then caught a train to Croatoa to pick up my extra halloween slot. I didn't think it would be locked down as I know Primals can come into Praetoria the same way.
  16. Really great job, and a fun intro to the game that covers a lot of basics. A hard combo to pull off and you did a great job!
  17. On The Streets by Linda Summers

This week’s break out from the Zig released a savage criminal that the city was hoping would never see the light of day again, the Honey Badger. The Honey Badger is rumored to be the result of an Arachnos experiment gone wrong, creating something so savage that it can’t be controlled. We embedded some video here so you can see him in action.

Watch him run in slow motion. He runs all over the place. Oh he has got a snake and now he is eating it like he just doesn’t care! He is crazy! Others in the city watch him work and take stuff as he flings it around. Look, he is Foxster grabbing a bag of coins Honey Badger has flung from the bank. Honey Badger doesn’t care, he just keeps looting! Now look, here comes Longbow, Honey Badger don’t care, he just keeps robbing and knocking down the Eagles.

The video shows it clearly, he has no conscience, Honey Badger just don’t care. If you see him stay well away, especially if you are a snake because he eats snakes like there is no tomorrow. Can the city be saved from the Honey Badger menace? Face it, Honey Badger is badass.

  18. Red and Black were good enough for Grandpa and they are good enough for you! You kids today with your fancy green and yellow.... Hey! Get off my lawn you punks!
  19. I normally target through the tank (or whoever is up front smacking stuff ) and as I rule I let them know it ahead of time as a courtesy. Normally this works great but you have to be careful if they are selecting a new group before the old mobs are done as you can shoot them before the tank/scrapper/crazed defender has had time to make them angry at them. The only other problem I have sometimes run into is when a tank is slow to switch targets after dropping one, but as long as they are up front and active they are normally at the center of the crowds and that is where I want to bring my special sunshine and happiness.
  20. Thanks again for running, a nice set of unusual TFs/SFs, wish I could have been around all day. Much appreciated.
  21. Won't be there until the late afternoon, but absolutely want to join in and appreciate the advance notice and your work in organizing it. Always sad about how slow the Pinnacle board is at times.

Shhhhhh! Lets tell them that after they run this, then they can run stuff for that next. I am just happy to have a slate of cool stuff I can plan for.
  23. Sounds like fun, may have two eligible and look forward to pitching in!
  24. I think Bully has the best response to the news of any of places I have seen it talked about. Be sure to mouse over on the pictures.
  25. The population of the server also makes a big difference, I find it much easier to team on Virtue than on Pinnacle. Servers do have global chat channels, you can search channels if you right click your chat box. In the search box put the name of your server and look for the most active channels and join them. Some of them require approval before you talk, but most you can pitch right in and look for teams. Also look for channel N P C for general help and questions, they are very good there. For a good list of guides see the Wiki here is has a number of very good guides. Also see the player guides in the forums, they are mostly builds for types of heroes but there is some great information there. Welcome to the game!
