Win a copy of the Animal Pack! (For realz)
Okay, here's a short and quick origin story that I came up with. I haven't outright said that it's a mutant origin, but I hope it's implied that she's a mutant. I've got (unrelated to this story) costume ideas which will go into a separate post later.
"I was once normal, but what is the true definition of 'normal'? I was a beautiful, athletic young woman with ambitions and dreams. On my 21st birthday, I was lured to the Rogue Isles by its charm and ideals of villainy. It was there I felt a yearning to become powerful. I became ruthless and strong, nothing would stand in my way, not even that loser Recluse. I did have one weakness grow on me while in the Rogue Isles, and that was my weakness for collecting badges. I learned that some were tantalizing and simple to get, others I needed to be cutthroat to merely get close to their acquisition. It was sweet and cruel at the same time. I knew that the badges would help increase my notoriety and solidify the chance to overthrow Recluse.
During this period of personal growth, my body adapted to the changes around me. My skin darkened, hair grew rapidly and lightened. Those changes were minor compared to the tail that was beginning to grow out on my backside.
It was then that I knew that an adopted name would suit me far more in the Rogue Isles than my given name ever would. And thus I became known as Honey Badger."

This weeks break out from the Zig released a savage criminal that the city was hoping would never see the light of day again, the Honey Badger. The Honey Badger is rumored to be the result of an Arachnos experiment gone wrong, creating something so savage that it cant be controlled. We embedded some video here so you can see him in action.
Watch him run in slow motion. He runs all over the place. Oh he has got a snake and now he is eating it like he just doesnt care! He is crazy! Others in the city watch him work and take stuff as he flings it around. Look, he is Foxster grabbing a bag of coins Honey Badger has flung from the bank. Honey Badger doesnt care, he just keeps looting! Now look, here comes Longbow, Honey Badger dont care, he just keeps robbing and knocking down the Eagles.
The video shows it clearly, he has no conscience, Honey Badger just dont care. If you see him stay well away, especially if you are a snake because he eats snakes like there is no tomorrow. Can the city be saved from the Honey Badger menace? Face it, Honey Badger is badass.
Two great entries guys!
Keep them coming, deadline is only 4 days away!
(As a brief aside; do not consider me seriously for the contest... I already have the pack... I'm just having a little fun here...)
Drone 74382 had always been a diligent bee. He took his nectar processing job very seriously and was proud of his accomplishments both in volume produced and taste quality of his product. He would have continued on his entire life satisfied with his lot had it not been for the germination of a simple idea in the hive's middle management.
"Let's give them rewards for production!" said Drone 54284 excitedly.
"Rewards aren't in the budget," responded 39992 with a roll of his antenae.
"They don't have to be REAL rewards," 54284 said with a wicked tilt to his mandibles. "We'll call them 'recognition rewards' or something silly like that. Just titles and a little piece of wax with a ribbon or something."
Drone 74382 was inspired by these new medals and patches that were awarded. Later, as he earned more and more of the useless little things, his inspiration became obsession. He had to have more of them! He drove himself mercilessly, earning Recognition Rewards in volume, taste, artistry, life time achievement and all other categories.
He became a legend. And in that hive he would ever-more be known as... The Honey Badger.
My mind wanders so often you've probably seen its picture on milk cartons. - Me... the first person version of the third person Steelclaw

In the southern reaches of Kenya, the cry, 'Cabio Sile Shango' has been echoing from the hills more frequently than superstition or even the most violent thunderstorm should warrant. Gone nearly unnoticed by those dwelling across the ocean, a new and powerful entity has arisen that threatens indiscriminately... and is on the move. The children of Africa all celebrate his departure, but know that it can only mean someone else's demise.
Azuria has been tracking the Africa-born man (if he still is a man) and has grown ever worried. Though agents of the M.A.G.I. have not recovered much information, they do have three facts in hand. First, the man appears to have tapped into a path of the Incarnate some time ago and gained great power, unchecked in his home land. Second, the source of his power appears to have subsided and he is on the hunt for more. Most likely he seeks this power in and around Paragon City where the recent influx of Incarnate power is most tempting. Third and perhaps most chilling of all, his people had named him the "Honey Badger." It is a moniker chosen to reflect his relentless, nearly sociopathic quest for power, with a seeming absence of fear.
Incarnates both hero and villain alike should be wary, for a hunter of Incarnates is at their doorstep.
______
I'll post a screenshot of the costume when I get home from work If it's not clear, BTW, I envisioned the Honey Badger as an Incarnate of the African god Shango, who has taken his power, consumed all there is to find in Africa and has now become a hunter of young and comparatively weak Incarnates.
Here we go. I actually hopped on Test to use the Animal Pack that was being tested there. Here are a couple of action shots as I was playing around:
I'm not sure the lion head is really the best head to use for the concept, but those teeth do seem indicative of "ruthless." I really wish there were more tribal-style themes available, as I would have happily/easily made a costume surrounding the tribal shield.

Great entries so far! Only a couple more days now.
Honey Ryder was a research biologist for Crey industries. She was a tech for one of their senior geneticist. They where working on using gene therapy to introduce the genomic material from different animal species into human subjects to enhance their abilities and create a secret army for Countess Crey. None of the test subjects have survived the gene therapy sadly.
While working late in the lab one night Honey was loading the viral vectors with badger DNA. The ferocious and tenacious badger qualities where highly desired traits in the new soldiers. Honey accidentally stuck herself with a needle containing the viral vectors. She didn't report it for fear of becoming a crey test subject. The changes where slow at first, mood and temper at first but then the physical changes started. She had to go into hiding fearing what the crey would use her for, since she is the only one to have survived the gene therapy. She does whatever is needed to survive now, she calls herself Honey Badger.

The elusive, seductive and cruel Honey Badger was caught in a rare photo shoot while she was trying on clothing at Icon. How she made it past security and into Icon has never been discovered, nor has she been caught at Icon to date.

Last day for entries! I'll close out the contest at midnight EST and begin selecting the winners.
Bit later then I'd hoped, running a bit behind getting ready for PAX. I honestly wish I had more then one Animal Pack to give away, because you guys each did a good job with pictures and write ups.
It was definitely a tough choice, but the winner of the Animal Pack is StormVyxen. I personally liked the first person touch to the writing, the creative concept of tying a badgers to a person who seeks badges. The tipping scale for this entry though was the very vicious and interesting looking costume that used the honey badger colors black with white.
I'll PM everyone else to get your global names, there were only 4 total entries so everyone who entered will get something. Thanks guys! You all made me either laugh, smile or grin reading the write ups and looking over the pictures.
So I managed to win an extra code for the animal pack from the PCGamer contest. I had already purchased my own copy of the animal pack when they let me know I'd won.
So I mulled for a week on how exactly to give away this freebie. I wanted to make the contest fairly open to everyone and fun, and this is what I came up with.
As you may know the PCGamer contest asked users to post a comment detailing an animal that would make the best villain. My winning entry suggested that the fearless Honey Badger would make an epic villain, much like an evil furry version of Chuck Norris.
So dear reader, is what I want you to do to win this code. Simple give me one or more of the following using the Honey Badger.
