I don't store inf as items, prices fluctuate too much for my tastes (and I can see some big fluctuations coming up in the near future), so all my inf is stored as either inf or bids and is therefore liquid
I have one account, which is in Category B, I think I'm somewhere around the 54-56ish Billion mark, but I don't bother adding it all up precisely.
What's worrying is that I don't even see myself as a 'hardcore marketeer', whatever one of those is. Most of my inf has come from selling drops and from selling generic IO's on the market, combined with being too stupid to know when to stop... -

Now I'm old enough to remember the hype and lack of living up to said hype when VR was the next big thing a decade or so ago.
I'm also cynical enough to know that they're unlikely to work for me at all (mildly long sighted right eye, pretty heavily short sighted left eye, not a good combination for this sort of thing)
However, they *do* seem to have gotten the headset/goggles to look rather pretty. And if you've got more money than sense, could even be a decent starting point for a GiTS/Vanguard style helmet, and no need for eyeholes, since from what I can tell, they've got cameras built in too
(the issues with display lag on any 'see though' mode that may or may not be possible with them is another matter, but hey, when did designers ever let motion sickness stop them from doing things they thought were cool?)

Quote:Oh no! I have 4 Reward tokens saved up because I'm maxed out in the shrubbery, what *ever* will I do? <yoinks Fire and Ice for assorted toons who're likely to get costume upgrades>The Fire and Ice costume set is now available through the Paragon Rewards program to our VIP customers. This set is split into three sections: Fire and Ice 1 contains the base pieces of the Fire set, Fire and Ice 2 contains the base pieces for the Ice set, and Fire and Ice 3 contains the various component pieces and weapons. Enjoy!
Quote:A character's fog of war on zone maps will no longer reset after logging in as different characters without quitting the game.
Shame the 'history' of where all my toons have been in various zones since their creation has been lost
Quote:The damage on Maelstrom's teleporting Crane Kick has been reduced by 66%
Quote:Fixed an issue where Sister Psyche was not present for the mission "Find Statesman".
(on the 10th of November 2010, according to my email receipt, so exactly 14 months ago in that case. o_O)
Good set of fixes all told and if you can ignore my natural pessimism/cynicism, then you may notice I seem rather pleased by the whole thing... Assuming nothing else got horribly broken in the process -
Quote:Yep, that was the same patch that cut knockback in half or less, making it far less useful as damage mitigation. Thankfully that seems to have since been fixed. There was a patch on the 10th of November that updated the game to a newer version of PhysX. Guess the ragdolls had an allergic reaction to it.
However, I'm noticing occasional ragdoll spasming at the moment which is making KB pretty long term mitigation, since sometimes a mob will get stuck in a ragdoll spasm without having been defeated, and when that happens to a Lieutenant or Boss, then it's just an excuse to hammer on them until they stop spasming either by unsticking or being arrested (and remember kiddies, 'arrested' just means 'stopped')...

I believe this has been mentioned before, but 'Featured' doesn't mean 'On Sale', it just means 'Hey, look, you may not have seen this on the market before, doesn't it look shiny, don't you want to buy it, eh?'.

Quote:Added a couple that you missed thereArchery, Trick Arrow, Sonic Resonance, Electric Mastery and Sonic Blast (not melee; Issue 5)
(admittedly Electric's an APP and not a full powerset, but still...)
But Guyperfect was talking about new sets since Issue 6, so really for that precise discussion, they should probably be discounted. -
Sometimes I feel like the only person in the game who doesn't loathe cave maps...

Quote:Just had a Mapserver 90% of the way through Maria Jenkins' 'Rescue Statesman from Dominatrix and Marauder' mission. Are the mapserver disconnects still happening after today's patch (December 15)?
I got a forest of red spikes on /netgraph 1 before it happened, and had lag in the previous mission too. I think I was up to something like 150 lost in packets on /netgraph in that mission.
Put in a petition about it just for info's sake, then called it a night, as I didn't feel like pummeling Dominatrix and the associated hordes of Imperial troops to get to the same point again.
Mind you, this was a Mapserver withing a mission, not whilst loading into/out of a mission, so may be an unrelated issue. <shrug> -
Quote:I know this has been asked before, But I can't recall if it's ever been answered clearly.Get bonus game time when you join the ranks of VIPs by purchasing a 6-month or 12-month VIP subscription this holiday season. Snatch this up with Super Speed, as it's only available from November 28, 2011 to December 31, 2011!
- Buy 6 months as a VIP, and get 1 super month free (North America/Europe).
- Buy 12 months as a VIP, and get 2 super months free (North America only).
Is there a (sensible) reason why the EU players don't get the 12+2 month subscription option? -
I don't know if this is the exact font used, but scanning through the Gothic-Modern section of http://www.dafont.com/ got me two that looked close.
Abaddon
and
Drakon
Of the two, Abaddon looks closer to my eye.
(dafont is rather useful, but can be tedious to trawl through if you're looking for something very specific) -
Quote:Not quite. The problem with that mission is that the stated objective isn't really accurate. The real objective to defeat all the static spawn Fir Bolg on the map before 50 of the timed spawned ones get away. You can kill the ones actually trying to escape all day long and never get the mission finished.
If you pick the right one at the right time, you can watch the static spawns start legging it toward the portal. Which is why my favoured tactic on that mission with a team is to leave half the team guarding against the runners, while the other half deals with the static spawns.
Not failed that mission yet, and I've been through it a dozen times at least over the years.
If all you're doing is waiting for the runners, then the mission will feel like it's never going to end, because the waves of runners are so spread out over time, and there are a lot of spawns on that map. However, I have done the mission just through the application of patience and waiting for runners... it took a while. -
Quote:*and Dark Servant until it times out, which is thankfully on a shorter timer than the defender/MM/Corruptor version. All of an Illusionist's pets die with her, except the Phantasm.
Apologies for pedantry, but I enjoy pummeling carnies and I've become possibly far too familiar with their quirks... -
Nowadays, I tend to use /cce <costumeslot> ccmurderofcrows (or the appropriate other cc<name> for other CCE's.
But yes, the bloody huge costume selection window could be massively improved by simply vanishing as soon as you select a new costume with a CCE selected, IMO.
I'll have to try Zombie Man's UI scale trick though, it sounds useful.
And since I use # then k to open my costume slots anyway, reopening it wouldn't be a major hardship either. -

Quote:There's a very thorough thread somewhere in the scrapper forums going over slotting/frankenslotting/optimising Siphon Life.I don't know if this is possible, but I'm trying to slot Siphon Life so that its Acc/Dam/End/Rech/Heal are all red in Mids' (ie, in the highest ED tier).
Gimme a minute and I'll see if I can find it.
<insert 5 minutes of looking here>
Ah, there we go this may help, or at least give you some ideas. -
Quote:A medium Breakfree gives you Mag 15 Confuse Protection, IIRC.You really don't need a specific AT for the final fight either. I find that a medium breakfree takes away the confusion affect.
The Confuse effect in the Avatar of Hamidon's chamber is Mag 20.
The only reason a Breakfree works in that situation is if enough other people on your team are running Tactics, if you already have some confuse protection from your powersets somewhere, or if enough people are hitting Clarions to take up the slack, and there is slack to take up.
Two basic BF's will keep you clear of it though, so a simple variation on the Keyes strategy of 'bring a full tray of greens and restock in the hospital' using BF's instead of greens will work. -
As Roderick says, it's working as intended, but not working as it used to, due to lag/server performance reasons.
The only workaround I can think of is to stand in the university next to a table and use /vault as well as /ah.
The only thing you don't have in that situation is access to your base storage racks.
Personally, I currently stand in First Ward with the portable workbench out, and do my stuff from there, as I don't need much more than a workbench and auction access for my needs, and I don't then need to run around to get back to my current day job location. -
I see why it's needed, the lag over the last couple of days has been impressive.
I know that there are a LOT of moving parts in the server setup for the game.
I KNOW that it's not an easy job to figure out what's broken, then figure out how to fix it.
Yet given all that, I'm still NOT happy that yet again it's EU primetime getting the hammer. Especially since it's eating into the later end of primetime.
Between repeatedly losing playtime this last week to maintenance and being logged out of the damn boards every 3 minutes, my patience is running low.
Well, at least I *can* play the game when it's up, unlike previous posters who can't even log in. -
Rather a helpful guide regarding a few of the more obscure parts of the trial that are tricky to pick up on when you're busy trying not to be squished by the mobs.
The trial's slightly longer than a Keyes in my limited experience of the three I've been on so far.
However.....
<grin>
Acquired tonight (well, last night, technically, since it's now Saturday morning....). Congrats to the team on Union who managed a run with all 5 badges acquired.
Take Clarions... lots of Clarions, and a few Breakfrees, too. There are lots of heavy grade mezzes in there, Stuns, holds and confuses. -
Quote:I've not got enough any market bids to worry about (I sell and don't tend to buy), and I keep my emails empty. Is anyone else feeling the need to pull their stuff down just in case the database gets screwy?
I know nothing really happened when GR went live, but I still get nervous about it.
If I had any significant bids/sales pending, I'd be tempted to yank them off just in case, but I'm going to wait and see this time. -
Since not everyone understands or is willing to play the market, or run AE farms.
The forum population tends to be more knowledgable about how to acquire the resources they want in game. Lots of players who just play the game don't know or particularly care about flipping, marketing, ticket rolls, reward merits, hero merits, Emp/Astral merit conversion, optimal level bands and all the rest of that crap.
(I dabble on the market but don't AE farm, personally. 300M is still a hell of a lot of inf if your perceptions haven't been warped by having multiples of billions available to you, like mine have...) -
The blaster will have little trouble, as if you read the article, you'll see that temporary flight is available to everyone.

Mask or Weakness (Steel Strongmen) and Mask of Vitiation (Dark Ring Mistress) are both NE, not Psi typed. I'm not sure right now about positional types (logged out of the game for the night, so can't check), but I think they're both Ranged/NE.
