Now I'm old enough to remember the hype and lack of living up to said hype when VR was the next big thing a decade or so ago.
I'm also cynical enough to know that they're unlikely to work for me at all (mildly long sighted right eye, pretty heavily short sighted left eye, not a good combination for this sort of thing)
However, they *do* seem to have gotten the headset/goggles to look rather pretty. And if you've got more money than sense, could even be a decent starting point for a GiTS/Vanguard style helmet, and no need for eyeholes, since from what I can tell, they've got cameras built in too
(the issues with display lag on any 'see though' mode that may or may not be possible with them is another matter, but hey, when did designers ever let motion sickness stop them from doing things they thought were cool? )
