Major snows are infrequent enough in Seattle that it's cheaper to shut down the city for a couple of days every decade than to invest in a lot of snow removal equipment.

It's not possible for the devs to make enough content to keep up with the most dedicated players. If you are feeling burnt out, don't blame the devs. It's inevitable that you will get tired of things eventually. There's nothing wrong with it and its no one's fault. Just take a break and come back when you are ready.

I liked the new cape mission and I am not going to quibble about whether they should have spent their time on something else. It's better than the old cape mission, so I'm happy.

It's a real life nickname. I've used it as a forum handle and the like all over the place. I didn't have a Camper character until I finally made a Widow named Blood Camper recently.

There was at least one, a couple months back. Victory isn't a server for raids of any sort for some reason.

Take a break. You can't play the same game forever, and it's not the game's fault you get bored. Most people will eventually get bored of even the best and most wonderful things.
Do something else for awhile and come back when it feels right. -
Never have been able to tolerate playing Masterminds.

Quote:I don't care about any possible thing in Going Rogue but dual pistols. Nothing. They could make the game dispense solid gold bricks through the Dvd slot and I still wouldn't care about anything but dual pistols. However, from a 30 second video I saw, I have decided that the animations for the dual pistols being offered are completely and totally unacceptable in all ways, so I find Going Rogue to be a complete and utter waste of time and I vow to never purchase it, or even look at it funny, because of my disgust over the dual pistol situation. And I will make this decision now, more than 6 months before it's release and before it's possible for me to see anything, because I have all the information I need.Um. so people cant have an opinion on the powersets because it means DOOM?
Powersets are powersets. I dont have a sonic or an archer... WHO CARES?
as i recall sonic and archery came at the same time... dual pistols and demon summoning are coming at the same time.
Doesn't that sound a bit doomy to you? -
This is an excellent example of an early reaction minimal information doom thread.

I love a good doom thread. The fear, the anger, the panic, what more could you want?

Quote:Not to mention that later hero contacts have a much better system. When you are at the right level for Montague's Midnighter arcs or the tutorial at the University, you get a popup message telling you that you have a new contact and Montague or whatever just shows up on your contact list. If Tremblor and the like had this new system, we'd all be satisfied I think.Actually, Temblor's introduction was done after that. The earliest I can think of of contacts auto-introducing themselves is CoV's I6. Brokers do that every time you come into a zone. Temblor came with I7, on the other hand, and should have used that code, but didn't. Instead, we were more or less ordered to go to him, and I don't see why that was. It's a new zone, yes, but it's not going to be new to the new players who actually need to be introduced to it, and... Well, the veterans would know how to find Temblor if he were introduced the old-fashioned way.

I'm a 63+ month vet and I have never:
- Leveled a tank past level 10.
- Leveled a kheld of either sort past level 25.
- Done a villain side Hami raid
I like to do all kinds of stuff and I am usually up for trying anything once, so my list is pretty short. However and list of things I will never do AGAIN would be much longer. -

One thing to note is that the new system of having the Halloween salvage from from the trick or treat baddies rather than the doors is creating a LOT more salvage, so the prices might very well go down and stay down compared to last year.

Quote:It's not all that hard. You just need to know how to work the market. As recommended above, come to the market forum and we'll teach people how to make some money with minimal effort. Before issue 16 and after introduction of IO's, this was not a problem for me. Nowadays however it is.
I started a few new toons. One was lucky in selling a recipe for 20 mil, another helped someone transfering info and got inf for that (not that I would not have helped without that) the last one has no way enough inf to buy SO's at 22.
Simple fact is. salvage/recipe prices dropped to such a low that it is very hard to earn enough to buy SO's let alone IO's. -
Quote:No thank you.All of that, including raising the level cap and adding new top-tier powers to the primary and secondary powersets. I'm not expecting it, and it's not a make-or-break deal, but after years of rolling and leveling characters to 50 within the same old framework, the whole thing's getting a little old.
Edit: After all these years, I still rarely have any idea what people mean when they say "end game content". -
The casual player is mythical, like the unicorn.

Quote:I was under the impression that some people got rich because they were really good at something. Like people who invent things for instance. And other people were poor because they spent too much money or made a mistake or whatever.People get purples the same way they are rich or poor in real life: it's all a matter of chance and random circumstance.
I agree that some people are rich or poor due to chance, but I disagree that it applies to everyone.
I have purples because I am good at making money from the market. I don't farm, and I believe I've had maybe three purple drops since they were available, but I can make enough money to get purples fairly often, and it doesn't seem to be a random process to me. -
My wife's like this too. No nagging, but she has never shown a bit of interest in the game either.

I like crazy negative rep comments. They make me feel special.
