Happy Holidays to you guys, too! -
Death to aggressive jello!
Keeping the blue and green teams on the same side of Hami seems like a good idea. We-of-the-Blue really did have a bear of a time killing our first two targets when we started on the far side from Team Green. -
Here are my results for our last few runs as far as I can remember:
Sunday 12/18
1. Did the league get the 60 thread bonus?
- Yes
2. Did the bomb badge effort succeed?
- Yes
3. Was the Avatar beaten while the seedling was spawned?
- No
4. What AT role were you playing ? Melee, ranged, support, debuff.
- Dual Blade/WP Scrap. Melee damage.
5. What reward did you get?
- Rare
6. About how long did the trial last and how often did you go afk for more than a minute or two?
- About average length, No AFK
*Other details that might be useful: One personal death, Part 1 Bomb squad, "lichen duty" on regen WW, (very) aggressive play-style.
Tuesday 12/20 (or was it Wednesday? I've already spaced on which night we did that one. o_O)
1. Did the league get the 60 thread bonus?
- No
2. Did the bomb badge effort succeed?
- Yes
3. Was the Avatar beaten while the seedling was spawned?
- No
4. What AT role were you playing ? Melee, ranged, support, debuff.
- FF/Ninja Mastermind. Mixed role.
5. What reward did you get?
- Very Rare
6. About how long did the trial last and how often did you go afk for more than a minute or two?
- About average length, No AFK
*Other details that might be useful: No personal deaths, smaller-than-usual league (15 members), "Lichen duty" on regen WW, relatively cautious play-style over-all since it was my first run with Hanano and her guys.
Friday 12/23
1. Did the league get the 60 thread bonus?
- Yes
2. Did the bomb badge effort succeed?
- No
3. Was the Avatar beaten while the seedling was spawned?
- No
4. What AT role were you playing ? Melee, ranged, support, debuff.
- Human/Dwarf bi-form Peacebringer. Mixed role.
5. What reward did you get?
- Rare
6. About how long did the trial last and how often did you go afk for more than a minute or two?
- About average, No AFK
*Other details that might be useful: Two personal deaths, "lichen duty" on regen WW, aggressive melee play-style for most of the trial but switched to more of a heal/support focus for the Avatar fight. -
Quote:Gee... You can read all of our minds about that?I'm pretty sure no bluesiders would lose sleep losing one or two of the zones if it meant getting actual, legit, fun content there.
Every one of us?
Really?
All ribbing aside, I can speak for at least one blue-side player who would hate to lose any of the existing Shard zones, even under those circumstances... Me. I'd like it as much as anyone to have some kind of Shard access for my red-siders, but I'd much rather see the place go co-op (or even new zones added-) than to lose any of the current zones for my hero-side characters. -
Quote:I think one of the issues that's really bothering people is the "what if-", Boss. It's not *just* about this one costume set. It's about what's likely to happen in the future if these packs sell as well as expected. (Or even if they don't-It's one single solitary lone costume set. They are not now selling all costumes through the random method.
)
There's a concern that it won't stop with the Elemental set; that this WON'T be the "one and only" outfit they've gone rando-box with for long. I think that's a valid concern. Games that use this kind of scheme do tend to develop a habit of locking more and more items into it as time goes on. They don't just pop one round of desirable items in there and call it a day. They KEEP putting things in there, sometimes at the expense of releasing items in other, less random ways. -
Quote:I know this is all very subjective, but to me it's much worse than either Broadsword or KinMelee. (Having multiple characters with those two sets, I'm pretty familiar with them at this point-) While neither of those two sets "flow" as well as Dual Blade or Claws in my experience, they're nothing like way Titan moves either. If either of my Broadsworders had stalled and stuttered like Papageno (the TW scrap-) does, they'd have long gone the way of the dodo. One thing I will say is, the animations have a somewhat flow to them, especially if you have momentum...but if you're running Ninja Run or Beast Run while attacking, much of that flow vanishes.
All in all, I think the movements and attack animations are just fine...no better than Kinetic Melee, definitely not worse than Broadsword. If one keeps that in mind, I don't see why people would think the animations are bad or goofy.
So, to each their own, I guess...
It's more interesting when we don't all bring the same sets to a fight, anyway. -
I've used a few for costume pieces, emotes and such... but the bulk of mine have been used to build Salvage bits. My luck getting Rares from random trial-end drops is notoriously bad, no matter what AT I'm playing or how well the league (much less my own toon-) does. Using e-Merits to build my bits has often been the only way to get them.

I *want* to like it... I'm trying to... But I just don't think it's working out. I suspect it's only a matter of time before I give up and delete the TW/WP scrap I made to play around with it.
It has nothing to do with the relative power of the set or the damage numbers it puts out. Those are fine... No. What it really comes down to is not liking the basic "feel" of the set. I don't like the jerky, stop-and-go animations and variable attack speed. I hate having to juggle momentum. The set just doesn't have the kind of fluidity of motion that I prefer in a melee character. It's seems to be a little like spines, katana and ninja blade in that way to me... only much, much worse. -

Getting caught on Every.Single.Object in my path while learning to "drive" my first character. It was a wonder I ever made it out of Outbreak.

Hey! Another human-form PB player!
I have one of those on Exalted, too. (Starlight, who just hit mighty level 24.)
Welcome. -
If you're playing a villain (or a hero character you're willing and able to switch over to the villain side long enough to run one of the Patron arcs-), you can also get a combat pet from the Patron Power Pools.
The type of pet depends on which patron you pick and what AT your character is, they last for five minutes per summon, and the recharge timer on them is pretty long. (15 minutes base, but it can be reduced with the right enhancements, Hasten and such. My favorite Stalker, for instance, *almost* has her Mu Adept's summon wrapped now, so he's there with her the majority of the time-) You can't control them like Mastermind or Incarnate Lore pets, either, but that's a trait they share with both the Vet and the Controller/Dominator/Dark Defender pets. -
Quote:Oh, no.You want something to complain about MM wise, however, then there is a mission for you out there. It has Knives of Artemis on an Arachnos lab map with that room. . Nothing like that room and caltrops with pets.
Not only no, but hell no...
I'd turn that puppy in faster than you could say "My oni is where?" -

Quote:That is absolutely freakin' adorable.
(And somewhere in Grandville, Kestrel and Cardinal are trying desperately not to chuckle every time they catch their boss making goo-goo eyes at the ghost chick. 'Dude definitely has a thing for her.)

Quote:I do.... and while I wouldn't call Praetoria (on Liberty at least-) a terribly busy set of zones, I rarely seem to have it all to myself, so I suspect I'm not alone.3) Praetoria 1-20, who the hells bothers with it anymore now that you can select your starting point as hero or villain for any class without needed to go through Praetoria.
If our devs regret anything they've done in the game, I'd almost be willing to lay a bet on AE being the big one. -
More disappointment than hate, really...
-
Quote:I dunno... I'd think that after Kestrel (and others like her-) have handed Recluse his own helmet, he might be a little more willing to look the other way if some "terrible, tragic and completely unforseeable accident" just happened to befall poor old Arbiter Daos on the way to work one day.Remember, an attack on an Arbiter is considered an attack on Arachnos itself which will lead to the player being tracked down and utterly destroyed! Of course, some of my heroes have beaten up LOTS of arbiters and Arachnos ain't done squat about it. Pansies.
After all, if Daos was careless enough to find himself assassinated in some subtle, yet stylish way he obviously wasn't fit to continue in his current capacity anyway, right? -
I'm with you guys on the "Stay command that WORKS"-thing... But then, I have ninja. We all know how those pajama-wearing weirdos are. <_<
-
I'll bring the ninja.
(Or the zombies... You just can't have a proper gathering of Masterminds without a few barfing zombies...) -
This bug hit Hanano, one of my Masterminds, last night, clearing all of her trays. It even wiped out her macros. Needless to say, I was NOT amused about having to rebuild all that.
I'm not going to touch my other MM until this bug is killed. Preferably quickly. And with fire.
Lots and lots of fire. <_< -
I still want to be able to use *ANY* of my Peacebringers' pets when they're in forms. >_<
(And no, I'm not going to shut up about that until it gets fixed.)
