I was in such shock about the Eradications and Oblierations, and the expected Numina that I did not look closely.

I was kind of excited about this when it was announced in beta, so when I saw it up on the market for a pretty reasonable price it was an instant buy. Kind of funny since I had exactly a spare 160 laying in my account.
I don't really know *why* I like it, being just a vanity pet, but it's oddly appealing for some reason.
Playing around with it some:
It is a toggle like the other vanity pets. The power icon (showing active powers) for some reason double stacks as if there's 2 instances of it running.
It does fly, but only when it would have to jump (even if it's just something short like the Ouroboros steps) or when it's too far away from you, it will zoom over then kind of hover then drop and walk. Or just drop, if you're flying. Also it's -slow-, its standard walk just doesn't get it very far so even just running down a block you'll outpace it pretty handily, especially if it stops to do its lil rawr animation, which it seems to like to do. Didn't try just walking though.
It also doesn't zone with you.
But still, I think I love the useless lil thing <3

Considering I cannot have another pet out in conjunction with my Wisp pet, I really cannot find myself using vanity pets.
I used to on occassion enjoy spawning a clockwork pet to follow a gadget themed character, along with my Shield Drone pet. But now that we can only spawn one pet, I can't find myself giving up the usefulness of my Wisp pet.
So alas, vanity pets remain on the shelf with no use for me. I like them, but not at the expense of not having a Blue Wisp pet out.

The limit of one vanity pet - whilst I can see a certain logic to it - rather spoils the effect for me so I'll be passing on this one too

Then they offer an ingame method of winning the grab bag but again make the odds so ridiculous that barely anyone can win it on top of that throw a 20 hour timer so people can only try to get it once a day.
Then to really piss off the customers they stealth nerf the event by adding a level cap on the event so people have to grind to become eligible to participate in the holiday event.

ok.. the Dog was 500 points but this is only 160?????? Paragon needs to start selling whatever drugs the marketing drones are on- they would make a killing in the recreational pharmacuetical market...

Also, the dog backlash has probably reduced the price of all future vanity pets.

Dunno why the Holiday Pack isn't on sale for the start of the Winter Event. Maybe this will be another Zombie Survival Kit.
WRT "Dog Backlash" -- Players tipped their hands when they saw the wolf in the Halloween Event and went "ZOMG! TAKE MAH MONEEZ NAO!!!" When the Mini Snow Beast was leaked, players went.... "i guess that's nice."
