  1. Oooo...I like the idea of the Tin Mage and Apex awarding an Emp Merit.

Put it on a 20 hour timer, and just make EMP Merit one of the TF choice rewards.

I say 20 hours, because I hate the 24 hour mark. :/ It doesnt allow me to get the reward once a day, it means get the reward every other day.

Because obviously, some poeple still enjoy the list.

I don't do the Crazy 88 thing, but I like to look to see were my SG comes up on the list. It means nothing. Just a fun little. "Whooo! 4 years going and we're this spot"

And if 88's can do it with Influence, so be it, and it's also impressive.

Oh that timer. Yeah. You can only convert Reward Merits + Influence to an Alignment Merit once every 20 hours.

But you never lose the Alignment Merit (as I thought you were saying) unless you change alignment.

I actually like knowing the theme songs, when they use them as what the character is actually about, and not just some favorite song.

"I RP myself as a god" just doesnt seem to go with a song about how easily your broken.

    Awesome to know

Now the quesion is, is Coyote's praetorian double and Praetoria going to be around? And will people even use Praetoria as a starting point with the new tutorial?

The game didn't self destruct when other sets got changes and buffs, and it definetly does not mean every set has to change because one did. If they wanted to justify the set getting this ability all they'd have to say is "EB gets this now because the tech didn't exist when it was created." If they don't, whatever, but don't act like anyone who disagrees with your logic is an idiot.
I didn't say anyone who disagreed with my logic. I'm saying stop comparing DP ability to switch effects with allowing it for EB.

And then the suggestion doesn't even take into the effect that it costs DP a power to do it, but the post then goes on to say, "Hey let's do it at NtG and do it for free"

Maybe instead they could make the suggestion of...allow us to replace Aim with a toggle power that lets me turn off KB.

    Then they lose Aim.

Either way something has got to give cuz stalkers are hurting bad. Right now the only ways I can think of fixing them is to either return the scaling AS we had on test server a few years back and/or make the single target damage so high that it mimics aoe damage, meaning every hit with build up will always 1 shot bosses. Its either do this or go back and put back all the aoes that were gutted from the sets.
I had thought about that once for Stalkers.

The Stalker AT could get something akin to the Claws Powerset, End Discount.

This would make Claws even more End friendly than on Scrappers/Brutes, and over all Stalkers could be the end friendly DPSers.

Still would rather see an increase in damage for DPS purposes or a way to use Assassin Strike mre often without having Placate interrupted so often, to increase their DPS that way.

Well, with the changing of the tutorial. Outbreak could be taken care of and Coyote makes his way to GC to help with that disaster.

So imagine my disdain when I found I was unable to pick the pool. For the life of me I couldn't imagine why it was made that way. Yeah I could accidently double up on travel powers but...

I'd gotten so excited to play a MFing warshade but was so dissappointed by this. I still hadn't figured out why it was like this. Until the post above reminded me that PvP still exists and as such has to be balanced around. Bah...
A work around is just 1) grabbing Nova to use for fly or 2) grabbing Nova and using it the form for fly and missions.

The Virtue Forum is a good place to go for a supergroup that may fit your character.

As for finding RP, have you done the RP bit when teaming with others?

Easier to get it started (doesn't mean it will) if you're on a team doing missions, and not emoting/sayign something as they run by you.

Unless you're counting the areas were people bunch up and try to pack so many into a 2 mile radius.

  15. Well...not counting having multiple titles for 1 character (like Spider-Man having 3 different titles at once)...

Spider-Man is going on 50 years old.

If they go with the route of 100 issues equals 1 year in the characters life (like Ultimate Spider-Man did...and personally, if your going to age a character this is the perfect way to do it)...that equals 600 comics for Spider-Man at 12 comics a year.

So, Spider-Man should only by about 22. We of course can go a little older if we count those times they did 2 issues a month.

Hmmm...if DC is going to go through with this relaunch...maybe they should go with the whole 100 issues equals a year deal.

That said, I don't want to see them get older quickly. First off, 12 comics a year isn't enough time to get a years worth of stories out of the characters.

Multi-verse can be fun. Just don't go overboard on it.

I like the idea of sticking to canon.

    #4 is a great idea.

I can get behind the "don't hype the death if it's not really going to be that way" type of deal. But faking deaths is part of the genre.

So I'd suggest, unless you KNOW your going to keep them dead, then don't hype it as such.

Like if you kill off a major villain. Only hype it to the point of OMG THIS IS ACTUALLY GOING TO HAPPEN FOR SURE, if it's really going to be that way.

If it could be permanent, but you have that "maaaaybe not" type of deal going on...don't give so much hype.

Or hype it in a different fashion. "Spider-Man WILL KILL A VILLAIN" then later Spider-Man can learn he really didn't but goes through all that it entails untill found out

  17. Or instead, you can have people in your globals use the $NAME feature in the global channel, so if you see them on your team, you'll know

  19. I'd rather not see Heroes and Villain SGs.

However, I would be okay with the whole Heroes/Vigilante/Rogue and Villain/Rogue/Vigilante SGs.

Basically allow the Rogues/Vigilantes join any SG. Heroes trying to redeem a Rogue. Villains trying to corrupt a Vigilante.

    Makes sense.

Thanks Brand and everyone else to replied, lots of good ideas here, I think I can drop a ACC since my friend is taking Tactics.

One question however, I know with HS that I get a +Percept bonus, so if my friend is targeting through me and is blind to the target, will they hit because I can see it?
If your friend has Tactics, then he should have +Perception too.

Well, I'd give MoB and RTTC 4 slots on an IO build anyways. 3 for HS.

So while in the SO stage, Id slot them as I said, and slot HS with 3 Defense SOs

Not at all. But the arguement of "Dual Pistols can turn off it's knockback so Energy Blast should beable to turn off it's KB" is a stupid comment.

DP doesn't turn off it's knockback. It has the option to switch it with another, many in fact, secondary effects. That's it's whole thing. Switching secondary effects.

Saying "let me turn off EB's KB" is one thing. Saying "DP can do it so let EB do it" you might as well say "DP can switch it's secondary effects, let me switch the secondary effect of any and all powers"

    If it helps at all...

DB/WP has the no FX option on all toggles.

SS/FA uses the original FA colors

    DP/Sonic uses original Sonic colors.

Sooo, some of us are using the originals or none

I'd be in favor of this option even if it meant dropping the buff numbers as well. I can't stand Ice Shields and I will go out of my way not to get that ugly, annoying, distracting shield.
Oh well, sure, allow Null the Gull to turn off every and all buffs as an option. Stuck relying purely on your own abilities and inspirations. I'd support that suggestion. All or nothing (minus the +SPD one we already have).

Don't try to save up on alignment merits because there is a timer on spending them. Craft the recipe and sell it on the AH for 100 million, or whatever they are going for. There might be other good ones to sell too, but I haven't kept up with the market and I would tell you to look for yourself before I shared my favorite money-maker. LOTGs are just a safe investment.

By the time you get to 50, you should be able to afford a decent build. Until then, I wouldn't even worry about slotting inventions. In fact, I rarely slot inventions on my characters before 47 because I prefer the cheaper level 50 invention prices and the higher enhancement value. A couple exceptions might be the Miracle and Numina's uniques, but Willpower doesn't need those while leveling.

Basic slotting is almost common-sense. Your best powers should be given more slots first. Your attacks need 1-2 accuracy, 1-2 endurance reduction, and 2-3 damage enhancements. Recharge is optional and depends on your attack chain. Your toggles might need 1-2 endurance reductions and 2-3 enhancements for their buff power (heal or defense). A lot of the basic slotting is just getting a feel for how the power performs. Sometimes you feel like it is missing too much, or it consumes too much endurance.
    o.O Timer on spending them?

I'e saved up enough to buy two +3% Defense PvP IOs. What's the timer?
