DB/WP SO slotting guide?
QR and Stamina 3 slots of ENDREC SOs
Attacks - 2 ACC/3 DMG/1 ENDRED or RCH
MoB, HS, RTTC - 3 RESIST or DEF or HEAL and possibly 1 ENDRED
Iron Will - Original Slot ENDRED
SoW - Depends on if you have the slots available. But 2 RESIST and then 2 HEAL if you actually have slots left.
Really shouldn't need Aid Self
HPT - 3 HEAL

At this point billions of inf are not as needed as before, because there are now so many ways to get the good IO w/o buying them. You should come up with a dream build and arrange your second build slot for it. Then you can run one on SOs, and switch to the second when you have IOs you want to slot in it.
Also, I would suggest at lvl 50 using TO inventions instead of the SO. IIRC, they have a better % than SOs at 50. Again, if inf is an issue, run SOs and slot the IOs as you find them.
Bank your orange salvage as you find it also, that can save you inf in the long run also.
As for slotting, that is going to vary depending on what you want out of the build. My DB/WP is slotted for Heal, HP, and Recharge. Others prefer to soft cap for +def. If you are going for just SOs, or TOs because of cost, you are going to be looking at the standard scrapper building for attacks. There I run 2 acc (some run 1 acc here, but I HATE to miss), 3 dmg, 1 rech post lvl 40, change the rech to an end reduction for pre 40.
For WP with IOs, I slot heals or whatever else the power may accept as it's primary power type.
Hope this helps some.
Edit: BrandX and I seem to think a lot alike I am finding as of late.

Come up with a dream build, then slot your build using SOs., replacing them out as you get the IOs.
For instance on my DB/WP I have Nimble Slice 4 slotted. I'd slot it with 1 ACC/3 DMG or 2 ACC/2 DMG SOs untill I got the 4 Kinetic Combat's slotted into them.
And yeah, the most expensive build is easy enough to obtain, if you're just willing to do the content.
Reward Merits, Astral Merits, Emp Merits, Alignment Merits...all this makes getting what used to be impossible builds, possible.

Getting enough INF to put together a build that costs less than 1 billion is easy. Once you get to level 25, start doing tip missions every day. Collect the alignment merits and turn them into a level 25 Luck of the Gambler global recharge bonus recipes as soon as you have two alignment merits. Don't try to save up on alignment merits because there is a timer on spending them. Craft the recipe and sell it on the AH for 100 million, or whatever they are going for. There might be other good ones to sell too, but I haven't kept up with the market and I would tell you to look for yourself before I shared my favorite money-maker. LOTGs are just a safe investment.
By the time you get to 50, you should be able to afford a decent build. Until then, I wouldn't even worry about slotting inventions. In fact, I rarely slot inventions on my characters before 47 because I prefer the cheaper level 50 invention prices and the higher enhancement value. A couple exceptions might be the Miracle and Numina's uniques, but Willpower doesn't need those while leveling.
Basic slotting is almost common-sense. Your best powers should be given more slots first. Your attacks need 1-2 accuracy, 1-2 endurance reduction, and 2-3 damage enhancements. Recharge is optional and depends on your attack chain. Your toggles might need 1-2 endurance reductions and 2-3 enhancements for their buff power (heal or defense). A lot of the basic slotting is just getting a feel for how the power performs. Sometimes you feel like it is missing too much, or it consumes too much endurance.

I'e saved up enough to buy two +3% Defense PvP IOs. What's the timer?

Aid Self is mostly cause I had to take Aid Other for my friends toon (the FF guy) he took the same in return.
Thanks Brand and everyone else to replied, lots of good ideas here, I think I can drop a ACC since my friend is taking Tactics.
One question however, I know with HS that I get a +Percept bonus, so if my friend is targeting through me and is blind to the target, will they hit because I can see it?
Humm, alot of slots for MoB, HS and RTTC but I will have them for sure.

Well, I'd give MoB and RTTC 4 slots on an IO build anyways. 3 for HS.
So while in the SO stage, Id slot them as I said, and slot HS with 3 Defense SOs

I thought there was a 18 or 20 hour timer on making A-merit purchases. Maybe I was thinking of the timer for converting reward merits. I haven't used A-merits in months, so it is hard to remember.

But you never lose the Alignment Merit (as I thought you were saying) unless you change alignment.

I don't want to derail the thread, but isn't there a timer too on Hero Merit Recipe PURCHASES?
Like, only one recipe purchased every 20 hours?
And of course, the other timer on one Reward Merit conversion each 20 hours.
BTW, great idea on using the Alternate Build setting to start slotting the IO's!! When the second build becomes viable, you don't need to respec!
Plus, you can slot the first build differently, as SO's are a whole different deal slot wise.
Good advice.

Hey All,
I'm looking for a leveling build for my DB/WP scrapper, there are plenty of tricked out, 5 billion inf. builds out there, but what about us who are still level 20 and not super rich?
Here is a listing of the build I have now, please ignore when the powers have been taken, it was just to put them all in there.
What do you suggest for SO's? I havn't picked a APP yet and I'm playing regularly with a FF fender so I didn't bother with Tough/Weave but I would prolly make a second build with those slotted when I am soloing.
