Quote:Schism, you are a heck of a lot more charitable than I. My hat's off to you. There is also the slight possibility that you're using over the top exaggerated hyperbole to make yourself look like a massive twit with no sense of perspective, but who would deliberately try to make themselves look like that? No one, that's who. (OTOH, that could be why someone would be blocking your access to the servers most of the time if they're players or GMs who don't like you.)

Also a bit more useful in powers that are guaranteed to kb, as opposed to those that have a chance to do so, since the chance for +rech is dependent on the power actually inflicting kb, even if the target is itself resistant to the kb on its own.

Depending on the final changes to /poison for i21/Freedom, a demon/poison might be nastier than a toxic waste dump. Have already rolled one, but waiting for the balloon to go up before I really get into playing him.

Have never had any issues using petsayall in macros on any of my MMs. Use it on all my demon MMs to give them something to do other than randomly pant, snuffle, growl or bellow. Something QUIET...

The Demon Summoning Recharge Intensive Pet is Hell on Earth. An amusing side note to that power is that, since it's cast on one of your currently living combat pets, it can be cast on ANY currently living combat pets, whether it's from your primary, a Dark Servant, or even (as I have done for my own amusement several times) a combat veteran pet such as Dark Fairy.

Just a few minor tweaks from my viewpoint, based on my own necro/dark:
- Howling Twilight - Not sure why Ragnarok, really... though I imagine the knockdown looks amusing.
- Soulbound Allegiance on the Grave Knights (your main damage dealers), rather than the Lich, who doesn't do enough damage to ever really benefit from the BU proc.
- Oppressive Gloom - I actually have this 6-slotted with Absolute Amazement.
- Howling Twilight - Not sure why Ragnarok, really... though I imagine the knockdown looks amusing.

The problem I've seen with WoC and a similar power (Arctic Air) on ice Doms is that, while I don't have the numbers in front of me, the confuse duration is apparently shorter than the "pulse" rate of the power. In other words (for example) you have a confuse that tries to affect available targets once every two seconds, but the confuse only has a duration of 0.5 second. Or something like that. Again, I don't have the numbers handy. But the net effect is that nearby enemies are confused too infrequently to be useful, and often aren't even confused long enough to launch an attack at an ally; they turn, look at a buddy for a moment, then turn back to you and drill you anyway.
Really pointless, yes?
The Contagious Confusion can turn this into a "real" confuse power because, in the moment that a target is "lolconfused", there's a chance for a confuse to jump to another target, and THAT confuse effect has (I think) an 8 second duration.
That's an awful lot of effort to go to just to make an essentially useless power worth having. -
Also getting ruinous AoE damage and hard/soft cc from plant/thorn/fire. An absolute blast to play.

Quote:Or... after a bit of a conference, everyone involved decided this was the best route to pursue, even if not everyone was 100% behind the idea at the time. Happens all the time in any art design project I've ever been involved in where input was gathered from multiple, even moderately authoritative, sources. I usually refer to it as "design by committee". Rarely a good thing, in my book, but I'm not the "lucky" one tasked with getting a consensus from them.Sure, I could maybe see Posi coming off a bender or something and declaring the other designs great but if I recall correctly, it was stated as a collective 'we' as in 'we fell in love with the new design.' I take that as meaning that a fair majority of development looked at the old new designs and were vocal in their support. If there are that many 'yes men' running around Paragon Studios, I'm slightly worried about future re-designs.
Quote:Also, I was and am posting with my tongue a little in my cheek. Still, it does seem like an awfully quick turnaround on this. Positron's post in the Circle of Warcraft was less than 2 weeks ago. Something may be rotten in Mountain View.
Quote:I'm still going to make that tinfoil hat but I'll use enough to do a proper CoT Death Mage conical cap. How does that sound? -
Quote:I tend to agree, and is probably why I enjoy the new look as much as I do. Used to read Dr Strange a lot, before Marvel stopped printing it in the 90s (Actually it reminds me of the kind of guys who showed up in Doctor Strange comics. Impractically fancy outfits with multiple layers and parts sticking out all over.
). Were I able to remember the names of certain short-term opponents who also had very "organic" outfits, I'd have linked some images.

Quote:I'd find it difficult to believe that anyone prefers the old designs in favor of those presented here... if I didn't accept that other folks have opinions that differ from mine... *raised eyebrow*Also, I find it hard to believe that anyone "fell in love" with the prior design.
Still need that tinfoil?.. -
Could definitely go with slightly more muted colors, especially on the "glowie" bits, but otherwise outstanding. Nice work guys.

Quote:Actually, I have tried this out, and can verify two apparent disappointments with it:So, I ran across a Call of the Sandman: Chance to Heal Self proc the other day, and thought "My Elec/Stone Dom could use that", otherwise I would've sold it. Given that this is a placeable AoE, not a click power like Mesmerize or Mass Hypnosis, would the proc be worth placing in Static Field?
I'm expecting it to be a decent chance for +Heal because of how often it would proc, plus how many targets I might have in the field.
Anyone tried this out, or know if it would work?- It only procs once when the power is cast, not when/if another target runs into it.
- It never procs more than once per cast, no matter how many targets I throw it under.

All I can say is I'm glad I got the facepalm emote...

Frozone, in "The Incredibles"... but yeah, not a whole lot of characters using the concept, not enough to genericize it.

Quote:Oh, I'll agree that it sounds like a "mental thing" to me, too, but faceplanting as a result is never going to feel like "progress".I would say it is a mental thing. With walk their character is able to constantly move toward the goal. It might take roughly the same amount of time to get to the exit, but all of the running back and waiting is cut out which feels like more progress.

Quote:Doesn't always work on my /thermal, who can do something like this, and is next to useless on my /dark, who can only do so by dragging an enemy close enough. The /releasepets command is the only thing (for me) that works EVERY time.Target them with something (anything friendly), but using your AOE Heal is probably best, will reestablish ownership.
That being said, yes, FIX the problem. Too many bugs in this game have become "acceptable" already, due to age. Especially before F2P goes live and MMs become a "premium" AT. There are going to be a LOT of hacked-off people who will not be pleased to learn they've paid extra for a "broken" AT. -
Quote:Well, they were probably digging through a bunch of poorly-marked crates looking for the Ark of the Covenant, and found that silly paperweight, instead...I'm also wondering why SHIELD is acting like they just barely found the Cube in modern day when Stark found it 60+ years ago. Seems like it would have made more sense if they found the Cube along with Cap.
