Mastermind pet emotes
I wish I could help you, because I noticed this happen to me as well tonight. Oddly, any Macro I have where the ONLY entry is a single emote, it works. Any time I try to have a Macro do more than one thing, then they just say <em emotehere>
... granted, the point of having pets SAY things is somewhat lost to me when they can't talk in Local in any way I can manage, only [Pet]. Which made those Eye of the Tiger sing along macros I made ages back (which stopped working at all and since deleted) kinda pointless.
So, still some luck for if all you want the macro to do is a single emote, or a single spoken comment. Not so good if you want different summons to do different emotes with a single macro, or have them use an emote on top of saying something.
A pathetic workaround for my goal, since I only wanted to make each summon type do a different party pack dance, was to make three different Petsay_pow macros, and one for my PC's dance number (at least th. Still annoying though.
In other question news, is there any known list of Emotes that just do not work at all for Summons? I don't mean misaligned like a summoned robot having a laptop off to their side, I blame the fact robots are not shaped like people. I mean, ones that just plain do not happen even if you get the commands right.
Clearly, we need more lasers.
It is my understanding that the Devs broke Pet Macro/Emotes purposely; obstensibly, because some players were annoyed by them and/or the MM's were being annoying with them and the Macro/Emotes were becomming a serious drain on the server(apparently TEXT is too much for them to render). But, more than likely, they ruined Macro/Emotes because RMT'rs were doing something horrific with them. This breakage occurred at the same time the civilians were struck stupid "Nice day isn't it" and the cheerleader at the university stopped saying "Like, Hi!" (which I miss). :/
Recently, the civilians have become helpful and interesting again and my Necro/Dark MM's Zombies will react to my DISCO macro by saying in Local: Let's boogie! and dancing. So, yeah.

So it has occurred to me for probably the past 3 or 4 issues, that the mastermind pet emotes are broken, at least for me. I cant do any emotes at all with any of my mastermind pets other than the first MM I made, who Ive had since before issue 10.

The problem is that the text parser used in the game was changed back then and the Greater and Lesser Than ( <>) symbols get translated to html entities.

Is the issue that emotes don't work or that they don't talk?
I use pet emotes fine on everything but Demons. Demons are limited in what they can do.

If I macro they will...once in a blue moon.
The game cannot make up its mind if it will work or not. Sometimes it works, most of the time it won't.

Odd. I was messing around with this a couple weeks ago and pet emotes in macros worked every time unless I tried something fancy (like having different pets do different emotes in one macro).
I didn't try any binds.

I recently came back to the CoX fold & ran into this. At this point I agree with what's been said in terms of binds and that some macros still work. Is there a slated fix that anyone is aware of? Does that fix have a timetable?
Some of my pet binds & macros were for entertainment, but others were for team/game play. Example having one of my mercenaries perform a recon of a spawn (calling out each one) then making a suggestion.
Have never had any issues using petsayall in macros on any of my MMs. Use it on all my demon MMs to give them something to do other than randomly pant, snuffle, growl or bellow. Something QUIET...

Obviously, I don't care about NCSoft's forum rules, now.
Most of the time I'd use petsay_name for my emotes rather than petsay_all, but that's a personal flavor. I tend to try & give my individual pets more personality this way; I still have a string of macros that introduce each individual member (although I have to re-create the one for my first soldier).
I just tried the FP macro (/macro FP petsay_all < em facepalm >) on my thugs. It worked as long as they weren't holding their guns.

If you set the bind to begin chat and put the petsay all into the chat window and hit 'enter' after your bind key it usually works.

The brawler, uses his fists, so it works on him all the time.
The louies, they usually have their guns out, sometimes they never put the gun away. Or sometimes one puts his away and the other doesn't, it's weird.
I am 95% of the time in bodyguard mode. Maybe that has something to do with it.

None of my pet emote binds work, when I use them the pet actually says <em emote> in a chat bubble and when I type in the emotes manually, nothing happens.
I dont know if Im doing it wrong or what, but I have tried just about every command and combination I can think of, Im not sure if this is a recurring issue with other players or if that game just hates me, can anyone help me out?
