  1. So, how would WP counteract -regen and defense debuffs before alpha slot abilities?

Lets say getting money and Rare IOs dont apply, would would be the best to get the most resistance out of WP?
  2. Yeah, Im leaning more toward WP to, but it seems that it just dosent have enough resistances, I mean, 1 hit from a toxic tarantula or something and my regen is instantly in the negative, then I get ruined. However when I use SoW Im almost invinicble, but I want a build that can use tier 9 only as a last resort.

My Invul is really nice on resistances, but like you guys are saying it lacks the regen, so it cant "stay unbreakable" for long periods of time, I think I just need more S/L Res on my WP, but all my resistance powers are 6 slotted w/ lvl 50 IOs, Im running the 3 "Healing IOs" in health, (Numinas convalesence: regen/recovery, Miracle: recovery, and Regenerative Tissue: regeneration). Im also running tough and weave.

I pull like 180+ hp/sec on my WP, but I feel like hes still too weak. Any tips for getting the most resistances out of WP, before incarnate stuff?
  3. Which offers more unkillability?

I have both an Invul and Wp brute, both 50, both epic. I want to go with WP, but Im not sure WPs regen makes up for the epic resistances of Invul. Currently only my WP brute can go AFK while next to a GM and be fine, yet, large numbers of enemies can kill him, especially arachnos and vanguard.

My Invul brute can take on the world, but cant stand up to GMs as well as my WP brute can, hs also lack good regen and psi protection.

Besides Stone Armor, what secondary is best for making the most epic, most unkillable brute ever conceived?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
  4. So it has occurred to me for probably the past 3 or 4 issues, that the mastermind pet emotes are broken, at least for me. I cant do any emotes at all with any of my mastermind pets other than the first MM I made, who Ive had since before issue 10.

None of my pet emote binds work, when I use them the pet actually says <em emote> in a chat bubble and when I type in the emotes manually, nothing happens.

I dont know if Im doing it wrong or what, but I have tried just about every command and combination I can think of, Im not sure if this is a recurring issue with other players or if that game just hates me, can anyone help me out?

    Thanks in advance.
  5. Well, that cleared things up a bit, guess Ill have to keep using the macros for the time being, but thanks for explaining it.
  6. Is there any way to get pets to actually stay next to you, even while attacking? Im running mercenaries and although they have guns they have this habit of running up to anything they're attacking and punching it.

Im using the "petcom_all stay aggressive" meaning that they will stay put while attacking anything within range, yet they still tend to wonder off. Ive looked at several guides, and have yet to find anything that can give me the degree of control Im looking for. I want my pets to stay by my side while attacking, I want them rooted to the ground like a turret.

I was just wondering if maybe there is some secret keybind of macro that I dont know about that wont let my pets go more than 10 feet from me or something, if anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance.

  8. I think it may have something to do with my shaders, because I can "play" but I cant talk to NPCs or access my costumes.

The game freezes up when I look at anything with the "character background", the red or blue background that is there when your looking at your costumes or talking to an NPC, not to mention, when I try to enable the shaders in the options, it freezes.

Im running an Nvidia 8600m GT on my laptop, my drivers are up to date as well as directX and physX.

I dont really know what to do, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
  9. Im running an Nvidia 8600m GT on a laptop, and yes, I have read the sticky reguarding graphics issues with CoH and tried what it said, I am using up to date drivers as well.

After I log into CoH and go to a server with characters on it, I used to get a crazy screen, almost like TV static but with some green stuff in it. But now the game just freezes up when I try it.

Here is what happens when I go to a server WITHOUT characters.

And here is what happens when I go to a server WITH characters.

I also ran that CoH helper application and got this:

I dont really know what else to do, I have tried reinstalling all my drivers, physx, almost everything. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
  10. Im running an Nvidia 8600m GT with up to date drivers, but when I log into CoH I cant load up any 3D graphics. It only happens when I go into a server that I have toons on.

Here is what happens when I go to a server with no toons.

    And a server with toons.

I dont know what to do, this started happening about a week ago, I posted this originally in the player help forum and people were telling me my graphics card melted, but I took my laptop apart and didnt see anything wrong with it, can anyone help me?
  11. Ok, here is what happens when I go to a server where I dont have characters on.

When I go to a server that I do have characters on or if I go to the character creation screen, this happens.

I think it might just have to do with the settings on my card, but I dont know what to change.
  12. Im running an Nvidia 6800M GT and when I load up City of Heroes, and go a server that I have a character on, the graphics show up all whack, it just looks all green and fuzzy and glitchy, this has only recently begun to happen, about 3 days ago actually.

I have tried downloading the latest drivers for my card, bu when I did the game would freeze up and not load at all. So I had to stick with my old drivers since they were the last ones that would run the game stable.
  13. Ok here are my entries, Ive posted some screenies for fun below these, just to give some people ideas and such.

    OMG xp debt it burns!
AV (Ghost Widow), dead player(...me &lt;.&lt, something blue, brick building, player using a power, plant, something heroic ( it was an 8 man team, we're all dead and shes soloing an AV, lol), someone whos mezzed (do holds count? GW is held good.), long line of people? (there are 4 bodies on the floor, lol), spider web? (I wanna say the leggings shes wearing, but its ur call), wizard? (is GW considered a wizard, according to paragonwiki she is of magical origin), ghost (GW again, ur call)

    Mmmm, hotdogs!
    Hotdog stand, brick building, NPcs using emotes (can pets be considered NPCS?), thats it I guess....&gt;.&gt;

Stranded on one of those floaty things. (what are they called again? O.o)
Small boat (if you wanna call it a boat), Emote (me, drinking coffee...COFFEE!), NPCs using an emote (like above, are pets considered NPCS?), something blue (ocean, sky, etc.)

    Bad Oni, bad!
Protestors, NPCs using emotes, (my pets? O.o, all the other NPCs in Pocket D), player using a power, something blue, stop sign (its in big white letters in a red background, you cant miss it ), villainy (Im beating down a harmless Oni and my pets are cheering me on, lol), brick building (the platforms over by the window are kinda bricklike)

Hes gonna be feeling that one in the morning.
player using a power, plant (trees), brick building, NPCS using emotes, something blue (sky, huge FF thing thats always around when Im playing heroside)

Ok, these pics down below are for fun and helping people get some creative ideas, they are NOT for judging. Im sorry, if I wasnt so tired ATM I would list the contest items you can find in tthese pics, but for now you just get the pics.
