I should've received my 57 month reward, I sent a petition and am awaiting a reply. I just found out my partner hasn't received a vet reward since November last year. She's not too impressed. This problem seems to have possibly started approximately November but not necessarily affecting all accounts. She's only due to get her 36 month reward so it's not like it's affecting only people wiht 60+.
I've also messeged Niviene regarding the situation, to see whether she can get something in motion, as people here have said, their accounts have never lapsed for more than an hour and are 3 months out according to support. -
Quote:Ok, done ...Actually, in ALL computer terms, including HDD, 1GB equals 1024 megs, 1Meg is 1024KB, 1kb is 1024 bytes. Wiki it.
So no, not ALL computer terms does 1GB equal 1024MB.
Gah! Download is sooooo slow .... 30k/s >.< I think I am going to copy it to my main COH dir before it patches so I don't have to re-download it again. -

Quote:The Heart of Light/Darkness is the same badge, just named for heroes/villains respectively. There's a 'Heart of Darkness' Badge, isn't there?
Only it occurs to me that last year I thought of a character who'd really want that badge, but the event was almost over by the time I thought of it, so I didn't have time.
And a year later I still haven't got around to even rolling that character.
So... good to have it back, for that -
Who's psychicly being controlled by Mother Mayhem ...
After reading Emperor Cole's bio, Praetorian Earth sounds grand. All hail Emporer Cole! -
Name: Delusional Illusions
ID: #1032
Global: @BigMoneyHustla
Synopsis: Sister Psyche needs your help regarding a magical disturbance. -
Quote:Well .... actually ... the slide doesn't use the same animation as sprint .... *ducks*That's my point. We don't have any travel powers with multiple animations, be it in a single power or multiple powers. All of the prestige sprints have different visual effects, but use the same animations.
I think some of you guys are making the assumption that because we can have different visual effects for travel powers, and other powers can have both different VFX and different animations, that travel powers could also have different animations...but that's not the case.
Movement modes are not the same as powers.
It's ok BaBs, I like the walk power just the way it is. Those nasty people will eventually accept the power for what it is. -
Plenty of times for myself and teams on Champ has it taken over 10 Eochais. That's the thing about percentage chance, 1 person could have great luck, another person could have absolutely crap luck for many many hours on end. Glad you eventually got him, hope you get something nice with all those merits you earned.
-
Sorry Metalhead, but it has never been MAXIMUM of 9 Eochais before Jack would spawn. It has always been a 10% chance he would spawn, not 1 in 10. That was a question that many many people asked during TESTING of the event, whether it was changed or remained the same, and never got answered. Quite disappointing.

Here's the thing about buttons ... You see a nice big button ... you have no idea what that button does ... EVENTUALLY you will push it, because curiosity will get the better of you.
The movie seems boring, you're told what happens when the button is pushed ... and what will happen if she doesnt push it ... Anyone with a brain would push that button just to keep their family and friends safe. The million bucks is just a bonus. Who the unknown is that dies is really irrelevant, that wouldn't be on my mind when pressing that button. -
Quote:Actually, BABs told us that the attacks for Demon Summoning would be whips some months ago. He specifically called it a "Hellfire Whip".This wasn't a leak, this was flat out given to us at the con. This is true, 100%.
As for the wip emote, it's a matter of being an entirely different thing than the whip attack animations. Similar to how SR had Elude's double backflip for years before a backflip emote was adjusted and inserted for everyone else. He said he'll look into adjusting it so everyone can have it as just an emote. -
After finally getting my sleeping pattern back in order from 2xXP weekend ...
SS/Elec brute from 31 to 40
Shield/Mace tank from 30 to 35
Psi/Mental blaster from 30 to 35
Spine/Regen scrapper from 28 to 33
That's about it. -
The zombie event won't run at the same time as the new event within the same zone though. It will be one zone event or the other running.
-
I understand that, and I am one of them *scratches badge rash*, but I am just saying that the rewards from treats are no longer going to make a permanent change on your characters, as they no longer drop the halloween salvage. The costume temps are cool and all, but they aren't permanent. A 5th costume slot is.
-
Soooooo ... I stayed up until 3:30am to check this event out, to test it. In the end, I ended up going to bed at 5am because I was just getting too tired, and too confused from the event.
The events objectives were definitely not clear enough. There was nothing to tell you, once you entered the zone, what was happening there, and what you were supposed to actually do.
Once the timer had started, which was AFTER someone got close enough to one of the banners, it wasn't clear as to what mobs were required to be defeated. If it was specific mobs, like an EB class, that moved that little blue progress bar, well it needs to be a little more clear. Also, using common enemy types ... what the hell ... I was expecting new enemies ... Cenobyte lookin things ... demonic fiends ... not Red Caps and Shivans ...
I never received any of the badges, because I was solo during the whole event. Why was I solo ? To test the event. The event is not solo friendly, nor is it small team friendly. There just isn't enough time for a small team to defeat the required enemies, defeat the banners, and defeat the Aspect of the Sigil.
The Aspect of the Sigil, again, is a renamed standard GM? Boring. I was going around looking for something I hadn't seen before.
So, as I said, I never received any of the badges while solo. So I never got any of the temp powers that were apparently available aswell.
In all, the event was mildly ok, in that it was new. The new monsters are bland, being standard mobs renamed, and badges not awarding for soloers/small teams, made the event completely meh for me.
Now, the monsters in the event, IF they are just placeholders, just so we still had some surprise for the actual event, cool, otherwise colour me unimpressed with this whole event.
As for Trick or Treating ...
I am so glad that the spirits are correctly spawning now, it shouldn't be too hard to get all the badges for that in about 30-45 minutes. What I don't like is that defeating tricks is the only way to get the halloween salvage. It's rate needs to be greatly increased. By having such a decreased drop rate, it will create a crappy expensive market through WW and BM, where people who have hundreds of salvage (like myself) from previous years will jack up the price and make huge amounts of inf from poor suckers who want a 5th costume slot. This is not a good thing, the 500k/piece as it is seems a little high, that will only go up as supply won't be restocked as high from this years event.
Treats are now pretty much boring. You get a costume temp, or a small insp ... boring. Noone wants those anymore, really, because they don't drop the halloween salvage. All they want are tricks so they can defeat the mobs to get their badges and halloween salvage. The insp needs to be the large type to actually make it a treat.
Lastly, the world GMs for the event. Has Jack's spawn changed from a 10% chance per spawn. If it hasn't, I can't express how much this needs to be changed to 20-25%, OR to put in a streakbreaker, making it a definite 1/10 spawns WILL be Jack. It was so frustrating last year, I think we defeated 50 Eochais before Jack finally spawned.
All my opinions/observations/suggestions. -
Just going to ask a few more questions.
1) Is Jack In Irons still only a 10% chance of spawning in 20+ zones? If it is, CHANGE IT TO 20% OR PUT IN A STREAK BREAKER! (so at least 1 out of every 10 spawns will be Jack)
2) Has the bug that caused the spawn rates of Spirits to be too low when ToTing been fixed (well at least attempted to be fixed) ? -
Quote:So does that mean all halloween spawns (including ToT mobs) use GM code now ?
Are enemy NPCs appearing at the appropriate level? (i.e. a Level 50 should be able to fight side-by-side with a Level 5 character). -
Am I reading that right ? Thursday 8th October to Sunday 11th October ? 4 Days ?

To the OP, kudos to you for doing what you feel was necessary. If you didn't enjoy the toon, good that you deleted it, make something that you might enjoy. You may level another toon up the 'right' way to the 30s and find you don't like it, and do the same. Don't let anyone else tell you you're wrong for doing so.
Personally, I'm a bit OCD, even if I hate a toon, I won't delete one if I feel no connection to it...
Quote:I have to wholeheartedly disagree with this. Having run the 1-25 content hundreds of times, I can't wait to get past it as fast as possible. If you don't enjoy the game from level 1 up, then you're either doing something wrong, or you need to go play another game for a while because you're burnt out.
But that's just one man's opinion.
Quote:I was replying to this:
... which since farming became so popular most likely because it was giving normal drops rates that maybe those who do care won't be using 'abberant behaviour' to get the drops they want.
So farming actually made a positive change and people should be grateful for it.
Farming has actually found a bug, that has affected the entire player base for 7 issues. While it may not have affected everyone equally until recently, some people have always sworn by 'bad luck' that they never got good drops at all, regardless of their play style, when in fact it was a bug causing that bad luck. Thanks to the farmers (myself included), may those people get many Purples in their adventures. -
Quote:Are they official numbers that the devs have previously told us, or just what people have worked out?Salvage
Underling: never
Minion: 8%
Lieutenant/Sniper: 10.64%
Boss/Elite Boss: 25%
Archvillain: either never or 43.22%, depending on the AV
Recipe
Minion 2.666667%
Lieutenant/Sniper 5.333333%
Boss/Elite Boss 7.999999%
Archvillain either 100% or 0%, depending on the AV
And what is the percentage of common/uncommon/rare/very rare for those recipe drops? -
Dear Devs, can we please have some numbers on what the drop rates should be, just so we can actually test how drops are actually acting.
-
I noticed my first run on test once open beta started and bugged it straight away. But I think I got ignored ...
