  1. Ooh nice. I just spent a Billion doing it myself so I will see whats kicking around and come back.
  2. But you don't need the badges personally. Just the SG as a whole has to have them all.
  3. There is also the 'cubicle' that you can use to stack Wall items away from the wall. Not sure if this is in room details or other furniture. It is there somewhere.

Just discovered the stacking from the ceiling thing is called the Hanging Lamp.

  4. This should be pretty easy. I can't remember which lamp it is that you can use to stack downwards but just combine a bunch of those and attach the dome at what ever level you want.

Then just stack upwards to the correct level and plot your TPer on top.

Hope that's clear enough, which it probably isn't. Someone else will be a lon in 3 minutes to tell you what the lamps are called.

    Bashful Banshee.

Edit: OK they are the Hanging Lamps and this in fact does work. Just tried it so have fun.

I think Mr T could play CoH.
  6. Huh, we have Face Sliders. I had no idea. They have been there for a long time haven't they?

A decent in-game tutorial would be nice too. It could have short videos "This is how to float a lamp" followed by short sessions of practicing.

It's been a year now since Sunstorm arrived. Think it is time to stop by and at least say Hi again.

Ummm, pretty sure you haven't run my one arc. #11529 Behind the Painted Smile. It's a story driven arc, not too tough, not too easy. More or less exactly what you are probably looking for while you wait for tommorow. Go.Enjoy.
  9. All useful information. Thank you very much.
  10. Is there a way to colour just one section of a wall in a room?

I currently have 6 different variations of Demon Hunter on Virtue's blue side. 3 of them are in my main RP SG. 1 is in a magic-based alt RP SG. And the last two are in my personal "DH's Apartment" SG.

So DH is both a member of the House of Heroes and has his own personal "fortress of solitude" where nobody can interfere with him.

It took a little while to get what I wanted there, but I now have salvage racks, enhancement tables, an invention table, personal vault, rez rings, and inspiration storage. And there's tons of RP space, as it's actually his home.

In the end, I have both my Justice League satellite and it's coalition AND my fortress of solitude where I can have DH retreat to.

You can have both under the current system if you're willing to put some work in and get creative.
I really like the sound of that.

As you can see, I've got 3 usable floors of space ... with the lowest floor, underneath everything, being a "relax & research" area. The "first" floor of salvage racks (marked with the black and white banners) is for common salvage and is divided up by salvage Tiers (1, 2 and 3). The "upper" floor of salvage racks (marked by orange and yellow banners) is for uncommon and rare salvage ... again divided up by Tiers. This helps keep everything "sorted" so that you know exactly which rack to go to in order to find stuff you're looking for. The arcane Empowerment Station is on the uppermost floor. All the way down on the "ground" floor, near the trees, is the Arcane Transfer rack. This last salvage rack is intended to be kept (relatively) empty so as to facilitate transfers of salvage between characters in the SG.

Note that the trees are very useful for "obscuration" to hide the fact that I've got stairs hanging in the air without adequate supports.

For those who are curious, the Room Lighting is "off" and all light is supplied by local sources ... resulting in an "islands of warmth and comfort" feeling.

    So there you have it.
    A 3 floored Workshop Room.
And I've still got a huge 3x3 set of floor blocks to fill out with yet more decorations.
    That is super nice.
  13. Hi, trying to set the atmosphere in my sacraficail alter room (it's a CoT base taken over by my heroes) and can't quite figure out how to manipulate the lighting. I know I've done it in other rooms but darn if I know how.

Another quick question while I am here. Having the same problems actually with walls and floors too. Is their a guide somewhere?

    Please Help. Bashful Banshee.

Off-topic, but does anyone know the air speed of and unladen swallow?

  15. Well start your own Sg and invite who you will. Design the base as you wish, bright or grim. If the people you want to play wth are in coalition SGs Global friend them, and invite them to bring some alts to your group.
  16. Just so you know you can not drop the first mission of any arc.
  17. I haven't published an arc in a couple of weeks but yeah, sometimes it simply takes a few minutes to show up. Try doing a search by date and make it the most rescent date. I ussually find mine in the first couple.
  18. I'm glad to hear you are enjoying the game. Best Server to play on? Have no idea. Just pick one, join the global channels, and if you aren't finding what you need try another server. Lots to choose from each with their own merits I am sure.

Justice was my first server, for no other reason then it seemed like a good button to push. It's my home now, lots of fun people. I'm looking for a home for my Villians, which I never really play. Possibly a bit of slumming on Freedom but really don't know.

Best of luck to you and have fun. If in about a month or so the game feels like an endless grind looming upon the horizon, take a step back, ignore all the shiny things dropping and don't worry about making your hero all Uber. Run off and foil a bank robbery, maybe stop the Red Caps from their insidious plot in Croatoa, or go arrest some Hellions in Perez Park. In other words, just forget about all the fancies and be a Hero. It's why we all came.

    {Yeah, pretty quickly after starting I saw an endless grind for things appearing. Lasted for a couple of days it seems to me. Took my own advice above, and have been happy ever since. Uber will come in time, think it does for everyone. }

    {Oh yeah. Just so you know. When you do eventually build an Uber hero, because eventually you will, and it sucks don't feel bad. Most of mine do too. Doesn't mean I don't keep trying though.}
  19. Pocket D is a no power zone? I'm sure I have flown around in there from time to time.

  22. Love the Clouded Skylight you have. Would steal it but of no use for my base.
  23. Not sure, might get my Katana/Regen to her 40s. And get my shiny new Dark/AR to the 20s.

Probably spen half my time Editing my Base. Fell one of those spurts coming on.
  24. As far as I know healing yourself does not count. This was the initial reason I made my Fire/Emp, but I quickly fell in love with her so that doesn't matter.

Seems to me when I was starting to actively pursue my SG Healing badges someone pointed out to me that at least 5% of total HP needs to be done before anything is counted towards the badge. If there are any other things you need to know I am sure someone else will come by and let you know.

Oh yeah, healing your pets does count towards the badge.

Have fun and Happy Hunting, Bashful Banshee.
  25. Did anyone else see the guy who had the two spheres above him on either side. Some sort of blade was circling around. Anyone know what power set that was, because it looked so neat.

Thanks as always in advance, Bashful Banshee.
