Lighting Problems

Hi, trying to set the atmosphere in my sacraficail alter room (it's a CoT base taken over by my heroes) and can't quite figure out how to manipulate the lighting. I know I've done it in other rooms but darn if I know how.

Another quick question while I am here. Having the same problems actually with walls and floors too. Is their a guide somewhere?

Please Help. Bashful Banshee.

Yeah, when you click the room, there's a tab in the room description box where you can adjust the lighting. It's in 3 tiers: top of the room, middle of the room, and bototm of the room.

When doing walls, select a wall, and make sure the tab in the bottom area reflects which portion of the wall you want to color (high wall, low wall, etc), and a color slider will appear in one of the tool windows.

Oh, and Crimson demands you play this arc-> Twisted Knives (MA Arc #397769)

Be sure you are in "pick style" mode... the buttons on the bottom bar determine what you will be able to do in the editor.

There should be 2 windows that come up, one for room description & one that adjusts wall height.

  • The room description window has a couple different tabs, one of which is for lighting. Go to that tab for the lighting color palette.
  • The wall height window also has a color palette that actually colors the walls themselves. Note that this gives a different effect than the lighting option.
Have fun tinkering... I tend to spend quite a bit of time with this aspect.

Is there a way to colour just one section of a wall in a room?

Sort of, using the SG banners. Odds are that won't be suitable for what you're looking for but that will be for you to decide.

As Tyrak mentioned, and, or if you can get away with placing items, like wall art, or shelves etc. Banners will need to be worked around a lil bit, with something or placed, to conceal the stands/gaps on the bottoms.
