3 Floored Workshop Room
More power to you. You've done some fine work in the past, and this thread has inspired me to do something similar in an abandoned factory sort of style, with either two or three floors. Can't wait to see what you come up with
so I just decided to make a 3 floored workshop room with all the necessities of two rooms.

If you assume that each level on a safe or accent/floor lamp is 1 foot, then the full size of the room is 48 feet. Desks are 3 feet each. You'll want to be careful when laying out where the floors actually go to make sure that none of the floors are too close together, or the last one is too close to the ceiling, or it'll feel "cramped" - and you have to take into account the height of the desks when laying out what level you're putting the floor tiles at to lay things down on.
I've got a few two and three story rooms in my base on Triumph. I haven't posted pictures, because I'm not done yet, but if you want to come in and have a look, send me a PM and I'll give you a quick tour. I've got one 3-story room that's a little on the cramped side - and one that laid out wonderfully (I learned from the first one).

Thanks Obsidius.
Here are the first screens of my idea. The lighting isnt set yet, but will be a deep blue or purple to enhance the light stairs. The walls were made using the smaller tech storage bins and I used floor lamps to adjust the height for stacking. The lower floor is going to be all salvage storage. I really hope that we can add more then just 30 a bin. I think at one point, salvage bins could house over 999+ units.
The second floor is for inspirations and crafting with IO bins and work tables. The top floor will be empowering stations and creative tech stuff. Maybe I will add lounge chairs with a TV as a hang out spot or something to that effect. Still lots more to do. Hope these arent to big for your screens!

This is really Masterfully built. I find myself VERY envious of your skill.
Good God Man Outstanding!!! i am at a lose for words. Due to all the members of a small sg i am in on Virtue I have a 4 room base with tons of prestage and not very much in it. I often think about building up the base but just dont know where to begin and then I see something like this. Truley amazing
Wow. That is awesome!
What're you using for stairs?

So like many of you, I am bothered by the fact that we have a limit to the number of storage and workshop units we can place in a room. I really dont want to take up plot space and have multiple workshop rooms, so I just decided to make a 3 floored workshop room with all the necessities of two rooms. Like in my previous posts about building a Sewer Layout and Space Station, I want to keep the design simple and tasteful staying with the tech theme throughout.
I will post pictures daily with my progression and ask you guys for criticism as I start building this room. Any ideas or previous work that you have done with workshops would be appreciated! I have been looking through this thread all morning getting some ideas when I was supposed to be on conference calls ohhh well. So far I am going to use stackers light stairs in conjunction with my glass windows for sure. To be posted soon!!!
