On-map compass

Either this is something new or I haven't been paying attention. How do I get rid of that giant useless compass that blocks the entire upper left of the map?

So far I've tried browsing the game options and searching here, but as I'm sure you can imagine all I get are unrelated topics.

It has always been there, but I've never seen it that big before. I agree it's not of much use and I generally ignore it.

Always been there.

I have seen it glitch to that size, usually zoning seems to fix it, and when it has hung round for a while, the next log-in it was always back to the normal size.

Were you recently in Cimerora? Cimerora tends to cause compass enlargement. Logging is the only guaranteed way i know to remove it when it happens.

This.

Cimerora has a custom Compass and for some reason it can glitch when it switches. Then again, I've had it change when I wasn't even in Cimerora.. so I dunno.

As mentioned, zoning or relogging may fix it.

Heh! That's like the disclaimer on a prescription drug ad. "Cimerora may cause compass enlargement. People who have had adverse reactions to GPS or printed MapQuest directions should not take Cimerora. If you experience disorientation, anxiety, or a sudden desire to visit Guildford, tell your doctor immediately."

Thanks guys, that seems to work.

By all means, carry on thread-jacking this into a toke jopic.

Hi, my name is Tealeaf.

I am SO relieved. I thought that I was the only one to experience Painful Compass Enlargement. Just knowing that I'm not going through this alone makes me feel much better.

Thank you, each and every one of you.

I'm Tealeaf, and I approve of this message.

You forgot to mention that it can cause E.D. And no, not Enhancment Diversification. Seems like everything these days cause that.

That was great!

Hmmm.

I could have sworn that turning off "special" would remove the compass, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Was that changed or am I just imagining things?

These claims have not been evaluated by the FDA. If you experience painful swelling or redness, see your doctor immediately. Do not operate heavy machinery while under the influence of re-logging. Do not drive while re-logging until you know how it may affect you. Please consult your physician before embarking on any rigorous zoning or re-logging activities.

Hi all, just thought I'd give an update.

I took your advice and stayed out of Cimerora. For a while, the swelling seemed to die down a bit. The itch was intense but I avoided the urge. I thought the worst was over, so I finally caved and stepped back into Cimerora. But then the enlargement hit me like a lightning bolt, and now it's worse than ever!

Is there anything I can do? Or is it already too late? I'm having a lot of difficulty hiding this from my family now. Do you think we can get a support group going?

Thanks.
