I don't think they actually said we were getting 2. Seems to me it was suggested by a player that we shoulg because of dual builds.

I tend to go with what seems funny to me at the time. My most recent is Bunny From Da Hood.
I haven't actually tried to come up with a more traditional superhero name in a while. I'm so clever when I come up with one but I am so sad when I discover someone was just as clever but earlier. Oh well.
The Thesaurus is a good option though. -

I received 5 in two missions a few months ago. I was happy. There had been a six month dry period before that but that is how random works.

600K for a small SG isn't an impossible gap.
Let's say you have 8 people. That's not what I'd consider a big SG.
Our SGs ran a Manticore TF over the weekend. I was on my newly-switched bots/ff MM. We had 8 people and we weren't looking to stealth it or speed run. I didn't monitor what everyone else started at, but Maker rolled up 15K in that TF. Using that as a baseline, that works out to a rough estimate of 120K Prestige in about two hours.
Do that sort of thing once or twice or week. Just once a week means you're at your 600K goal in 4 or 5 weeks.
When you look at it that way, it's not that tough. -

Not sure what an AES is so I can't help you there.
You can not store recipes in your base. You can craft them and store the enhancements though. -
Does this badge give you anything nice for the base? I'm guessing not but thought I would check anyways.

I tried several times to Respec my Fire/Kin (think it was my Fire/Kin, maybe it was something else) using Free Respecs and a Vet Respec and I repeatedly kept getting the message that it had failed. This was on blueside and I hadn't run any tip missions. I have also heard others say a similar thing so something is not working properly.
If you run paper missions you can get the contact but you will be unable to access the contact until you complete the journey to being a villian.
As a Vigilante you can travel back and forth from RI to Paragon freeely, but any missions you have up will be dropped. You can get the missions back by talking to the contact again. -

For pets, if you were able to slot it into a pet it would have a chance to trigger for each individual pet whenever the power that the pet has that takes the proc triggers/is used. -
