  1. I like them all with only a few complaints/nitpicks/things of personal preference:

I'm not complaining much here, but I'm curious about where the theme for this comes from. Though I know my Samurai katana scrapper would love it since before they were swordsmen, Samurai were archers.
Also, I may or may not wish that one of the control arrows would be swapped out for snap shot for the sake of scrappers being able to get a full attack chain...

Oh no.... no no no no... ANYTHING but Bullet Rain! It's one of the most outrageously dumb things that weighs down the entire dual pistols set! Not only does it rip off WANTED wholesale, it rips off the dumbest part WANTED, and won't even let us use it as they used it in WANTED. (I could not shoot a council guy just behind a thin, steel girder due to line of sight... Wasn't the point of "curving the shot" supposed to just that?)

Seriously, can't we just hail of bullets instead? It's not like it'll help a mastermind much.

  3. I honestly have to say that I like the idea of updates and worry about clutter...

But I am attatched to some of the older pieces. Namely my main katana scrapper uses an issue one face, I keep using that face because it looks like an Adult Japanese male (face 3, and not an adult Chinese male like one of the other options, or a Korean Male).
Then there's the young faces, one of which my blaster uses, also selected because it looks Japanese. (Despite it seeming to have blue-ish green eyes)

My DB brute uses an older face that clearly has brown eyes (Face 13)
  4. Don't like to be the part crasher here, but low art? Could be.
But what about low coding solution?
The examples we have of NPCs in mission maps are generic civilians either running around, walking calmly by, or the special version we got with GR, with the exception of the third, all of these are entirely random spawns.
There's also certain issues like making sure the NPCs can properly interact with things while wandering the base and not ghost through everything like you sometimes see in Peregrine.

Actually, there is a forth version we see in the redside mirror arcs which are appropriate, are not randomly spawned, but they are pretty static beyond the ability of talking to them.

Again, this all boils down to: Low-Art Solution but what about coding?

    - Seal the breech. (Depending on powersets, possibly having a temp power to do so as well. Interesting use of laser beam eyes?)
    - Save the people inside (unconscious) before the tunnel floods. Save them, but the bad guy escapes you.
    - Blow the tunnel breach wider. Kills the bad guy, as well as the innocents, and your contacts - well, you'll have to find what's going on on your own. They're NOT happy with you.

    ... or something like that.
Cool ideas, really. Though maybe if they can't do a real time flooding of a place, simply put in a mission timer.
I also like the idea of getting temp powers/new uses of existing ones to deal with a mission.
Just as long as in this case, it would be auto-hit. Nothing frustrates me more than the fact that I can miss with a fire extinguisher. (The thing already has the worst recharge time and animation time, though I do understand these are probably because there's supposed to be multiple people helping you put out the fires)

Oh, there could be enemies that spawn in flooded tunnels...

You just wouldn't be able to fight back until you surfaced...
  7. You can get out from the BAF WITHOUT using a D porter or dying?!
I thought the point was that once you went in you could only get out through suicide.

    Something like...

    Repel

    Increase Density

    Siphon Power

    Transfusion (Or maybe Speed Boost)

    Transference
it's not a bad idea, the thing is that repel and transference (maybe siphon power too) are the only ones that would, well... Not (quite) be broken on the MM.
Quite a few MM sets include heals, with transfusion and say... Dark. You'd get two of the more powerful AoE heals in the game, and quite a few MM secondaries also provide mez protection, and then there's the fact that increase density is stackable and provides res (one of my strategies on my kin defender is to three stack it to give hard capped resistances to smashing and energy).
Hell, even repel might run into the issue of stacked with other repulsion auras, though not as much of an issue since those tend to be hated and not taken anyway.

Transference works best since minions often have few ways of recovering end on their own, this can indeed end up a problem when they develop decent attack/buff chains, but little means of end recovery outside of pain domination.

Siphon power can also work since it does take some effort to stack for any appreciable duration.
  9. Fun Fact: The first appearance of the popped collar trench coat was actually the Dark Watcher in the Rikti War Zone. (I still can't believe he's supposed to be a dark/regen scrapper...)
  10. On the funny note about the fear of female minions resulting in pimping: it's actually a bit of a moot point for some redside ATs, I've known some players to RP their widow Epic pets as their personal call girls, someone who played a succubus MM. (This was before demon summoning, she was not necromancy or robots, and you should know what succubi do by now.)

Also, I do agree on more diverse options for MM pets. Personally though, I'd like the look of the ninja to be updated a little in light of samurai costume pieces from vet rewards and the martial arts booster, genin to get back a visual change with their first upgrade, and maybe either a change to the Oni's description or give him gale, O2 boost, Tornado, or hurricane just because he's SUPPOSED to be a warrior of "Fire and Wind" I see a lot of fire but no wind.

  11. "I am Andrew Ryan, and I'm here to ask you a question: "Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow?"
"No," says the man in Washington, "It belongs to the poor!"
"No," says the man in the Vatican, "It belongs to God!"
"No," says the man in Moscow, "It belongs to everyone!"
I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something different... I chose the impossible... I chose...
    RAPTURE.
A city where the artist would not fear the censor, where the scientist would not be bound by petty morality, where the great would not be constrained by the small! And with the sweat of your brow, Rapture can become your city as well."

I've always said Rapture would make a perfect City of trial zone, little sister hunts make for morality choices, fending off splicers, big daddies (EBs), and big sisters (AV or GM, lacking the 'G', part), plasmids and guns mean more temp powers, we'd get an underwater zone... Do not deny it...
    you want your drill melee.

The thing is, there technically is no real sleeveless option for trench coats like sleeveless robes or jackets, and I'm fairly certain the devs will refuse to modify/add options to any vet-reward costume pieces.
This, sadly, also means that we will only have leather trench coats, only three types of samurai each samurai armor gear, the boxer's costume set will never see additions, and the sad part is, by adding to these, it could make the wait of getting these costume pieces a bit more worth the wait.
On the otherhand, I'd love to see additions either unlocked or added to the normal game, but it's unlikely.
  13. Personally, in terms of Gastalt ATs, people are looking at it the wrong way.

It shouldn't be about getting blast sets with tank armors, but I say a proper idea for a "merged AT" should be about modifiers.

For example: a Stalker with defender/corruptor control duration modifiers or Controller/dom level buffs, debuffs, and (ally)heals.
Or a Blaster that could use scrapper armor modifiers (which... would amount to basically jack since the scrapper's armor modifier would only mean the blaster gets about an additional 1.5% to resists and defense self buffs) or MM level buffs, debuffs, and (ally)heals.
Or, in damage terms, a scrapper or tank gaining dominator ranged damage mods so that those ranges APP powers they get don't suck quite so bad.

This thought had actually occured to me as a possible suggestion for Incarnate abilities, but I scrapped it mostly because they're already this late into development.
But the point wouldn't be about gaining new powers, but making even more use out of the powers we have.

    Autocannon

    ...
I LOVE IT! Except for the sniper only doing high damage.
I mean, we are dealing with two of the more commonly resisted damage types in the game, fear is not exactly worth the damage trade off of the awesome power this weapon is supposed to possess.

now which do you think the devs would do?
I would say it should very depending on the set, but since a snipe is a pull and/or opener and seldom used in the middle of a fight (hasn't stopped me from doing it, and surprisingly pulling it off, even after being hit mid-cast) even the forth one sounds damn good if the raised damage value could let us one shot an even con Lt.

On the note of EM, I never knew it's former glory, but I do like the present animation for ET, though it could stand to be sped up, I haven't gotten total focus on an EM toon, but I do have it on my /energy blaster, and it feels even worse in animation time. (Not entirely helped by blasters having lower melee damage mods, but it's a bit understandable)
But in the end, I'm fairly in different since as leo pointed out, a tank's job isn't exactly scrapper damage, and on a team, even if I'm hitting a corpse, punch-voke still kicks in and lets me do my job of taking aggro.
But for those who suggest just opening with ET or TF: Are you NUTS?! That's fine for stalkers, but for a brute or tank, you won't be able to milk all that lovely damage from the attack unless you build up a little fury or land a bruising -res debuff first!
  17. depends largely on who I'm playing, but if I'm playing a toon that deals only lethal damage, I LOVE anyone who can lay out -res debuffs.
But in general, I play only with friends, so I don't care if they brought along something horribly gimped, I'll love'em as a teammate all the same.

Thank you for your show of interest. (Was a little disheartening to see it could get about thirty six views and no one could even tell me this was a bad idea)

And that could work, the big question though is still how to try to make for when there's two or more enemies, equally involved in the mission, but the instanced is supposed to belong to only one of the groups.

    NOT entirely true.
Certain names are considered invalid. I learned this when I was trying to name one of my robots Starscream due to his constant failure (Also tried Star Scream) and the error message said it was invalid. (second one didn't work either. Needless to say, Megatron was also void.)

I've looked at the builds for my major characters and don't see too many of them changing in any significant way. Hell, I probably won't even bother respeccing my Bots/Dark MM, just because there's literally no other power I would want to take on him. But my Crab Spider? I abandoned him at 32 because he performed poorly due to a tight and badly put-together build. But getting 3 extra powers will help immensely, even if slotting them will be tough.
I know what you mean, but for almost all of my toons, this will be simple, and my newest Emp defender build was going to have her spec out of stamina anyway since she would be focusing on +rech to get her Recovery aura up fast enough.
for others, they'll be delving into the Leadership pools, maybe medicine pools, (Bet'cha never heard of a scrapper who was KREDIT TO TEAM!), etc. etc.
Mostly the LEadership to get assault, all I'd need to do is dump one slot into, drop two End redux Generic IOs, and BAM!
  23. So, one of the big reasons that I understand why scrappers aren't given Energy Melee is because one of the high end powers: Energy Transfer, is simply too powerful when combined with build up and a scrapper's critical abilities.
But with the release of Kinetic melee (specifically the workings of concentrated strike's crit special), I thought of a possible compromise: Instead of dealing extra damage on Criticals, a critical with Energy Transfer provided something else?

Possible ideas could be things like increasing your regen and/or Recovery rate, instant recharge on Energy Transfer itself (this technically would even still mean you're able to deal double damage, just not all at once), increase Stun duration and/or magnitude of all powers for a short period of time, or a self heal and/or self end boost.
    The possibilities are numerous.

and while I know we already have Kinetic melee now, Kinetic melee does not always fit all concepts, and sometimes, you just gotta punch something instead of hadouken them.

so, thoughts? comments? yays or nays?
  24. So, as I asked earlier, is there an official thread I should go to or should we try to make out own unofficial Tips and Morality mission suggestions thread?

I think she more meant the "level 15 scrapper" part.
Of course, a lot of these things are explained by in-game things.
I mean its referred to as a security/threat level, there are mentions that heroes and villains are categorized into ATs, though actually calling "looking for a team" would seem a bit odd since in theory, heroes and villains would use some kind of network, presumably, or get assigned by someone else.
