  2. The PvPEC has wrapped up the showings and the kiddie rides on the Haunted House on Test. I thought I would let all of you who weren't able to make it in on some of the sights and hiding places of all our villain "ghosts." The event was a tremendous success and I hope those who staffed the HH or toured it had as much fun as I! We may consider "renting" it out for battle royales, so if you have 2 teams (one must be a villain team) and want to go play in it, shoot me a PM.

    The details! The Haunted House cost 55 million prestige and is placed on the Massive Hidden Complex plot. It has approximately 34 rooms, many of them decorative. With a base this size, it was fun to use pieces in sewer and arcane that I could never use on live due to their size.

    Yes, some of the pictures are dark, but hey, it's a Haunted House. I went as black as black could get! And dead ends and loops were the name of the game.

  3. While a part of me likes the idea of a resist after being caged, a part of me also likes #5. Being stunned/killed/held/disoriented the whole time also would suck. Yet with a skilled support character, you can avoid most of those during a match. Why should some AT's powers be totally negated or shrugged off the majority of the time because you are ID'd/CM'd the entire match?

    I don't play at the level you do (so therefore at your level my opinions could be very well invalid), but when I'm up against a player on my troller and layering hold after hold after hold on them and never having it hit frankly to me is infinitely more frustrating then being caged. I'm glad there is a power some ATs can take that is unresisted so that I can get away from the stalker that just ASed my "not killing anybody" /sonic troller in SC.

  7. I use the knockback one all the time. I don't find the salvage cost of any of them to be ridiculous. (although I have only used the first table ones).
  8. Wow super job Mad! That must have taken a ton of work to assemble. I salute you and all the other people who helped you!

    I guess my only suggestion is the separation of "missing graphic effects on defense items" and the field items not working. In my experience, the two go hand in hand. For instance, the pain field does not animate because it's not working. So it just seems strange to separate them out. Just a nit pick I guess.

  9. I'd also like the carnie disco lights and maybe some of those circus decorations.

    And I'd also like the clockwork on a swing from that one TF (Synapse?) where you go into the clockwork factory.
  10. It'd be nice if they scaled down some of the decorations already in the game too! All that arcane and sewer stuff is WAY too big.

    You may! But I did not interpet that as "Posi, you bleep-bleep-bleepity-bleep! Do it NOW!" If he were to hear from many of us begging for action, he might say "Hey, I didn't realize bases were so important to people."

    Again, we interpeted it differently.
  12. Well, I was very polite in my PM. And I have been patient too. I would *hope most people sending PMs to Positron would act the same way.

    But they need to hear us. Things were very clear in Castle's interview that if they don't think it's that important, they put it to the bottom of the To-Do pile. Sure, priorities need to be set but I don't see the harm in letting them know it's important to us.

    As I said, posting in the CoP thread hasn't gotten us anywhere. And if the devs got so angry from an outpouring of opinion from their fans/customers to ban people for speaking their minds, maybe this isn't a game I want to support? I think, Sadako, our opinions of what this is about is totally at different ends of the spectrum. You see this as spamming/strong arm tactics versus my view of "writing your congressman"/asking for change.

    So we can respectfully agree to disagree, I suppose.
  13. Thank you but I would like to make use of the First Amendment. Sure Positron can just do a mass delete of his inbox, but playing the waiting game hasn't gotten the base community anywhere either, now has it? If you keep on doing what you've always done, you will always get the same result. Feel free to keep posting in the unofficial CoP thread. That's gotten things really moving in dev land, now hasn't it?

  16. I think new power sets is a prime feature in keeping people interested in the game. That's what's exciting about leveling a new toon is the next new power you are going to get. So I'd love to see new ones put out! I do not like the khelds on Heroes but I'd love to try a new villain EAT.

    There has been much speculation on the next "new" zone being on the Moon. Seems logical since it was on that poll they gave out and the newsies are always talking about the disturbance on the Moon affecting Faultline.

    I too would love some SG/base love. I am disappointed they didn't have time for it. I am also disappointed that IoPs have seemed to be shelved permenantly.

    But from the little I was on test, this new issue is bound to shake things up and I really enjoyed the parts I did experience whilst I was there! I'm thrilled for all the new content in the War Zone.
  17. I enjoy the invention system and the economy. However, this issue left me a bit flat. Other than the STF, there wasn't anything exciting about it, play-wise. I was promised incentive to run my 50, but so far, griding scanner mishes doesn't do it and replacing HOs with IOs doesn't inspire to respec and spend a buttload of money to do it.

    I also think a lot of the bonuses to IOs aren't all that spectacular. Sure, if you stack them up some work. But adding a 1.25 increase to endurance equals a whopping 1 pt. of the yummy blue stuff. Did I just spend a couple million for one point? (why yes Az, you did) There is also a huge gap between sets everyone seems to want to sets no one cares about. I'd like the bonuses to be better balanced or re-evaluated.

    And the amount of special drops (costumes/powers/etc) was quite disappointing. I understand that more will be introduced but I really don't want wings. Gimme some Succubus boots for my troller or a Behemoth "wrap" for my brute, something a bit more flexible.

    I look forward to 10 and the love promised to SGs and bases.
  18. Hi, I'm Azrhiaz. I am casual PvPer and an avid base raider. I run a mid-size group on Triumph and try to keep them and our coalitions having fun in the game. I've been playing the game for nearly 2 years.

    I am on the Rewards committee with Fury, hatching and graphically creating do-able rewards and ways to earn them. I am also on the event committee with Rift and have been designing banners for the different PvP events this committee has come up with.

    Real life? I do web/graphic design and work in visual effects (2D) on movies. However, I'd much rather be at a heavy metal show or in the kitchen baking cookies.

  21. Oh my lord! If I had the prestiege from all those decorations, I could get my first secure plot!!! Egads Coders! Super job!! It looks great! I especially like how you nested the comic covers in cabinents in the library.
  22. People wll always find something to complain about. And as you've seen, they have no qualms about voicing their complaints loudly and keeping their compliments quiet. I love the game and am grateful for all the work all the folks at Cryptic do to keep it fun.

  24. Some mean ol' dev unplugged the Pain Field (arcane) in the base. It is no longer showing any animation and no longer does damage
