Perhaps they're not real PPD officers but agents of an arch villain disguised as PPD officers. This would provide the AV with two benefits. First of all, it discredits the PPD whose fine officers would never hang around or eat donuts. Secondly, it lures heroes into sweeping the streets when they should be interfering in plans to conquer the world.
So, it's all a plot but I can't think who'd be behind it. -
Just to confirm what others have said, according to Mids MoG gives you 71.3% defence and 71.3 resistance at Lvl 50. That's more protection than a Stone tanker's Granite Armour. It's enough to make you untouchable for 15 seconds. There's no penalty to using it either.

You can adjust the font size independently of the window size as well. Just go into Menu > Options, and a small slider should be staring at you on the window that comes up.
[/ QUOTE ]
The /windowscale tip only makes the font smaller in the recipe window. The menu option changes the font size in all windows so they don't really balance each other.
There's a good item in the Paragon wiki about it. -
[ QUOTE ]
The minimum width was increased.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep. It's really annoying isn't it.
The good news is that you can shrink the whole window with the following command:-
/windowscale recipe 0.8
The last part is a number between 0.0 and 1.0. 0.8 makes the minimum width about the same as it used to be.
The bad news is that this makes the text smaller and harder to read. -
So you're claiming to be a Fire/Fire blaster that shows the sort of restraint and tactical awareness needed to avoid face planting every 3 minutes. Hmm...
Alternatively, you're some other AT suffering from the _delusion_ that you're a FF blaster.
I know which of these explanations seems more likely to me. -
[ QUOTE ]
It does, thank you. But I wasn't aware my inventions went out of effect when exemplared. Does that go for the proc/+ ones only, sets only, or all inventions altogether
[/ QUOTE ]
The wiki has a page about this.
If you're planning to do a lot of Orob missions it might be worth using your second build for this. You can fill it with low level enhancements in order to keep the set bonuses. Alternatively, use lots of purples! -

I've tried forming teams myself but I'm put off by the rude and arrogant people who believe you should send them a begging letter before they gran their permission for you to send them an invite. I mean why?
[/ QUOTE ]
"No blind invites" seems to be the accepted convention in CoX. Whether you like it or not, you'll have a much easier time building teams if you follow this convention.
Just a thought. -
I wonder if this is a power supply problem. Firing up two 8800s puts a big strain on the system. Have you tried physically removing one of the cards?
[ QUOTE ]
I've also given up on SLI altogether and am thinking that one card could do the job better anyway.
[/ QUOTE ]
I reckon that SLI isn't worth the hassle. It's always cheaper, quieter and easier to stick to a single card.
FWIW I'm running two CoX systems with new ATI cards at the moment. One's a 4850 on Vista 64 and the other is a 4650 series on XP. They're both more than fast enough but they do tend to crash about once every couple of hours.
Getting CoX to run on ATI cards is a bit of a pain. Basically, you need to disable FSAA etc in the game and use the driver settings instead. -
Apparently, poor frame rates in CoX can sometimes be caused by the sound system. Try disabling sound completely and check your frame rate. If it pops back up to something reasonable then you've found the problem!
Apparently, another clue that sound is the problem is that changing graphics settings has little effect on frame rate.
I'm summarising other threads here rather than relating personal experience, so take this advice with a pinch of salt. -
My main is a Psy/Mental and the build is pretty similar to this. The main difference is that I took teleport as my travel power.
I found World of Confusion to be completely useless. The main problem is that it's only magnitude 2 so it only really affects minions. I've usually fried them with AoE attacks before they get to me! It is fun to go and stand in a large group of greys and then watch them attack each other though. Maybe it'd be more use to a blapper.
I'd skip Hurdle if I were you as you've already got all the jumping you need from Combat Jumping and Super Jump. Maybe there's a reason for having it that I'm not aware of though.
I'd consider dumping Acrobatics as well. I get my Knockback protection by slotting Kinetic Crash in Psionic Tornado. Hold protection is nice but it's not that vital as you can keep attacking anyway. On the other hand, if you're planning to solo a lot then hold protection is really handy.
Personally, I rather like Scramble Thoughts. It's very handy when soloing or duoing 'cos you can take key mobs out of the fight for 20 seconds or so. It's a surprisingly reliable mez. I never found the 3 second cast time to be a problem.
Subdual is a great power. It does as much damage as Psionic Dart and and immobilizes too! I'd give it the full 6 slots. If you solo or duo then slot for acc/dam and immobilize duration. If you only ever team then just slot it like Psionic Dart.
TK Thrust is a low damage, short range power. I'd skip it. You can always do knockback with Telekinetic Blast instead. On the other hand, I've never actually tried it so maybe I'm missing out. :-)
I hope you have fun with your new blaster! -
Yep. Thanks GMs. Your help is much appreciated.
I love the various ways in which you can say "you missed a mob, you fool" or "that glowie thing over there is the glowie thing you're looking for" without causing offence. :-) -

Ok - I've just made a second build with 6 slotted Super Jump and Combat Jumping, as well as 6 slotted Swift and Super Speed
[/ QUOTE ]
Time to head over to the slopes and listen out for GG breaking the sound barrier. -
[ QUOTE ]
By the way, how were you slotted?
[/ QUOTE ]
Just one run speed in SS. Everything else was empty. -
Does anyone know if there any buffs or temporary powers that mimic CJ?
I found IR just made it horribly twitchy. I just kept falling off. -
I've been trying to get the gold medal on the toboggan event all week. I got the bronze and silver and all the ski medals without much trouble but I couldn't get gold.
In a fit of desperation, I used my second build to get the various powers people recommend and did a bit of experimentation. I thought I'd share the result with you.
Combat jumping + super speed + sprint was easily enough for gold. (48 seconds.) The key one is combat jumping. (You can usually find a kin to give you the speed.) None of my powers were socketed except for SS which had one Lvl 50 run in it.
I was amazed how much difference CJ makes. It took 5 seconds off my time. (From 53s to 48s) It also made both events much easier.
I hope this helps someone. -
As far as I know, it doesn't makes any difference except to your XP. You don't get anything else instead. You do still get your normal drops etc.
The rest of your team should get XP as normal from the mobs you defeat. I don't think they can even tell that you've changed your "earn XP" setting. -
This must be really annoying. I hope you get back online soon.
Reading your description I was struck by this:

"In order to repay your chargeback of the transaction regarding your subscription
[/ QUOTE ]
A chargeback is a refund of a payment that's already been made. It's forced on the vendor (NCSoft) by the credit card company. It's almost always initiated by the customer.
If a chargeback happened then NCSoft would probably think that you deliberately un-subscribed and got a free month of play into the bargain. This might explain why they didn't bother to notify you that your account was banned and why they'd want cash in the bank to re-enable the account.
It sounds like there's been some horrible misunderstanding with PayPal. Did they really demand a chargeback from NCSoft and if so why? If I was you, I'd be asking PayPal what happened with this transaction.
Good luck! -

It's a shame cos I ... can't really use the End/health fill and big insps that come with leveling.
[/ QUOTE ]
I love going on a brief rampage with the level up buffs.
Ding. Chaaaarrrrrge! -
I agree that it's probably not worth annoying people by removing it.
On the other hand, removing references to it in the UI would reduce clutter. It would also save new players the hassle of finding what "base salvage" is only to be told it doesn't matter any more. -
That's interesting. Can you give me a couple of examples of IO's that you have trouble buying?
-
[ QUOTE ]
So far Miniblast will be my last 50, at least in EU, see, for me there's no point on playing if I can't set my builds...
[/ QUOTE ]
At the risk of being obvious...
Have you considered working the market to get the inf you need for your builds? You should be able to make about 10-20 million inf a day for about 1/2 hour's effort once you're set up. -

Anyone having problems with the Firefighter or Fire Chief badges?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep. I've got the same problem on the Firefighter badge. -
I checked the tags on my blaster. All the powers that I have are tagged Psionic and Ranged or AoE. That certainly includes the ones commonly used by enemies.
The only oddity is Telekinetic Blast which does smashing as well as psionic damage.
I couldn't check Will Domination, Mind Probe, Telekinetic Thrust, World of Confusion or Scare as I don't have them!
Does anyone else know if enemy powers have the same tags as hero powers? (For the same power I mean.)
