You *CAN* execute two powers with one push, by utilizing keypress/key release just like I said. I just had the grouping wrong (the toggles need to be separated to function properly). Four files, one press to turn on, one press to turn off. I tried to make it so that toggleoff was one file but it kept hiccuping if I held the button too long - separating those out made the cycle much smoother.

Just to be clear, I have no problem spending extra on what I want. I have most of the boosters because I wanted them. Powersets are 800 PP, according to folks who are at SDCC, but that is a beta price and may be subject to change. That's two months of VIP subscription to get it for free. Or you can pay more and have it sooner. (And keep in mind, buying PP gets you work toward more reward tokens to put into the new veteran rewards system, Paragon Rewards! Every $15 spent on PP grants one reward token!)
Look at it that you're paying $10/month for your account, and $5/month for 400 Paragon Points. (Plus all the other goodies. And there are a lot of them.) Additionally, if you're a Tier 9 VIP, you get an extra 150 PP/month just for being a veteran VIP. Also additionally, you are already accruing PP by having an active subscription, 400PP/mo since July 1, so depending on when Freedom releases, you might be able to purchase one of - or even both of - the powersets outright at launch for free. -
There isn't a way to activate and deactivate BOTH with one button without using bind files.

Time Manipulation is a free to play powerset and it looks gorgeous. To me it seems more like the devs saying that they're doing their best to make sure for-pay powersets look awesome rather than free powersets being the suck. -

You can't use two of the same box (City of Heroes basic and City of Heroes basic don't stack).
You need to use the basic version before a deluxe or combo version (Hero basic THEN Hero Collector's).
You need to use GvE AFTER Hero basic and Villains basic. GvE used before the basic versions will lock out the basic versions. It used to not be this way, but my second account cannot use the Hero basic and Villain basic boxes I have sitting on my desk, I'm guessing because I started it with GvE (because I haven't applied any other retail keys to that account).
The rest of the boxes (or releases, since there's a couple online-only releases (Mac edition, GR upgrade version) - Architect, Mac Edition, Going Rogue) can be used anytime and don't lock anything else out.
The Game Cards (not game time cards....Game Card) can be used at any time, AND can be used multiple times on one account. It's basically a 30 day time card that can also be used to start an account (and comes with a 30-real-days jetpack). -

Yes, please. For a very long time I skipped Revive entirely because it's so useless. I took it recently as my level 50 pick, didn't put any slots in it, slapped a recharge in, and called it good...only because it saves me a hospital run every once in a while on iTrials.

(57/4)+((57/3)/4) = 19 tokens. You'll be at tier 5 with 6/7 leftover tokens for tier 6. The month after Freedom goes live, you'll get another token, completing tier 6 and opening tier 7. The month after that, you'll get another token to place in tier 7. It'll take you 19 months to fully fill up tier 9. Instead of 27 in the current scheme to match.
EDIT: MY MATH IS WRONG IN HERE. Positron's formula as posted does not include the yearly tokens, so add four to that for 23, which takes you higher and reduces the time requirements even further. -

The amount of time I've been a subscriber is enough time under the new system to reach Tier 9.
However, the transfer rate system they have (from the old system to the new) puts me around 1 year away from Tier 9. -

Say there are three new things that I like the look of and am able to get. However, I can only get one. ALL my other points have been auto-applied. I would much rather NOT have the Greek Letters and Vanity pets (Never ever use them) and instead be able to pick the three things I would like.
Now, I may be totally misunderstanding how the system works, which is more than likely given I can't get at the Ustream atm. However, if the above is true, whats the point in having 'Freedom' when all choice gets taken from you (as a vet making picks)
Since you have enough vet tokens to fill out multiple vet tiers, the game will helpfully do this for you. If you have leftover tokens after completely filling a certain tier, not enough tokens to fill up the next tier, the game will not apply those for you; you get to choose the order of unlock within that tier. -

I start with powersets, then costume/concept forms kind of in tandem, with character name hashed out at the end depending on theme and what hasn't been used already. Sometimes the name part starts the costume/concept part over if I come up with a cool name that fits the powersets but kind of destroys the costume/concept part. Or I'll come up with an even better powerset combination that goes with the costume/concept, and I'll have to tweak things around.
On a few occasions, I had a concept first and then matched up from there. But mostly it goes more like this: "Ooh, I bet X and Y would be fun to play together! Let's make a new character!"
The ability to go back and forth within the "pages" of the character creation process was a GODSEND, let me tell you. I can spend anywhere from 2 minutes if everything flows together perfectly to almost an hour flipping back and forth between pages just to create ONE CHARACTER. -

My second account is currently unsubbed and will be coming back as Premium. My boyfriend's account is currently unsubbed (but will be subbed up again before Freedom as we bought him GR that he needs to apply for the 2 slots) but will be dropping to Premium. My main account will probably waffle between subbed and unsubbed, just like it has for the past two years...it just means instead of having no access when unsubbed, I can still come in and talk to ya'll in global channels.

Yeah, I've been playing since 2005 and there has never, ever been a way to target yourself, for healing or anything else. You have to use powers (or inspirations) that target yourself specifically or PBAOE powers.
StarGeek: the level number wasn't added until...Issue 18 or 19? Last year sometime, I'm pretty sure. -
