  1. /traps Poison Trap.

overlapping gas cloud AoEs, with procing damage procs, and no AoE limits (oh, and near perma vomiting) Yes, please.

/traps MM. Taking the scorpion shield, for softcapped defense, or the Mu shield for defense + resistance.

katana or broadsword scrapper, stalkers, or brute. Easily able to get 32.5% defense to melee or lethal.

/FF MM, same story as the /traps.

    /Time users.

/invuln, willpower, Dark armor.. all of which /could/ go for the full 45% defense, but it may be cheaper to aim for 32.5%, and rely on the resistance as a fall back.

There are plenty of cases where you could easily build for 32.5% defense and have the resistance shield, or build for 45% defense, and not have the resistance shield.

    Until you consider DDR.

Without DDR, that 45% defense will be trashed with 1 or 2 defense debuffs, causing cascading failure, and usually death.

The 32.5% defense + resistance will still suffer cascading failure, but the resistance will act like a stopgap preventing all the incoming damage from hitting (due to resisting it) and allowing you to better recover from any cascading failures.
  4. Arch/MM or arch/EM and the maiden farm. Assuming its still available... boost range + rain of arrows = dead warriors very fast.

    Under "Premium In-game customer support":

    Free players: Not available
    Premium players: Not available
    VIP Players: Included.

    Doesn't say anything about "priority"....
That's just in game support. Premium and free accounts should get access to support, via their on file email. Not in game support. And, in the case of email support, VIPs do get priority (i'm sure i read it somewhere..) so in the event of a premium and VIP sending in the same petition, the VIP gets help first.
  6. When the servers got merged (as in the EU and american servers are now 1 server) a lot of the EU players had to change their global, as america players may have had them already.

That could be what hes talking about, in which case it was already explained 'why' and that he would basically have to suck it up.
  7. Another thing to consider, is VIP vs premium. VIP members get priority service.. premium don't. So if you aren't VIP, you can't assuming your going to get assistance for your problem ASAP.

Now, what is your problem, and we may actually be able to help you with it (especially if its something like 'i'm stuck in this map..')
  8. Another thing to consider, is that 10 enhancement boosters, for non t9 VIPs aren't entirely cheap.. so for those of us that can't, or won't pay real money for enhancement boosters will just stick with the usual slotting

Your more then welcome to take the reigns of this Energy Aura, IRL issues keeps coming up on Tuesdays, which make this very hard to make a regular thing.
  10. The thing about regen, is the slotting really depends on the primary. That, the regen shines best with soul mastery, even on a brute, as darkest night is pretty nice, but on a scrapper or stalker, shadowmeld is a second MoG, letting you have less downtime between groups.

basically, if you go the soul mastery route, you want to be able to have enough passive defense via set bonuses, or power pools that when you hit shadowmeld, your above the softcap (say something like 50% defense) so if you are debuffed, shadowmeld, and MoG will basically clear them away every 10 - 30 seconds, allowing you to smash things without having to worry.

So at the high end of durability, resistance-based powersets with a lot of defense investment are (typically) tougher than defense-based powersets unless defense debuffs are involved, in which case the pendulum swings the other way.

Enough enemies have defense debuffs to make this a significant factor, but it's not a dominant factor.
Another thing to consider here, is that fact that even some defense based sets don't have capped DDR. Only 2 power sets can cap DDR, and 1 needs to use a 'exploit' to do it. the ones that can cap are SR and Shield. The other defense sets, like Ice armor, EA, ninjitsu, and even hybrid sets, like invuln, willpower, and stone armor provide anywhere from 17.3%(willpower) to 51.6% (EA) DDR.

Only 4 armor sets provide no form of DDR at all, those being regeneration, dark armor, fire armor, and electric armor. Now, they do have other toys (regeneration has click heals and high passive regen, dark armor has high resistances and the best heal in the game, fire armor has high resistances, very offensive, and a nice heal, and electric armor can be used to sap things and has a good enough heal to cover most holes) and adding defense to them will help out a lot (due to the layered concept) cascading failure is much more likely on those 4 powersets, then the others listed.

Ok, fair enough. If i only have a set amount of time, or i really want to just run trials (it happens) then street sweeping, or marketing is what i'll do, but i would run other things if i could instead of waiting (say, running normal missions, or newspapers, while waiting, then being forced to redo the mission upon entry into the trial, but at least being able to queue)

Or just prevent anyone level 25 or higher from receiving XP. That way they can still run it for the badge, but they won't get anymore XP?

The problem here, is while your a 7+year vet, and currently VIP, the OP isn't. So if/when you have an issue, it'll be taken care of right away, but for all intents and purposes, premium players are 'second class citizens' according to support. You want prime support service, you need to be VIP. Its pretty much that simple.

I really only run the DFB once, maybe twice tops, and its for the temp powers. 20% recovery is amazing at lower levels, so is the damage increase. You already have a built in tothit boost (that lucky streak thing) so the acc bonus is meh, and the defense bonus, unless your a defense based character is pretty lame too.

But, being able to kill things faster, due to higher damage, and being able to use more attacks without running out of endurance, before you can buy SOs from the store, is very nice.

Eh, a lot of the time, i'll only queue up when i have nothing else to do while marketing, or street sweeping. You can still call contacts (i think) which allows you to do the repeatable sweet sweeping missions in RWZ, and a few other places.

It's a shame that we now have AE Babies, and F2P DfB Babies.

IMO, there should be a cap on this, can't run it past level 10. If you are over level 10, unless u never done the trail your out of luck.

They made Ouroboros available at level 14, yet they don't know what it is, because ALL they do is DfB, DfB, followed by a DfB till they hit 50 in DfB.
Yeah, this i don't agree with. Maybe putting a level limit on it, say 25? That way its slightly higher then the temp power limit, but not high enough to use to all the way to 50.

I thought, okay maybe it will take a day or two. Now 4 days later it's apparent what they meant was you get NO support.

People who are premium are still paying you money, people who have subscribed for years have earned your support even if they are now premiums. I understand if you want it to require like tier 3 or 4 paragon rewards. That would be fine. But People at reward level 6+ not getting support is RIDICULOUS.

Similarly, not letting these longtime supporters of your product post anywhere but here is also ridiculous.
The thing is, with the current system, it doesn't matter how much money you've already put into the system, all that matters is if your currently paying into the system.

Are you subscribed right now? No. Then you don't get access to immediate support to problems. Its a perk of being VIP that a lot of people take for granted. And, as its only been 4 days, its not 'forever' so saying you'll never get support is just ridiculous. Keep in mind, there are only so many employees that deal with support, and they put VIPs first.

So, if a VIP puts in a ticket, and you put in a ticket (as a premium player) then the VIP will get picked first. If you put in a ticket, then a VIP puts on in, the VIP still gets service first.

What may be happening isn't that you'll never get service, but that VIPs get service first.

Maybe not any, but I'd go for 'All' That way its less likely to kill actual arcs, and far more likely to burn farm arcs.

It does provide slow resistance, and -regen resistance, so that could be why it roots...

The reason you want to go for rommy instead of the nictus, is due to the fact the nictus has 100% resistance to ALL debuffs. Nothing affects them debuff wise. Only thing that brings them down fast is a kin, spamming fulcum, due to damaging capping everyone.

Rommy on the other hand, has normal AV resistance (85% i think) meaning most things affect him, and tear him up much easier then the nictus. That's why people burn him down quickly. Plus the autohit Nictus dies first when rommy rez'es making every ones life that much easier.

I can't help myself. Something about lol km/regen scrappers falling prey to 4 stacked poison traps and vomitting themselves to death just makes me lol everytime.

I did say it'll be hard to pull off. You'll basically have to trick them into thinking your easy prey, and toe bomb the poison trap before they smash your face in, but if i remember correctly, the debuff lasts something like 30 seconds, even if they leave the cloud, so you can floor their regen for quite awhile using 1 power..

Plus most zone PvPers are idiots, and will see your FFG as an easy target.. not realizing it recharges in like 5 seconds flat.. so when they go after your FFG, you drop a poison trap, get them to trigger it, resummon FFG, and then blast them to piece as they vomit themselves to death.

Just FYI, Electric Control, Kinetic Melee, Dual Pistols, and demon summoning weren't 'free' before.

Also any of the CoV powersets (before the merge) weren't free before.

I also think there were other powersets that we had to pay for in order to get, i just can't remember them off the top of my head, and i'm at work, so i can't exactly look them up.

    Invincible?

Honestly, I'm going to have to say Ice armor/Kinetic Melee.

You can color the Ice armor powers to not hinder your costume too much, and you can softcapped to basically everything with SOs.

Then you have kinetic melee providing -damage, chilling embrace stacking even more -damage, and hoarfrost and hibernate covering any holes in your build.

Its a fun ride to level 50 too, especially once you get EA and burst.

You can go V side for darkest night (and stack even more -damage) if you want, and even pick the -damage, -def interface, plus the void -damage route on your judgement, and any attacks that do manage to break your defense will be doing MUCH less then they normally would.

And yes. I am saying that by removing the "farms" and adding the Booster the devs are now offering their own version of Pay for PL. It may suck but that's what they are doing.

Anyone who uses an XP booster on anything but a farm is pretty much throwing money away because of the amount of time spent traveling between missions.

Only way this not a money grab is IF they disable XP boosters in AE AND nerf the XP on the Live farms.
25% XP boost for 1 hour != 75% reduction in XP per ambush.... just saying.

Even with the 25% Xp booster active, your not going to hit the same XP levels as before the nerf. Its simple math.

the XP boost will negate the first ambush, but the second one will still give 75% XP.. then the 3rd will give 75% xp of the second, etc etc.

The XP booster will not make up for the ambush nerf. Your better off using it on non AE farms, as those aren't hit basically at all by the ambush nerf.

But if you already have those things unlocked via the tier system, then all you'll lose going premium is:

    /time. VIP bonus
Free server transfer every month (debatable on how useful that really is)
400 - 550 free points (again, debatable on how useful they are, but with the fact you get some powersets for free anyways, you can spend those points on other things)
    Exalted server VIP Bonus

Oh, and anything else VIPs may get for free (currently i think VIPs got 1, maybe 2 costume sets for free with i21, plus access to Going Rogue and First ward (even if they didn't buy them before)

Work part time for a theater.
