I think it's long overdue because it's been a request for a very long time. Sure there aren't many comic books with water blasting, but it still fills a thematic hole since we have a lot of the other elements covered already. I don't think people request new powersets because they want to make a clone of an existing superhero, they do it because they have an idea for a character and the powerset they want would fit it really well.

I have been a long time proponent of blasters being inferior to Cor/def

Since the snipe changes aren't on test then they shouldn't be real to you either.

(Willpower I can understand due to low taunt mag, and stalkers because of how much KB lowers the DPS) so I moved it into Icicles.

I rarely see it proc though, to be honest. I ran a farm I used to do and didn't see it trigger.

May need to find a single mob who isn't going to die by leaving Icicles tick and watch my combat log/screen to see if it is actually triggering.
I believe there's currently a bug where the knockdown part of the enhancement isn't working. The knockback conversion works, just not the other part.
  4. I've always considered Black Scorpion's the quickest to get done. Whether it's the easiest depends on the character you're running, it has a few Malta missions but the EB is a pushover (if you can keep him from running all over the map).

I never take hasten if I can't put it on auto and forget about it. /SR, /Shield, /Ninjitsu, or any perma-dom are types of characters where I know right off the bat that I won't take hasten. But that's the same reason I skip build up most of the time too. Powers like that tend to sit on my bar gathering dust because I forget to use them.

Are you 100% sure you haven't done one of the patron arcs already?
  7. I was thinking about making a water/thermal corr. Mostly because I don't have any thermal characters right now. Also because I like the idea of setting my teammates on fire and then splashing water all over the enemies.

Can anyone with experience with it comment? And yes, I know a LOT of pvp builds use it..but I am pretty much only thinking for pve. Not that a pvp persons comments wont help also..

I am poking in Mids, and seeing the rez and mez prot as very skippable. The heal I'd take..even if it is hardly amazing. Does Poison Trap still suck? I know it is faster placing..thats it..

The cone slow..I did not mind that on my MM. Would most likely skip the hold too.

Venom Gas..best to slot that for -to hit and end red?

Last thing..if I do decide to build him for some defence (ranged +scorp) then I could not take power boost too. Is that a 'must have' for poison?
The changes to the debuffs helped since they are AoE debuffs now, even though it's a small AoE. But because of the way the splash works it allows you to partially stack the debuffs if there are multiple targets, which is nice. Under the best conditions with stacking Envenom and Venomous Gas you can get a 63.75% resistance debuff. Add in an Achilles' Heel proc and you have the potential for 83.75% resistance debuff on multiple targets. As I said, that's all under the best conditions, but it shows what's possible.

As far as Antidote goes, it's worth noting that you can stack that with the heal to give someone 30% resistance to toxic damage. Still not super useful, but it could come in handy if you have a spare power pick.

Poison Trap is alright on it's own, still not as good as the one in Traps. But I've had good results putting a Lockdown proc in it since the pseudopet activates 2 separate holds it has a fairly good chance of firing. The cone slow has a chance to hold as well, so there's some stacking opportunities there.

For slotting Venomous Gas, I say slot for endurance, the achilles' heel proc, and then whatever set gives you bonuses you want. Also, I wouldn't say power boost is a must have for poison, but it is nice to have. I'd say it comes down to a matter of playstyle: would you use power boost enough for it to be worth skipping the s/l defense of scorpion shield?

Just tested this and can confirm that it does not work in Singularity.

Yeah, it was just that description and the fact that the hair is the exact same shade of red. As someone pointed out earlier, Infernia would make more sense, but when I checked her hair was a lighter color. But when I did some demo-editing to have all 3 stand next to each other I saw that Scarlet is way taller than either of them, so she probably isn't either.

But then Marauder is way taller than Back Ally Brawler, so maybe tallness is a praetorian thing. Must be the Enriche.

Good point, I hadn't thought of her. Also she was magic based which would seem to fit in with the Black Knights better than Flambeaux's "bio-chemical fire" powers.

  17. So I was doing the Night Ward arcs the other day when I noticed the info for the Black Knight Scarlet:

The mention of a fiery demeanor and the hair color would seem to support it. Do you think it's possible?
  18. Barracuda took a while to get off the ground but once we got started it was a blast!

Next on the List is the Mender Silos Strike Force, followed by an Apex Strike Force. Last time we did Mender Silos it was set to +4x8 and still wasn't much of a challenge, so maybe this time we'll also set it to buff enemies. So if you want to fight Statesman for old times sake meet up in Villain Ouroboros next Sunday, July 8th at 5pm PDT/8pm EDT!

If I'm dying so much that I have the opportunity to buy a million inspirations a minute I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Or if we have a taunter he is doing something wrong.
  20. Yeah, that was good. But it still doesn't top the infamous Peter Graves Monologue from It Conquered the World.

This is why I rolled a second SoA so I could do a huntsman/bane build without the backpack. It was totally worth it though, my huntsman does tons of damage, is softcapped to everything but psi (including positions), and has perma-hasten. And all that was ridiculously easy to achieve.

As far as the OP, I've never had to alter a character's concept after it's been made because I found a funner playstyle. However I have rerolled characters when new powersets come out and fit the concept much better than what I currently have. I have had to jump through some mental hoops in order to play an ice armor character. In fact, I've made and deleted about 10 ice tankers, my current one is up to level 39 which is the longest I've kept one.

This is the teleport bug people keep talking about. Your team was supposed to be teleported back to the warehouse in order to fight the goons. As others have said the workaround is to use self-destruct if you have it or to relog and choose "Rejoin last event" from the LFG menu. If you relog you'll need to select your role again before it will let you back in.

Yeah, the whole northern section of PO is mostly unused. I think the ongoing training arc sends you up there to talk to Dollface once, that's about it. It would be nice to see a new contact that covers the same level range as the Radio that has you go up there.
