Taxis are still an active SG on Infinity. They sponsor events there and run regular badge tours of the PvP zones on Tuesday and TFs of Saturdays.
More info on these can be found in the Infinity forum. Look for posts from Johnny Taxibot. -

1. Why do the servers always go down on Monday AM?
[/ QUOTE ]
Server maintenance after the heavier weekend play - as you said, they have "always" gone down at this time. Nothing new today.
[ QUOTE ]
2. Can Trial Accounts join supergroups?
[/ QUOTE ]
No. -
Also - color changing is coming *before* Going Rogue, as in the next issue (Issue 16).
Going Rogue is *not* Issue 16, per Positron. (Linky). -
[ QUOTE ]
I get what you're proposing, Samson. And your example there is what I was saying - people have to leave the team in the right order to avoid getting penalised.
I've never come across people leaving a team to make the leader mad or to spite people. You're saying this is a common occurrence?
If I did, I dont know if I'd want them to stick around just to get some goodies off me. Wouldn't it be preferable for them to leave anyway and pick up some new members who weren't trying to mess you around?
My bottom line is that anyone on a team I've formed is free to leave without obligation at a moments notice - I don't own anyone else's time in this game.
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree with DrMike - I have never seen people leave a team to make the leader mad or spite people. It just seems very farfetched to tthink that consistently happens to anyone, but I am not in Samson's shoes, so maybe he has had extremely bad luck with team mates.
I have played across all the servers except Freedom and the one and only time I ever felt "betrayed" by team mates was when four members of an ITF (all the same VG and probably on Vent by the general lack of chatter) quite towards the end of the second mission all at th same time, abandoning me and the other hero member of the team. I think once in 4 1/2 years is certainly not enough to try to "Fix" because that's a pretty low percentage of jerkiness.
I'm sorry you are having such trouble with your teams, Samson. To throw the question back to you - What server are *you* playing on? Maybe it's time to change your playstyle or server to find better teams.
OK - Teaming tips - Join your server's badging/teaming channels. Find a good SG. Form you own team (but don't be a dictator about it - people need to leave when people need to leave). Fond a circle of in-game friends. And move off an unfriendly server to start fresh if you have built up that much bad karma.
Badge for teaming - meh, whatever.
Accolade or excessively "vital, desired" stuff for teaming - no way, not needed, and rewards one playstyle over others in an unbalanced way. -
My level 50 Energy/Electric/Electric Blaster has always had a purple & white color scheme - so her blasts will now coordinate with her uniform.
Psi may also end up being purple as well, or I may leave it pink.
White hot fire may be the best for at least one of the fire blasters, but I'm leaving my fire/ice blaster with the traditional colors.
I'm still playing with ideas for my sonic girl.... -

this of course begs the question who are all the heroes on the loading screen?

Umm - Jennifer, Mike, Stan and the other Jennifer. Oh, and the guys from Accounting, I think. Weren't you paying attention earlier? -

See, this is why you read the mission text.
[/ QUOTE ]
Then they need to specify Escape == Timed. Theres no timer. They either need to state it or put the timer up there.
[/ QUOTE ]\
But escape =/= timed. If you never "wake up" the boss, he'll never escape and the mission can be left open indefinitely.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not with the current bug. Many missions where you must prevent the boss from escaping, now the boss will take off as soon as it spawns. Previously it wouldn't start running until it hit a certain % of HP, but it's bugged, and has been for a while. I don't remember when I first noticed the bug, but it was before last issue. I know this because I was surprised that it wasn't fixed in the last issue release.
If you have your NPC dialog turned on in your chat window, you'll usually see the boss say something like "I've got to get out of here!" as soon as it spawns. Mobs spawn when you get withing a certain distance of the area they're in. It's the same distance as the trigger for cutscenes. If you're in windy tunnels or caves the boss might have a ways to run before passing you. If it's more of a straight shot you might see it almost right away.
With each new patch I've been increasingly surprised this has been left unfixed as long as it has.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, it might be a case where they haven't had sufficient detail about the bug reported to help them track it down.
BaBs recently started these threads to get better notifications of graphics & animations bugs. it kinda sounds like they are overwhelmed in bug reports at the moment and may not have good details to help them out (since he also has a suggested format in his threads).
Official: Animation Bugs
Official: Visual Effects Bugs
It doesn't sound like this bug fits either of those threads, but I would hate to have it being overlooked because it hasn't been reported in enough detail. -
[ QUOTE ]
Almost forgot! If you one-shot an enemy, they tend not to stop doing their idle emote (which is bugged in and of itself) and just stand there until they fade out.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is not precisely correct.
If you one-shot an enemy before it aggroes (stalker AS, Blaster Snipes, for example) then the defeated enemy continues whatever emote it was doing until it fades out.
If it becomes "aware" of you before the one-shot happens, but dies before taking any action other than the "becoming aware" then it falls as normal.
As I said, I notice this particularly with Stalker AS and Blaster Snipes because they typically are the situations where you can hit before the enemy becomes aware, but the same thing can happen if, for example, you are running a higher level character thru Perez Park to get the "kill" badges for Skulls, etc. An AoE can also leave the random Skull still standing there doing the emote.
I can't judge whether this happens all the time or just a percentage of the time because I can't always tell when the foe clicks as "aware" of you depending on how "far" away from it I am.
I have not seen it happen on a one-shot kill where it was clear to me that the enemy had become "aware" of me. -
[ QUOTE ]
Also,as I said,to add incentive and initiave to people not wanting the badge,we could do something radical, like when you get the teaming badge,or badges, this could happen
1)You could unlock something that is major, vital, and desired..such as unlocking the option for vehicles for their charachter
2)You could possibly unlock another AT by getting the teaming badge.
..and also, when youa re on a team,we could link all other players to the team leader..In other words,if people quit before the team leader does, the bar that you earn for teamage goes down a bit
Just some ideas
The End : )
[/ QUOTE ]
This is going waaayyyy overboard.
Why do you think teaming is so important that it not only deserves a badge just for teaming, but it also deserves an additional reward well above the level of what other activities in the game get?
I'm really "meh" on a badge just for teaming, but unlocking a new AT for it? Or vehicles - which BTW seem so unlikely to happen that we have literally pounded the idea into the ground.
I would advise against tying the idea for a badge for time spent teaming to unlikely or unsuitable rewards. It needs to either stand or fall on its own merits without the fancy razzle-dazzle of outrageous rewards.
No "major, vital" stuff should be tied to a badge which rewards a particular style of gameplay. -
[ QUOTE ]
you can also do it without being in base edit mode. and im sorry i fogot to let you know how to do that in my previous post.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is correct. If you are either Leader or Superleader - click on the individual bin. There will be a tab titled "Permissions". Click on that and use the little radio buttons to set who can "Put" and who can "Get". They don't hae to be set the same, nor does every bin have to be set the same if you want to reserve a bin or two for your personal use (just don't set anyone else up as Leader). -
[ QUOTE ]
Jennifer, Stan, Mike, and the other Jennifer. The other Jennifer should probably duck...
(I don't know, they're just random character art. Some of them have been recurring, but I don't think they actually have ever been named. Might want to ask over in Manticore's Canon thread.)
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm going to start calling them by these names.
Heck, I may even start a character alled "The Other Jennifer" in honor of this answer.
I always thought that "Topknot Boy" was supposed to be a genie as well, Dispari. -
Per the GMotD in-game - there is a known issue with the awarding of Vet Rewards and some other items such as the Jetpack from GvsE.
[ QUOTE ]
Known Issues: We are investigating the below issues and would like to ask that you get in touch with our Support team either through an ingame /petition or via the Support Center accessible from our website, with your account name, character name and Server. You may have:
*not received earned Veteran Rewards,
*gained access to certain edition bonuses (like the Pocket D Teleporter or Rocket Pack) that were not purchased,
*received more Veteran Rewards than normal,
*Trial Account limitations being enforced on certain characters, with influence/infamy losses occurring through player trades, sales to NPC vendors or Auction House influence/Infamy redemption.
We thank you for your patience and for your cooperation with this matter!

And again
Edited to add Miss Sarah 1 2 3
'Cause there ain't nuthin' more 'Murican than a cowgirl! -
Also, the Dom changes were not originally scheduled to be in I15, so that probably added a bit onto the timetable for Beta testing.

Would this be the thread to post issues with costume parts not layering correctly? Like costumes as displayed in the editor not displaying in-game?
I'm not sure whether this is the right place to report a problem with some of the Chest Detail Armors (Roman, Vanguard) not displaying if layered over some of the Tops for Female characters.
I will edit to add more details if this is the right place for it, but I don't want to waste space & I already /bugged t in game a couple of times. -
Just a quick "head's up" from me as well - we are moving some stuff out of the storage locker to the dump (which closes at noon). I should be back in time to make the TF, but if I'm running too late, I know you can replace me and I can catch it another time.
-
Maybe not.
Try making the hole in the middle where you want it and "Move" the room. You can't delete it, but you do have the option to move it. As always, you need to make sure that nothing blocks the doorways.
Or upgrade the plot and position the entrance room more in the middle, move the other rooms around and then "upgrade" back down to the 8X8 plot. -

They were kicked out and put on global ignore.
I explained in my initial post how it all started and the reasons why nothing was done right off the bat.
So ya, it was a mistake letting it get to that point, and i kick myself in the [censored] for not reporting them. This all happend back in February.. this isnt a recent thing.
Had i known then what I know now it would have been played out a lot differently.
Lessons learned.
[/ QUOTE ]
Good to know. Stuff happens, and what you do in response builds character, etc., etc.
I wasn't trying to bash either of you, BTW. I was just trying to point out that abusers are not RPers, even if they use that format to cover what they are doing. -

[ QUOTE ]
whats upsetting is the way the majority of you seem to think its ok what they did and excuse it and are now trying to make this an issue of being homophobic and intolerant.
[/ QUOTE ]
The majority of us have made it quite clear that we don't think what they did was "okay". We have just been trying to explain that that is not what RPing is about. We have been trying to explain how real RPers play in game and how it makes the game more fun for us. The homophobic comments come from the fact that neither you or your pal seem to be able to accept RP in any form because of what two ERPers did. You're lumping us all together and saying we should move off the servers you button mashing min/maxxers play on. That's not going to happen. Sorry, but I play on all servers. I'm not going to limit my self to one or two just to satisfy two people who don't understand RP at all.
Once again, what the two players in your SG did was wrong, but they are not examples of all or even most RPers. They are examples of ERPers, and bad ones at that.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, they are examples of "abusers", and while I am sorry they took advantage of W_A & Cherry2K, I still have to ask myself why they were allowed to continue their abuse for such a long time that it inspired such strong reactions. I don't want to "blame the victim" - but if it was so egregious, why did W_A & Cherry2K allow it to go on that long and let them get away with manipulating their SG members to that extent?
We have been presented with snippets of bad behavior, including chat that made others uncomfortable due to an overly sexual nature. Petionable. We have also been given snippets of such things as these abusers manipulating others into giving presents and special consideration by reason of being "female". Not petionable, but if it got so bad, definitely a good reason for being kicked. But also something that "takes 2 to tango" in that it won't work unless the other party is willing to give the special consideration.
Frankly, if members of this SG were giving someone special consideration because they were thought to be female - I find that patronizing of those giving the special consideration. As a RL female, I neither expect nor want any special consideration.
They should have been kicked and /petitioned for harassment, plain & simple, if it was behavior that was making others that uncomfortable. And the whole situation has abslutely ZERO to do with RP from that standpoint.
Otherwise, Blackavaar - good capsule synopsis of the "lesson" that was attempted in the thread, albeit unsuccessfully it seems.

none of these would actually make me want to take them. that is what i have primary and secondary powers for. and would you really want to replace 3 slots at 36 and 40 for a power?
[/ QUOTE ]
I think the goal is to provide more diversity. If people want more choices, its better. Less choices means more restrictions.
Just because the powers don't appeal to you...that doesn't mean the powers don't have appeal.
[/ QUOTE ]
True enough - but do they have enough generalized appeal to the playerbase at large to justify development time, especially if it would be at the expense of other things that might have more general appeal?
So far, you haven't gotten much support in this thread, not that the forums are necessarily a good microcosm of the playerbase at large - but that should be taken as an indication of a lack of support for your idea as opposed to some others.
BTW - have you looked to see how this idea has been raised before in Lady_Jade's stickied thread? -
<QR>
Actually, I'm pretty sure have seen suggestions for taking *all* the pool powers into a "tier 5" and beyond.
And those suggestions were directed up to Lady_Jade's Powers Suggestions thread above, so you should probably go look there.
I have to agree with DKyo that setting up as many as you have suggested would be giving up too many other things I could have taken instead. -

I'm actually pretty "meh" about double doorways - sorry, Nights_Eclipse.
Since it seems we only get a very small part of what we want here in Base Construction, it's not even remotely near the top of my list of what I want to see. So if it means I can't have some of the other things we have been listing that we want to get, then it would be fine with me if we never got them back.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well for me it is the #1 thing I want, I could care less about water in bases, I am a die hard base builder and the only thing I seem to be missing is my double doorways.
I have my hero base set up with them but the parts of the base I have added since i13 have no love with double doors.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, I don't reall care about "water" either.
I got most of what I wanted when they turned off raid pathing, but what I really want to see is the ability to edit on the Z-Axis and tons more items & textures added to the editor.
If they add double doorways, I will probably use them in at least one base, same thing if they added water. I'm just not that excited about either.
But I'm also not saying "no way" either, since I know some people realy, really want both of these things. -
<QR>
Has anyone else quickly glanced at this thread title and thought - "Wait, when did we get Dark Blast for Blasters?"
I've wanted it to be proliferated for a while, and the title raises my hopes, only for them to be dashed to the ground yet again. -

Not to new Players of the game. I've seen several members that were "Wowed" by wings, Rocket Boots, etc... ask how to get them.
It would be nice to be able to store some, for such players. Just starting out, they can't afford them. They can hardly afford to stay enhanced without help.
[/ QUOTE ]
New players could easily afford any costume recipe they fancied by level 10 if they would do regular missions instead of powerleveling thru the AE.
Sorry to go off topic like that.
[/ QUOTE ]
Do you have any facts to back this up? A player can barely afford slotting powers let alone spending 100k on costume parts in the early levels. Same amount of kills net about the same amount of XP/inf. let it be Missions, AE, street sweeping. You trade salvage drops for tickets which helps on slotting powers in the AE. No one really uses the market until they get a travel power, unless they are supported by a higher level. So AE toons actually have more influence on hand. Heck, when I rolled a VEAT doing missions, I didn't get my first salvage drop until like level 6. When I was level 10 I had about 6 peices, hardly enough to buy a costume part of choice.
[/ QUOTE ]
What are you talking about - "No one really uses the market until they get a travel power, unless they are supported by a higher level. " Why wouldn't you use the market at any level you get salvage drops? That's why they have WW in Atlas & KR and BM in Mercy and Port Oakes (in fact, the PO market was added due to requests).
My low level alts on my less-populated servers all stand on their own, and they all use the market. They pick missions that will get them good drops (i.e., missions with mobs over level 4, usually Arcane foes) and sell them all at the market. I have taken the Level 10 challenge* a couple of times and ended up with 150-200K Inf* at the least.
If you don't want to use the tools available to you, that's your choice, but don't make over-generalizing statements like "no one without travel powers uses the market" because you are flat wrong.
* Level 10 Challenge - Start a new character. Level the character to level 10 by whatever means floats your boat, keeping Enhancements at least white if not green, purchasing them as needed. Sell all drops at the Market for minimal prices (1-25 Inf). I haven't tried it specifically in MA, but I do have a low level AE character who has turned in tickets and sold the resulting salvage (random commons) at WW. She has over 600K Influence right now at level 10.
[/ QUOTE ]
Just to go by Ad_Astra's challenge I started 2 new characters today 1 hero 1 villain.
Dusk Defender - Level 9 Defender - 917,409 Influence
Lanicae - Level 11 Stalker - 1,587,697 Infamy
[/ QUOTE ]
Veteran and Informed player = Moot.
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree with Forbin, and Ad-Astra that this is easily done. I've got several lvl 50's on two accounts, so I don't follow their procedure with my new toons, I just load a 50 and transfer Infamy.
The discussion was not about Established Players, but Players New to the Game.
I have no doubts that I could create a toon and have 100K+ at lvl 10, without transfering any funds.
New Players however lack that knowledge.
[/ QUOTE ]
So is this Hypothetical New Player in your SG? Or any SG? Or does he/she have access to a Wiki or the forums or the ability to access the Help Channel or ask questions while on a team with cool people who like to answer questions?
Why isn't someone explaining the market thing to him/her?
This thread started out as a discussion of storing Recipes and somehow trailed over into using the market, but I sure as heck didn't take it there. I already gave my opinion that storing recipes doesn't seem to be a big deal under the current storage options, except for Costume Pieces.
But to know even that an SG doesn't have the ability to store Recipes, didn't someone have to clue in this Hypothetical New Player? At the least invite him/her to an SG? Someone could be explaining storage options (whether in the SG base or Vault Reserve or on the Market or even on the character).
In the past, I have tried to take the part of the New Player - back during the discussions about Base Repricing especially. But the issue of Recipe Storage isn't a New Player issue to me. -
You will have better success posting a question in the Mastermind forum.
Also, your question is kinda vague, I'm really not sure what you are loking for....
