That, and for ease-of-coding, it is a Boolean value (0 or 1). No room for a 2, or a 3, etc.
[/ QUOTE ]
Good hypothesis, but I do not think that is the case here.
If it was, then the Patron respec would not stack with the other Freespec. -

though only getting it once seems a bit harsh.
[/ QUOTE ]You can get it again (sort of). In CoV, there are 2 different missions that can give you a second and third jetpack. I believe there's a second jetpack ou can get from a CoH mission as well.
[/ QUOTE ]
That would be the Antigravity Matrix. It's a stand-alone mission (defeat 10 Raiders) from whichever of your contacts gives the Skyraider Secret arc.
That one proved to be a double disappointment once I finally managed to get it.
1: It is just a Raptor Pack with 90 minutes use. I was hoping, judging by the name, that it would put my character in some sort of zero G bubble or some other neat effect.
2: It gets taken away from you after you complete the mission and report in. You you can't flashback to it and use the "Quit Taskforce" option to drop the mission and keep the pack.
There are 2 others you can get as well.
First, there's the 30 day real time one that you can purchase via the PlayNC store. That gets applied to all characters (current and future) until the 30 days runs out.
There is also a 30 day real time one you can get (for a single character) by being given a Holiday Cheer from someone who has theirs left over from a previous Winter Event. That gives a random chance of getting the Holiday Rocket Pack (aka Jingle Jet), or one of several other items. -

Ha! Now I know your account name, stupid! XXXXX pretty unimaginative though, come on.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hopefully, you're being sarcastic. That's obviously not my account name.
[/ QUOTE ]It's actually the password, shhh.
[/ QUOTE ]
Nah, if it was the password, it would have been ************. -

I would like to take this time to thank the devs for their implementation of /em teabag.
[/ QUOTE ]
On teams, I use that after a long, hard battle. Normally, at least one teammate will get and appreciate the double meaning.
Also, back when day jobs were a new thing, and I had all my characters working on Caregiver/Painspecialist, I would log out in front of the hospital elevators doing /em teabag.
Finally got my big payoff when one guy popped out of the elevator, saw me, came up to me, and did a smarmy golfclap.

...also my brother in-law is gay and does drag shows.
[/ QUOTE ]
That explains a lot. He says acts out here because his brother-in-law would beat the crap out of him for doing at at home... while wearing a dress.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wait, his brother-in-law is gay?
So is his sister married to an openly gay man, or is his brother gay as well?
[/ QUOTE ]
If he's married then his wife's brother could be gay?
-Rachel-
[/ QUOTE ]
That would imply that he's of marriage age, which I strongly doubt.

I think this song will clear up any questions we have.

I never scream RIGGED! I usually shout "Recount!" -

I think they nerfed the xp on the vamps from the capsules, but they still count toward the badge.
[/ QUOTE ]
The Vamps that pop out do indeed give no rewards The capsules give 10x what a standard Vamp minion gives though. Not really pertinent information for this thread since it's just about getting vamps, not xp, but I figured it should be mentioned for the sake of completeness.
[/ QUOTE ]
They may not give XP rewards, but they do give drops at least. -
Well, to quote Buck Murdock (Airplane II): "Irony can be very ironic."

One other point where you can no longer go it alone is that point where you find yourself actually getting bored with soloing, and feel the urge to unhide from searches.
-
[ QUOTE ]
So, you have to be trained to the minimum level to get the power, but can be any level above that minimum to get the power.
[/ QUOTE ]
Another caveat to keep in mind somewhat along these lines is the Weapons Raid side mission.
If you start the mission at -2 to your combat level, you will get the side mission temp power awarded. However, if you manage to ding before finishing the side mission, it suddenly becomes -3 (where the minions now con grey instead of green), then all you get is the time bonus and no temp power. -

[ QUOTE ]
Not true at all. Any mission can be solo'ed on Heroic.
[/ QUOTE ]
There's a few missions that require multiple glowies clicked simultaneously, but the contacts should give fair warning on those.
[/ QUOTE ]
Of course, getting fair warning on those is moot when the contact won't give you any other missions until after you do that forced optional teaming mission. (and yes, I have had this happen before. Contact would not let me begin his story arc until after I had done the click multiple glowies mission.) -
Was your MM an equal opportunity employer? If so, she should have also had a henchman named Major Wang.

And this brings up another question.
What is it with those Pariah fellows? Who was it at Icon who decided to be a smartarse and convince them that wicker is the height of fashion? -
You can't go wrong with a pair of Fire/Dark Corruptors. Two of those turns Orenbega into Murderworld.
-
Congratulations! You just won the award for Worst Analogy Ever!!!
/em presents ArcticFahx with a trophy that looks like BadAnalogyGuy from Slashdot (whatever he looks like). Inscription on the plaque reads: Minding one's own business when it comes to violent and potentially life threatening activity is to minding one's own business when it comes to potential trademark violations in an MMO as pomegranites are to drywall screws."
-
Outlook not good. Use Thunderbird or Evolution instead.

My WP/DB tank has +14 points of knockback protection, thanks to Indomitable Will and the Steadfast Protection IO.
I've noticed that sometimes it ticks up to +18 for some reason, but only for an instant.
I've pondered putting in more KB protection, but so far 14 points seems like it's enough. I really wish there were similar IOs for Disorient, Hold, Sleep, and Fear protection.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm curious as to why you wasted a slot for a Steadfast IO on your WP tank when you own in-set mez resist toggle reduces the magnitude of KB to 0 before it ever affects you (in-set KB protection has a KB resistance of 10,000%). The only things that could knock you back are things that use unresisted knockback, such as the Rikti bombs from invasion events.
[/ QUOTE ]
I was wondering the same thing. Then I thought perhaps it was for exemping purposes. Then I further realized that with WP as a primary, IW is taken at 6, and I can't imagine anyone willingly exemping down that low. Sure, the Oro intro has you exemp down to 1 for the Outbreak mission, but that doesn't really count here.
If that SF went into Combat Jumping or Hover, that default slot would be better used with a Winter's Gift: Slow/-Recharge resist instead. -
[ QUOTE ]
You should be okay.
My soldiers are named for two movies I like and are really just military code names and since the character himself has nothing to do with either movie it's obviously not a TM violation.
Soldier names: Dead Meat, Washout and Doc J
Spec Ops names: Sneaky Weasel and 8 Ball
[/ QUOTE ]
I thought the code name for the operation at the end of Hot Shots was SLeepy Weasel, not Sneaky Weasel. -
[ QUOTE ]
I have 12 pts on my tanks that don't have KB protection from their powers.
I have 8 points on the non tanks that spend their life in melee and don't have KB protection in their powers.
I have 4 points or 0 (depending on the slots I have on the toon) on the rest of my toons.
[/ QUOTE ]
According to my records, the one character in my stable planned out with the highest amount of KB protection is Stellar Jay, my Plants/Energy Dominator of all people.
His plan shows ultimately 19 points of KB protection. 4 of those were intentional (the one Karma in Combat Jumping). The rest is just incidental due to his quest for perma or near-perma Dom. That is 5 complete sets of Kinetic Crash. Takes a full set of 6 to get the 7.5% global recharge bonus, and the first 4 slotted gives 3 points of KB protection. -

EDIT: What are the odds that it's yet another Marvel employee scoping out the game...
[/ QUOTE ]
I feel that is highly unlikely that they would engage in such shenannigans a second time. Additionally, I also believe that there is little likelyhood of another lawsuit since:
1: Enough people do take the higher-ups' request to report trademark violations as a command from on high instead of just a polite request, and will report anything that even has the most tenuous connection to anything that might have ever seen print since the dawn of comic books.
2: Marvel is not currently developing their own superhero MMO and doubtfully have plans to try it again. So they have no cause to try to preemptively shutdown their competition.
3: If DC were to get it in their heads to try to litigate away their competition, they most likely would not sue over trademarks. That's been done and failed. They would most likely take another route and sue over some truly ridiculous aspect of imaginary property law: specifically, software patents. -

The unarmored Valkyrie Wings (come with the Mac Pack, that you can use even if you're on a PC) might also work, but would be gotten at a cost.
[/ QUOTE ]
That is the best solution to the OP's request.
Specifically, purchase the Mac edition for $20 (not just the item pack, but the actual Mac edition).
Apply the code and get a month of play time free ($15 that you would have been spending anyway)
As a result, get the Valkyrie wings and other in game items for the paltry sum of $5. -
Okay, I can't imagine anyone being obsessed enough for this, but what happens if someone manages to have all 36 slots on all servers unlocked and then their next veteran anniversary comes around?
Would they still be awarded the free slot even though there would be no way to redeem it? Perhaps a good idea if that were to happen would be to credit the account the purchase value of the slot instead of awarding the slot. -
