Clues that your MA AV is too tough

1. 6 players pounding on it only manage to get it to 75% health after 15 minutes.

2. You point out that this AV is based on your level 50 tank on another server.

3. You feel compelled to say, "I'm almost certain my own tank isn't this powerful...."

4. You say, "At 25% health!" and someone else replies, "Good, she'll be dead in only another half hour!"

5. After perhaps a half-hour fight, she kills the 33 stone/granite armor tank (fairly well enhanced with level 35 IO's, I'd say) and then suddenly hits Unstoppable (I think it was) and is back up to full health again....

I mean, I built an MA mission with my level 50 scrapper Mouse Police in it, and I had fun going Mouse Police vs. Mouse Police. But I didn't publish it or recruit a team to help me take myself down.

And this is the basic definition of a "Mary Sue" Arc.

With the damage modifiers and available powers for the Custom NPCs, they're going to hit harder and withstand more than, well, Statesman at the end of Hero's Hero.

Heck, I'm wary of putting even EB's into my arcs. Some of the AV's I've seen are ludicrous. Fought an Inv/SS AV, and after about 15 minutes we realized Unstoppable wasn't going to drop, because he hadn't used it yet. Talk about depressing.

They ALL float down here. When you're down here with us, you'll float too!

Why.... WHY.... do you people keep giving me lead in lines like this?

::sighs::

Okay, fine... Clues that your MA AV is too tough...

1) In order to generate them in the AE simulator it knocks out half the power grid in Paragon City.

2) Statesman tried out your arc and hasn't been heard from since.

3) A new enemy group starts as a cult worshipping your AV as a god.

4) Nemesis issues a press statement saying he had nothing to to do with it.

5) Before running the arc you are forced to sign a waiver, a disclaimer and provide proof that you have an active and updated will.

6) There is a sign at the portal to enter your arc that says "you must be this high to ride this ride" but instead of a height line it gives a blood-alcohol percentage.

7) Lord Recluse gives it his personal stamp of approval for heroes.

8) People start referring to it as "The Blue Steel Task Force" because only Blue Steel could run it.

9) The AE staff members all do the "panicked office worker/club goers run and scream" emotes when someone selects that mission.

10) Just for entering the mission door you get 1000 "sympathy" tickets.

11) There is a wall box in the room with the AV that reads "In case of emergency break glass." It contains kryptonite.

12) You summon your Shivan to help out; it takes one look and dives back into the shard.

13) After running the mission the Surviving Eight are never allowed to call themselves that again.

14) The city hospitals are forced to accept AE Corps overflow ports.

15) The developers attempt to delete the story arc because of player complaints. There is a myserious fire and numerous injuries. Two weeks later they send out a statement saying that "Issue XX will introduce exciting new content including a player-made AV who will now officially be made canon."

My mind wanders so often you've probably seen its picture on milk cartons. - Me... the first person version of the third person Steelclaw

...Lord Recluse revokes your AV's villain license.

...Lord Nemesis revokes your AV's hero license. Some things were just not meant to be a Nemesis plot.

Your Arcitect Archvillain is too tough when...

... Blue Steel needs a team to defeat it.

... When you select the mission, your character starts crying.

... When other Archvillains are kicking puppies, yours is kicking Warwolves. With similar PR results.

... It can only be fought if your difficulty is set to the new, sixth tier ("Friggin' Ridiculous") which was made just for your Archvillain.

... The game starts giving Hamidon Origin Enhancements to anyone who can defeat your Archvillain.

...you're given your third debt badge immediately upon selecting the mission. You didn't have any debt badges at all before.

... Blue Steel: Um, yeah...hey, SG calling, laters all.
Statesman: Sorry, cat needs walking.
Synapse: We have Vengeance, right?

... The mission text reads "Imagine if you called him Charlie and made fun of his beard."

... The text reads "Imagine if you called him Baldy and said something disparaging about people who are into D&D."

This made me LOL.

1) Talking to the contact brings you to half-health.

2) Your in-mission allies run to the exit.

3) The AV starts pounding you with your own health bar.

4) Your allies attack you whenever you try to go ahead.
