Absolutely true. KB's problem is that it requires some judgment and finesse to use, which is too much for some people to want to bother with. Then they go out and bad-mouth KB to whoever will listen or kick people off teams for using it, which results in new players thinking that KB is pointless or "teh suxx0rz"...those new players then grow up into KB-hating veterans, who pass the hate onto the next generation of new players...

The secret of leveling is to make a character you like to play, and then play it. Let the levels take care of themselves. The game is the journey, not the destination.

Sometimes enemies get streaky, just like we do. But I seem to recall something in the patch notes about giving the combat buff pets some AoE defense so they wouldn't insta-die in the first salvo of every fight...anyone?
In any event, they're free hit points and I love them. They'll keep at least one attack off you, and if you Force Field them, they can usually soak five or six attacks before popping like a soap bubble. -
You can read all about "supersidekicking" here.

You can't select more than one target at a time (nor would you want to; it would paralyze everything but PBAoE attacks). Use the targeting binds described above to single out your favorite targets, and in combat, see how everyone's doing by mousing over them - their health bar will pop up without you having to tab over to them.

Good luck. And change your password.

This sounds like Enhancement Diversification starting one enhancement early, which probably wouldn't further diversify anything, unless the dropoff from 2 to 3 was fairly steep. Am I missing something?

LFMA stand for Lowbie Friendly Mission Arc, and LBMA stands for LowBie friendly Mission Arc. LBMA was the tag originally proposed in the tag thread, but LFMA is more commonly used in MA. If you have room, throw them both into your description so you can get visitors from both camps.

A lot of people on the Posi TF get burned by this. Hopefully not the leader...
-
Ok, so should non-blatant farms rate 1.1 stars?

Enemies don't scale up (minion to LT, LT to boss, etc.), no. They'll occur up to maximum level of the enemy type (within the mission's range)...if you have need of that enemy outside of that range, you can always create your own custom versions yourself; those will always be available.

A few things:
1) Brutes do taunt their targets, yes, but only what they hit. Gauntlet affects the target and up to four other targets nearby, making it a much more useful aggro-management tool.
2) Masterminds are closer to tanks than brutes are.
3) A tank that has aggro effectively provides a 100% defense bonus to his teammates, in that no one is attacking them at all. The only dangers come from exceeding the aggro cap (working as intended), stripping aggro off the tank (also working as intended), or getting caught in an AoE. As far as the AoEs go, there's no reason that the Fireball you're caught in should spare you because the enemy that threw it is really, REALLY upset with the tank standing next to you. So the cost of that 10% defense boost is to stand in all the AoEs targeting the tank (albeit at a 10% reduction in likelihood that they would hit you)...or, you could stay outside of the 20' radius, and get that 100% defense.
Seems unnecessary to me. -
You might also search for [LBMA] and [LFMA] tags, which are community-adopted designations for lowbie-friendly arcs. I've written two myself, designed for levels 1-10 as a change of pace from running your initial contacts.

Can't say I've seen many diguised farms...half of them have "52 Bosses" or "LT Farm" in the title. I never waste pixels reviewing these, as it wouldn't help anyone. I'd rather play a bad story written by an emo sixth grader than the most well-written farm.

I'd just like Vigilance to take the defender's own health into account. A slight boost while teamed, would throw Force Field defenders a bone (as the least well-protected member of the team, they're usually the only one taking significant amounts of damage), and would make Vigilance useful solo.

Speaking of 1-star pieces of awful, what do you do with those? Does anyone bother with negative feedback? If not, why not? Would you be more inclined to tell people their arc is terrible if you could do so anonymously?

On Heroic/Villainous, you'd get a normal amount of L15 and L16 mobs, regardless of team member levels. Also note that if you start with eight, you'll get mobs spawned for eight even if seven of them log off (members must actually quit or they'll spawn enemies as if they're still there). On most of the successful Posi TFs that I have run, the players have been over, at, or very close to the level cap...huge mobs of +5 and +6 enemies make for slow going at level 10. The good news is, if you can hack it, you won't be level 10 for long. Good luck!

Until very recently I took them at 14 without fail, except for characters that will never have one. Now the characters that don't want/need a prerequisite take them at 6. Which is excellent.

So, as a reward for playing various characters for 6 years, you want a character you don't have to play at all?

All of the symptoms you describe can be caused by lag; things are happening, but you're not seeing them happen because of a delay between you and the servers.
-
Oh, yeah? Well then what did I just buy at...oh, man, it's full of used pinball machine parts!

Makes sense; it's more helpful to provide detailed suggestions if you see something you think needs to be fixed.
I always thank people for their unsolicited feedback, especially when it's obvious that they put some time into it. -
That's a better choice in my opinion. Make sure your have a big enough power supply for the card and your other equipment, or it will impact performance.
