New idea for Enhancement Slots
This sounds like Enhancement Diversification starting one enhancement early, which probably wouldn't further diversify anything, unless the dropoff from 2 to 3 was fairly steep. Am I missing something?

sounds like a terrible idea to me. not to mention you didn't take io sets into account. what they have in place now is fine and there is no need to rework code to add something no one is going to like at all.
ED is bad enough as it is. I'd pay good money to get the whole ED thing to go away altogether. I'm certainly not going to ask them to make more of it.
If you want to diversify your build, go for it. What you're suggesting isn't an ability or a choice because you already can do that. What you're suggesting is that the devs force your desire on every other player. That's most certainly not a good thing. Players need more choices for play-style and character builds, not less.
I'm sorry if this sounds vehement or personal. It's not directed at you, but at ED. ED is the only decision/"feature" implemented by the devs since I started playing that I've actually gotten angry about. There have been a couple that I haven't liked, but only ED has actually made me mad.

I always thought this idea would be very interesting to have in game and would make slotting alot more creative.. Instead of the enhancements dropping effectiveness if u add more then 2 of the same enhancement. Have each slot drop a little effectiveness. In other words. Have the first slot give 100% of the enhancement, the second slot give 98%, the third slot give 96%, etc.. Maybe not those numbers but just to get my idea across.. So you have a lot more things to think about when slotting your chracter.. Do you want and end red in slot 1 or a damage?
