CoH and other gaming capabilites of this PC?
With running Vista 32-bit (guess), I would try to upgrade physical RAM to 4 GB.
With all MMORPGs it is simply good, to have as much cached information in RAM as possible.
I got myself Vista 64-Bit to be able to use 8 GB, and CoH is running smooth. After installing Service Pack 2 of course :-), before upgrading to that I had the Nvidia-dll-Error.

4GB of RAM on a 32 bit system is a bit of a waste. 3GB is usually enough.
My Vista 32 system is running 3GB of RAM and it runs City better than my boyfriend's expensive gaming rig.. not because I added ram, but because I dropped a better gfx card in.
Check and see if your drivers need updates.
Maybe ask in the tech forum and see if your gfx card is up to snuff.
The rig you describe would run CoH just fine under most circumstances; the weak link is your video card, which is on the lower edge of acceptable (especially for more resource-intensive games). You may want to invest a few extra dollars now, rather than finding yourself want to replace it in six months.

What about the NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT?
That's a better choice in my opinion. Make sure your have a big enough power supply for the card and your other equipment, or it will impact performance.

HD 3450 is rather weak.
9800GT is fine and is in the ballpark of 5-10x faster than the HD 3450. An equivalent ATI card would be the HD 4830.

Ok, so I have been playing CoH for a while on this Dell Inspiron laptop, and needless to say, it is terrible. The game is choppy and laggy on recommended settings and I have super long (5 to 9 minute) loading times. I am looking to buy a better computer to play this and other games and was wondering if this would cut it.
