Quote:I run Choking Cloud on my Rad/Rad Corr with the Lockdown +hold proc in it. It fires often enough to help keep most of the mobs off me while I follow the brute around at close range.A bit off topic, I know, but I also have a DP/Rad corrupter I'm starting, and I'm wondering what people's opinions are regarding Choking Cloud vs. EM Pulse. I know Choking Cloud is lower Mag and has no secondary effects, but the recharge on EM Pulse is insane, even in a high-recharge build like this one. The extra 1 magnitude and secondary benefits don't seem worthwhile to me over the chance to have this toggle running all the time, with a pair of damage procs in it.
Thoughts?
If you want to spend most of your time at range though the end drain of CC might make it less than optimal for you. -
I'm also putting my 2 cents in to say you should get stamina on your DS/Dark MM.
My Zombie/Dark is well slotted with IO's and there is still the rare occasion that I will get too attack happy and suddenly my toggles start dropping. It doesn't happen very often though and most everything is usually zombie chow by then anyway. -
Quote:What would be the justification for the change? Taking roleplay out of the equation(even with RP I can't see it) there just doesn't seem to be any good reason to make this kind of change.Has there been any serious discussion of having a miss cost less endurance?
Pre-stamina there are several ways to control/supplement your end use and recovery. Post-stamina end use is no problem if you have slotted properly. There are also ways to get around taking stamina at all.
Your idea seems like it would be extra work for minimum unjustified gain. As Dechs said, slot attacks for ACC and End Reduc early and add Rech and Dam later as needed. -
I was right there with you Quinz until that typo about half way down. You do know that if you introduce a Rainbow unicorn into an area that contains typos that all life will cease as we know it.
Otherwise, BRAVO SIR! -
Thanks for the info guys.
The ducted cards look like the way to go for me due to A/C in my house that is sometimes "lacking" and lifetime warranties are always good.
It's been my experience that fans can be hit or miss with the noise. My wife's computer was almost twice as loud as mine(same model/specs and bought at the same time) when we bought them. Hopefully someone has greased the hamster wheel at the factory and I don't get a Friday afternoon special.
Thanks again -
Hello folks,
Going Rogue comes out Julyish. This is also conveniently when I rotate back out of this sandbox Im currently stuck in(where I can't play COx). I would like to take full advantage of the new features/graphics when I get home so after much deliberation (and seeing screenshot comparisons from my wifes 9800gt machine) I have decided to upgrade my GeForce 8600gt 512MB card to a Radeon HD 5770 1GB card. I'm hoping they have the AA + AO issues worked out by time I get home.
My research has turned up at least 10 different manufacturers on New Egg alone.
With the wealth of computer experience here I was wondering if someone could steer me towards (or away from) any particular brand?
Im looking mostly for reliability here since most of these cards run within $50 of each other.
Thank you for your time. -
The weapon customization does extend to the epic and LRM is a nice long range "mini-nuke" when slotted up.
-
The Eye Roll Smiley does work. It's just that your browser doesn't refresh fast enough for the first activation and it's on a 60 minute cooldown timer.
Slot it for recharge and stare at the screen for 30-35 minutes. -
Quote:That makes sense. It's unfortunate though. It seems like there are good people over here (I'm stationed in Italy) that would be fun to play with. It's not "can't" at all - there is no "can't" in programming that can't be overcome with enough time/resources/people - it's more "won't" (possibly to do with the time/resources/people involvement). Although the end result is still the same: no merged server lists.

Quote:The markets are also cross-Atlantic. The EU players and the NA players all share the two markets. Someone on Defiant Blueside can list their Sparkly Findangle, and someone on Pinnacle Blueside can bid on it, and all other permutations.
Wait!? The markets are trans-oceanic but they can't* add the EU servers to the US server list? (or US to EU depending on your perspective)
* I'm assuming can't because I can think of no reason that makes sense to me of why they wouldn't.
EDIT- Ah, I see I'm not the only one wondering. -
The Australians got Going Rogue before we did!

Quote:I thought they removed the hazard zone level restrictions? Did that not extend to the Shard also?... As for what to do between the time that runs out and you can get into the Shadow Shard to buy another...well...yeah...
Personally I recommend you at least level with Dark Nova so you have some way to fly. You can respec out after level 40 when you can access the Shard. But with any luck you'll enjoy shapeshifting so much you'll end up going TriForm -
I remember seeing and putting a bug report in for this not long after the Booster pack came out. I haven't been able to play since January so I don't know if it was fixed/broken again or not.

Quote:I thought that was normal on ALL cards. I'm pretty sure that map has been broken since it came out or close to it.I've got a question. Do the ATI drivers have problems on Rikti maps? I was in an instanced Rikti mission a few days ago ("Save the World"), and in the last room, if I look at the room at the "wrong" camera angle, everything sort of disappeared. Characters were still there, and I could see the green skybox, but that's it. Moving the camera fixed the problem.
Is this normal for an ATI card to do? -

Quote:It was well-known that MM Caltrops could take both PBAoE and Targeted AoE sets. In i17, they stealth nerfed it so that you can no longer put in PBAoE sets in it. Dev comment?
I'm not a dev but,.....It is as Targeted AoE. What is the problem? If you have PBAoE sets in there they will stay until you respec. If not It looks like it is now working as intended originally. -

Ah! That explains it! I only read the even number pages....Wait, this is page 30, opps. Nothing to see here, please carry on with the soda conversations

Hmmmm.. no posts since the 17th.
It seems the wave of responses he/she got has washed the Black Pebble right back out of the forums.
Maybe they are actually going to use some of our ideas and he/she had to get to work.
...Maybe?
...Hopefully? -
Quote:That was just an example. The fact remains that even 3 slotted with end reduce SOs the cost to resummon if one pet falls is roughly 68 END. I am almost never summoning more than one or two pets, and this is what it costs. I have the same issues with a level 32 Ninja/Traps and a level 40 Thugs/Pain. I know how to reduce my end costs as low as possible, but it can only be reduced so far.
I might just have to get used to it, but I'm just seeing if others feel similarly to myself regarding the upgrades.
I never disputed your facts. You gave an example of the issue and I offered my 2 cents to help.
Most AT's use more end offensively in their attacks than defensively in their mitigation/armor. MM pets are 80%(give or take) of our attacks. By that logic we should be using a large portion of our end in the summoning of pets. MM end use is just front-loaded as opposed to being spread out over time.
Also, to say it again, I kinda like the idea but don't think it would be the wisest thing to do for the long run of the AT. You are asking for opinions. Please don't take it personally if some don't mesh with yours. -

Quote:Is it the pets and upgrades themselves or the 15-26 end(depending on slotting) from your 2 shields and thaw, per pet, that is causing you to eat blues?I have a Necro/Thermal with 2x End Reduce in the upgrades, ~65% End Reduction in each of the pets, and roughly 3.1 End Recovery per second from IOs, and unless I choose to lose a pet each mob, I drain my endurance bar resummoning after every fight and chew through blues like nothing other..
If you are summoning AND shielding 1 or 2 pets per fight I could see having an end problem. I run necro/dark (my thugs/FF is only 10 so I can't speak on it yet) myself so I don't have the shielding issues and I have more control. The only time I have end issues is when I get bored and start hitting attacks too much, even when they are not needed.
Quote:It costs me 75 END to resummon one tier 1 pet (3/4 my END bar) with reductions (110 END with no End Reduction), which I lose almost every spawn. I do not see how there is an slotting problem or how that does not kill my whole END bar. Under the old system would have cost me less than 1/3 of that.
Quote:If it was changed it to create two powers, similar to Kheld pool trees, with both a single target and an AoE upgrade, this would alleviate that problem by allowing the player to choose to either pay 45 Endurance to do an AoE equip, or 9 (if memory serves) Endurance to single Equip.
Granted, I understand I may just have to live with things as they are now, but I'm just putting this out there to see if other players have similar feelings who played a lot of Masterminds prior to the changes.
I like the possibilities of this idea (it would make my guys better)but wonder of the wisdom of it. I'm not against player choices here I just feel if they make it too easy for us (and you have to admit, with the right binds, MM's are a huge easy button) someone is gonna sneak up on us with a Nerf bat and smack us down. -
Quote:Thanks!
I tried this and it didnt work. When I look under the base, the section of the wall I cant move looks solid, I cant see through it like all the other pieces in the base.
I've had that issue with teleporters before. Sometimes it will let you grab the bottom of an item that you can't see. You just have to work the angles.
If that doesn't work it sounds like petition time. -
