Quick WS question
It's true. Kheldians are locked out of both pools because equivalent travel powers are available either as inherents or in their primaries and secondaries.
But you've got another option. Just run the Atlas Park safeguard mission and you'll recieve a Raptor Pack. That should last you a good while. As for what to do between the time that runs out and you can get into the Shadow Shard to buy another...well...yeah...
Personally I recommend you at least level with Dark Nova so you have some way to fly. You can respec out after level 40 when you can access the Shard. But with any luck you'll enjoy shapeshifting so much you'll end up going TriForm

Ninja Run still works on every character, even the Kheldians, but Mid's doesn't 'need' to display it as much as it 'needs' to display the Teleport and Fly powers for Kheldians.

Just pick Nova form and start flying? There's no need for a raptor pack.
Thanks everyone, actually the ninja run part was my own stupidity.
I saw it greyed out and thought I couldn't use it on the Kheld.
I was level 2...
Yeah.
Still kinda bummed about no hover but the concepts so cool I'll roll on!

If this is your first time rolling a WS... First of all, gratz! Welcome to one of the most fun experiences of your CoH career. Second, I recommend trying out a dual-form shade based on what you're saying about what you want. Try human/nova, and use both concurrently to see how you like it.
If you absolutely insist on human-only for the first run through, be ready for a challenge from lvls 1-30, and definitely go with everyone's suggestions on the raptor pack.

76 characters and Twenty-four 50s later, I still love this game.

You can still pick superjump and superspeed if you need a travel power apart from TP.
There's a jetpack temp power thats pretty cheap on the market as well to save a hike to the shadow shard.
Otherwise even unslotted Nova form would do for flight
I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.
Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.
So sad to be ending ):
I rolled up my 1st WS last night and got to level 4. I was finding it very enjoyable and couldn't wait to get back home to play some more.
Only one thing bothered me and I figured I could take care of it at level 6.
Since I planned on going the human only route I went to mids to start speccing out the build only to find a huge hurdle if it's accurate.
You see, my problem is, I can't use TP without hover.
I've never been able to. My rig just isn't fast enough, I'll always end up falling out of the sky before the next port.
All my TPers have hover.
So mids is telling me WS' can't access the Fly or TP pools at all....
Is this correct or just a mistake on Mids?
If it's true then I might have to rethink this, unless anyone has some suggestions.
Also, no Ninja run?
