I had put a wall up in one of the rooms in my base. Today I decided to redo my base. I moved a storage rack and it accidentally went into the wall. Now I can't remove the wall. When I go to the room in question, it wont event tab to the item and I can't delete the room. Any suggestions?

2 things you might try:

-Change your angle to look underneath the room and try to grab it from the bottom. Then slide it out of the wall while holding the mouse button

-or-

- go to the current room tab and select it there. Then either delete it(if it is empty) or try to grab it(while it is highlighted) and slide it out while holding the mouse button.

Both of these have worked for me in the past on different things. Good luck

Edit: When you slide things out of the wall sometimes you have to slide them into a different room to get them to move. The room will ofcourse need to be able to have a storage item in it.

Thanks!

I tried this and it didnt work. When I look under the base, the section of the wall I cant move looks solid, I cant see through it like all the other pieces in the base.

I've had that issue with teleporters before. Sometimes it will let you grab the bottom of an item that you can't see. You just have to work the angles.

If that doesn't work it sounds like petition time.

Try looking from outside the wall, not from underneath it (so your camera would be floating in the empty space between rooms).

If that doesn't work, try deleting the room.

This is easy to fix. Stand next to the wall with your back to it. Roll your mouse wheel backward to see inside the wall and simply click on the item. Sometimes you might have to drag and drop it to another room.

I'm having a similar problem.

I made some walls out of the light brown desks and, whilst making the ceiling out of the same items, I accidently placed the new desk into existing ones in the wall.

I tried hi-lighting in room details and deleting/moving, I tried hi-lighting the new desk, that was now sticking out of the wall, and deleting/moving nothing worked.

I couldn't view from underneath as the wall was solid and the new desk was about half way up the wall.

I have similar problems with desks over lapping and then not being able to move them.

Any ideas how to fix this in future?

Items that have inherent stacking ability, such as desks & cabinets, need to be pulled into another room to "un-stack" them.

Items that don't normally have stacking ability (such as lanterns), but have been "granted" stacking ability or floated to seem like they're stacked, can usually be un-stacked without much fuss.

So, if you have desks, or other items with inherent stacking, that need to be un-stacked, you will need to pull your camera out or angle it in such a manner that you can drag the offender into another room.

Note that many desks & cabinets have extra space in their boundary boxes along the front side. If you are nestling the desks, that space usually gets overlapped or stacked upon. If that space is under another item in any fashion, you will need to utilize the "drag into another room" technique in order to move it.

If you want to see what kind of "error" you're getting when you are trying to move something, pull up your chat window by typing in /c so you can see the system notices.

Hope this helps.
