Maybe taking your time and thinking about your replies in a more friendly manner would cause less offense? -
Hyperstrike, as much as I appreciate that you feel the need to get involved in an issue that clearly doesn't effect you, could you maybe try to reply without coming over as a troll please?
It reads as very rude.
Some of us EU players have GENUINE concerns about losing our identity and have the right to question the decisions made by the higher ups.
As I say, you're entitled to your opinion as much as anyone else. Can you just make it less .... pompous? -

Their stated criteria here had nothing of "Screw the EU". It was simple math. The population on the EU side was smaller and it was faster, cheaper, and easier to implement it this way.
Also, their responses thus far have indicated that they ARE sympathetic to the concerns raised and are willing, if it's reasonable and possible, to alter their plans.
As such, proving discriminatory (in the negative connotation) is going to be a real tough sell.

I'm pretty sure I could go through peoples posts with a fine tooth comb and come up with differing definitions of the words they use but this doesn't mean that that's what they meant in the context of their post.
As for simple math? Not at all. If my name conflicts with someone with the same name on an NA account then that's 1 for 1. If 100 names conflict then that's 100 EU names with 100 NA names. In other words, how can it effect a larger or lesser amount of people?
Even if it's the same person with the same name on two accounts (one on EU and the other on NA) that's STILL 1 for 1.
So, whether you take it as it being person for person or account for account, it's still the same number of people being effected.
I personally think the VET way is the best way. If someone in America has the same global name as me then of COURSE I'll be gutted but, hey! They thought of it first -

Hi lazy people
Following no success of a recent event I tried to run, nobody bothered asking me to spearhead anything.
And so I will be starting a new group, CREE (Can't Run Eny Events). Run by players that have tried running events and failed, don't know what events are, those with a lack of imagination or just those that cba.
Needless to say I am very happy and honoured to give this great game zero events.
CREE's brief is very simple: We are here to not arrange events, provide no channel back to the Community Coordinators regarding events you wish to run, and not come up with events that we hope you will enjoy too, and to that end we have bugger all surprises and absolutley nada cool events, competitions and general fun stuff that would normally enhance your time in the City Of Heroes game. We could even give out some cool prizes too! But we're not going to!
Some of you know me from the boards and Defiant server but one of our briefs is to “cross-fertilise” and involve the community from both English speaking servers into doing nothing, but for those of you who may not know me, I'm a long term vet and a very regular player with a number of 50s. There's a few things I can't be bothered to do in game like, RP, PVP, Events... the list goes on.
We're all very excited by this and have been exercising our grey matter accordingly and we have come up with nothing.
Those of you who have ideas please post them elsewhere as we don't want to/can't be bothered to/don't know how to run them for you. Infact, there's a thread about the EERC that would LOVE to have you post them ideas. Just not us!
If you would like to join CREE then please feel free to say you are part of us as we don't want to/can't be bothered to/don't know how to make a group and run it.
