I firmly believe if porting backpacks was easy, it would have been done 3 years ago. The Devs have no reason to hold it back and they've consistently maintain there were engineering problems with making backpacks happen. Fortunately, they seem to have recently solved that problem and they are starting to give us backpack items.
We're getting a trickle now, and by this time next year, I predict someone will complain about too many backpack costumes and not enough of X. -

Quote:No.I was just wondering if adding enhancement boosters to a proc will increase its chance to fire?
Only if the Proc has an Aspect component (e.g., ACC, DAM, Range, DEF -- just like Luck of the Gambler: Def/+Rech), then the booster will indeed affect the Aspect. But the proc will be unaffected. -
Quote:You're not kiting fast and far enough.Ah, okay. I wasn't aware that the Reapers and Morties actually control the others. I was already taking out the R's and M's first, but by the time they go down their "minions" are already in melee range and puking/exploding on me.
You can get a shot against the Morts (they're number 1 because they're rezzers). And run far away. The Ms and Rs will catch up to you and you can fight them without the minions around. When the minions show up, shake yourself out of scrapperlock and run away again, and again the Ms and Rs will catch up to you without the minions.

Window UI commands.
Basically, set your UI windows the way you want and type:
/wdwsavefile normal
Then set up your UI the way you want it on a Trial and type:
/wdwsavefile trial
When the trial is over, go back to normal:
/wdwloadfile normal
Next time back in a trial:
/wdwloadfile trial
Those two load files can be made into a bind to togggle between the two.
/bind I "wdwloadfile trial"
/bind CTRL+I "wdwloadfile normal"
By the way, the name for the iTrial objective window is scriptui. And so, to scale that down:
/windowscale scriptui .7
See this scaling guide. -
Quote:How do you know the backpack is a separate piece and not part of a one-piece top for the NPC rig?Forget quivers for a moment, why the heck do we STILL not have the Vanguard Back Details, despite them being already made pieces that have no additional work needing doing and are simply solid, one-piece parts that should have been out as soon as the back details slot was made to work properly.
How do you know that the backpack 'fits' onto a PC rig the same way it fits onto an NPC rig? For all you know the NPC backpack is attached to a chest detail node. Which means that the backpack would have to be reoriented in how it attaches to put it on a PC rig. -
I think it would be nice to open up all their seasonal events for a week or at least a weekend on the 6 month anniversary. After all, the seasons are offset by 6 months for all our antipodal friends.

Quote:All bug reports are implicit requests to fix it, the OP seems to have made that explicit. I did not interpret the OP as asking for a special look-see, which is the realm of petition, thus, the generic 'fix it', a plea for a bug to be fixed and not a GM or CS intervention. He's asking for it to be fixed, which we as players can't do. Read the last part of his post again.
And this forum isn't actually for reporting bugs, it's for discussing them.
If the OP was asking for special attention, then you'd be correct to point out that this is not the place for it.
And this *is* a place to report bugs. Again, just look at the history of threads here. It has historically been a place to report Live bugs. Indeed, GMs and QA and CS often tell folks to put a thread in the forums if there's more info than can fit into a /bug box and to point to the thread, especially if there are pics to post. And the OP was using his forum avatar as that pic. -

You don't have to worry about how I use Dimension Shift because I'm constantly Team Teleporting everyone around to where they should be so, therefore, you won't run into it.

Quote:He's not petitioning for GM help to change something, he's reporting a bug. Which is what this forum is for. Have you not seen all the threads here reporting bugs? It should *also* be reported via /bug or a customer ticket. You may want to read the heading at the top of this forum section:
You can file a /bug report in-game, you can email the support@coh.com address or you can file a ticket at https://support.cityofheroes.com using the Ask A Question tab.
Those are the methods for reporting bugs or getting support. The players can't do a thing to fix that for you. -
They're working on it. But any fix has to be prioritized, scheduled, coded, and tested. So, it won't be real soon.

Any of these?

Humans, What Are They Good For?
The work of sociologists have a hefty body of evidence that when given absolute and unchecked authority, most people will abuse it. And similarly, when given the opportunity to cheat or get vengeance with sure knowledge they won't be discovered or suffer any consequences, most people will cheat or seek vengeance.
Now, there's a sizable minority that won't, but, still a minority.
Also, most human beings divide the world into us versus them. The 'us' can be fluid: at times it means just 'my family' and at other times 'my professional sports team' or 'my country'. But once that division is done, people feel obligated to help people who are 'us' and be dismissive or even hostile to those who are 'them.' Self-permission is granted to objectify and hate and hurt 'them.'
For me, the worthiness of a moral code, whether religious or secular, is if it says there are no 'them', but only 'us.'
That's what makes a hero a Hero. They see all people as 'us' and even the villains as wayward 'us' who need not only to have their evil acts stopped, but redemption. That's why if a villain is about to be killed by their own evil machinations, the hero will even save that villain. -

Just so you all know: a "Known Issues" thread is not the place to report new bugs or get help working around problems in the game.
If one were to print out all the 'known bugs and issues' in the game, it would probably be about 100 pages long. The Devs put out a much, much shorter "Known Issues" list when:1. Players start reporting a new problem in droves and it's taking up Game Master and Customer Service time answering all these inquiries; AND
2. Their internal testing does indeed confirm it is a bug and not just players being confused about something new; AND
3. It's on the their list of 'bugs to kill' that they will purposely schedule programmer and QA time to prioritize in their schedule, replicate, diagnose, code, and test. (Which does not necessarily mean they will solve it quickly or even be successful at all.)
Putting out a Known Issues list is basically the devs saying, "Yes, we know, and we're going to attempt to fix it, please stop reporting it or asking about it, because that takes away time from being productive in other areas."
Reporting bugs in this thread is not a shortcut to getting that problem on the Known Issues list. Report bugs normally: With the in-game /bug tool or with a post in the various bug forums. -

Newsflash: The male members of the Human and Kryptonian species have external genitalia.
In a related story: Tight clothing deforms to the contours of external genitalia.
This just in: Junkophobia runs rampant among heterosexual adolescents. -
Quote:That's way out of date. I stopped keeping track once they stopped hiding. The whole purpose of keeping track was because of discussions of who did what when and people were misremembering. Now people can ask the mods/devs directly and get an answer and meet them all in person at the Summits.

Alien invaders is next (coming storm).
Also, incarnate level Malta and IDF which is not magic, put Tech.
And sooner or later, Praetorian Hamidon, which is mutation.
And we're getting Mecha costume.
And much of First Ward is Interdimensional, which is Nature/Science as much as it is Magic.
And almost all of Going Rogue was completely devoid of Magic. -
Quote:Problem with that is that the Epic/Ancillary pools open up at 35 now and you can't get Diplomat til 45.They should unlock the patron powers for heroes when they get the Diplomat Badge.
Defeat all the Patrons, but don't try and learn about them? Get tech, magical information, or intel? Doubtful.
My solution would be to lower Recluse's Victory minimum to 35 and you open the Epic Pools by defeating the four Lieutenants there. -
Also, the forum indexes words of four letters or greater only as whole words that are delimited by spaces or punctuation.
E.g., Searching for 'bomb' will not find 'bombs' or 'bombing'. -
Quote:Then if it's about POINTS and you saved the points because, hey, it was widely known months ago not because of a leak or whispers, but because it was on Open Beta.... then what's the problem again?I WILL say, I have been hoarding points for staff melee since it was first whispered before street fighting.
From the moment it was official news, you've had months to save up points and you did. And...?
