Any good way to unclutter interface during trials?

I can't seem to find a good place to put my trial window to be able to keep everything I need on the screen in focus. Chat windows, three power bars, target window, etc. Any suggestions?

I'm not a huge fan of user mods, but if that is my only option I will go for it.

To my knowledge there aren't any user mods that actually alter the way the UI is set up... you can try to adjust the size of the UI Elements in settings. Perhaps making them smaller will help?

I guess I am not much service here since I just put the pop-up in the upper right under my HP and buff bars.

I'd save your window configuration (/wdwsave), then manually edit down the size of most of the windows (using notepad on the file that was saved), then load that file back... that way, you can shrink a lot of the oversized windows (like the target, or HP window), while not getting some of the screwups you get on pop ups and dialog boxes / friends list.

I put the event box between the target window, and the nav window (unless I have pets, in which case it just gets even messier).

I love the pop up we get during trials as it makes whats going on clear if its your first time, and even after. But I will say on some of the more complicated trials it is a pain that its so big. My monitor broke about a year ago and ive been using an old one that was already here and not being used, so ever since things have gotten really cluttered on my screen regarding the UI. Looking forward to the day I have more inches and more pixels again.

Yeah.. first thing I do is set my UI size down to 80%. I don't keep any extra chat windows open though, I do use various tabs quite a bit to split out the clutter of chat that I want a log off, but don't care to constantly monitor.

Window UI commands.

Basically, set your UI windows the way you want and type:

/wdwsavefile normal

Then set up your UI the way you want it on a Trial and type:

/wdwsavefile trial

When the trial is over, go back to normal:

/wdwloadfile normal

Next time back in a trial:

/wdwloadfile trial

Those two load files can be made into a bind to togggle between the two.

/bind I "wdwloadfile trial"
/bind CTRL+I "wdwloadfile normal"
