  1. Few things jump out at me.

    1. Pick up Follow Up.
    2. FF proc in kick will only have a chance to fire when you kick.... and I hope you ain't doin that often.
    3. Could go for +Recharge instead of smathering of defense, and just grab shadow meld.
    4. If you get perma Hasten, you get perma Dull Pain, and Perma Capped HP. No need for +HP bonuses.

Most regen builds focus on +recharge and then some defense. If you want to rock the boat, be my guest, but there is a reason people follow the masses.
  2. I use Shadow Meld on my Regen Stalker and in PvE it was very helpful to remain alive. I can only assume with more HP leeway, it would be even better.
  3. I'm just going to clarify my question, decided to post a new post instead of edit. What bonuses are you building for. Your build looked like a smorgasbord of bonuses and no real plan. Always, before you start IOing, choose 1 main bonus, and then a second and third bonus to work towards. Many builds that look poor or unsatisfactory are builds that try to be a jack of all trades on bonuses. These builds fair the same as if you just franken slotted.
  4. Mu Mastery aint too bad if you get ball lighting. One less power to pick though it does do a little less damage, it could open up a power slot for something more important. A pet could be fun. Leviathan Mastery is fun with water spout. I like to pop an AH proc in there for some AV debuffing. However, if ALL you want is AoE damage, and can spare the two junk power picks to get Fire Ball, then stick with fire ball.
  5. Also. Get Mids and peruse the Guide to Guides. The info is starting to get a little out dated... Ok a lot out dated, but some things still apply and most will at least be helpful, if not completely correct anymore. Pay special attention to the Scrapper Guide section.
  6. What did you build for?
  7. Well, your kinda shooting yourself in the foot when you stay in ranged when you choose Invuln. You have the best defense when mobs are all around you. Repulsing torrent will get you kicked or at least talked to if you use it regularly in teams, and as far as ranged goes... you have 2 attacks. You will need to go into melee to use Burst, if you want some AoE. So far, it's looking kinda crappy.

Why not try a Peace Bringer this way, I'm sure it would work a lot better.

I made a better build in ten minutes of fiddling. Just think of the possibilities if I tried!

Did Fire Minded get a second account?

It almost fits him to a 'T'. Bad spelling and grammar, posting something he thinks is awesome, being told it isn't as great as he thinks. Then him spending two pages saying every one 'sux'.

    >.> I still remember him asking the forum to build him a PvP Claws/Invuln scrapper but not to use mids, because he doesn't like mids. That was clasic.

    This might work for you...
For me, its very hard to drop Energy Torrent in the Body Mastery Pool, because it meshes so well with Throw Spoons, but I think Shadow Meld will help a lot more.
  11. Does it suck, no. Is it the best, no as well. Looks like you could use the build and not die a whole bunch... but if I was going to invest all that inf for the build... I would definately want it to be better.
  12. Looking back and realizing I soloed Nocturne (the AV/EB in Jim Temlor's arc) with my Emp/Dark defender before I even knew what Enhancements were. I only had dark blast and gloom.... I'm still not to sure how I managed it.o
  13. most people ask "how do I make it windowed"

    *shrug*

I like being able to alt tab and use my second monitor

if that blaster had an extra 50% defence however, then it would be 25/75 (or a 75% chance to miss) as the 50/100 chance the blaster had, was increased by a further 50% (50+(50/2)) to give 75/100

    Hope that makes sense!!!
Base to hit of players is 75%.

    • BaseHitChance is what the attack's chance of hitting would be if there were no modifiers at all – no Enhancements, no buffs, no level differences, nothing
    • ToHitMods is the sum of all ToHit buffs and debuffs (the debuffs will be negative)
    • DefMods is the sum of all relevant Defense buffs and debuffs (ditto)
    • AccMods is the product of all Accuracy multipliers, and
    • Clamp(x) limits x to the range of 5% to 95%

ToHitMods and DefMods are 0 by default. AccMods defaults to 1.

    Claw/WP build

This is what I'm planning on doing. I haven't completely decided if I want the taunt IO in RttC, if not, ill add a third ranged purple to focus for the extra 40HP.

    Maintenance

IIRC maintenance is to apply windows security updates and stuff (yes they use windows Server OS). I believe they also defrag (though I could be wrong), restart the server to clear out junk in the ram.
  17. Looks like you don't really know what you are doing 0_0

    1. Miracle proc in IH ONLY works when you click the power and for 90 seconds after.
    2. Same with the Regen Tissue proc in Revive.
    3. Resilience isn't that great of a power.
    4. FLURRY!!?!?!?!?!
    5. Build up with barely any recharge.
    6. No reconstruction
    7. Dull Pain slotted so little, might as well not have even picked it.

Did you just 6 slot attacks with cool sounding IOs and then drew straws for everything else? The first rule in building a toon is to figure out a game plan, what bonuses are you wanting, what kind of budget. You have some frigginly expensive IOs and then also some SOs....??

For regen the standard is usually, focus on +Recharge bonuses and then pop some defense in. Also, check how others view the darkness mastery, I'm pretty sure you will find a resounding conformation that it is the worst ancillary pool for a scrapper and used primarily only for people that want darkness in their concept.... not for performance.
  18. Something like this?

  19. The thing I dislike about WP on a stalker is I'm not totally sure what to build for. Scraps, Tanks and Brutes I usually cap my HP, but on a stalker, you can do that with no sets >.> Defense is a little low, and you can easily screw your build over if you soft-cap. +Rech is prolly the best bet because you want recon, placate and perhaps shadow meld if you picked it up to recharge ASAP. +Dam isn't a bad goal, but the bonus imo are pretty crappy. Takes several bonuses to equal Assault... and Assault doesn't help a lot on it's own. Don't try to get Status Resistant bonuses. You get more Status Resistance from Indomitable Will than any amount of bonuses you can get.

Sooo, with those things in mind, let's see what we can do. You might like this PvE build. It's well rounded. As you can see, even without even trying to get HP bonuses, im 200hp over the cap -_-

  20. For PvP as a stalker, from my moderate experience, you want sharks and Hiber/phase. Super Speed, Super Jump, prolly fitness.

Don't really need Lightning Rod. Strength of Will would be a plus. Thunder Strike has the ability to double crit I believe, so its a good power. It also stuns, dropping offensive toggles.

As far as WP, prolly can drop Fast healing because of DR on regen =( it might not do a lot for you.
  21. First: yay they fixed the unsuppressed Defense numbers showing up instead of the Suppressed numbers on hide

Second: I was disappointed with AV soloing on a stalker. I had the damage to kill them, but I would always get one hit killed because of the very low HP cap. (Double typed damage will kill you with one hit, as well as a hit that deals DoT)

You currently only have 10% tohit with tactics on (Mids shows the BU proc as always on when you toggle it on) so thats not too bad. I would chuck the +Percep for the +to hit in Build up. If you could move around a slot to BU you should really put in another recharge IO.

It might work, and you might like it. I don't think I would be able to enjoy it though.
  22. Found it easier to just hosp after getting the badge there. If you try to jump the walls, you get shocked
  23. I will admit, my server is Triumph. The busiest the markets gets is three people in the market at a time MAYBE four if it during a up time.

Please realize this as well. It might just be that if you choose Freedumb or Virtue for the crowds, realize that crowds bring other things to the table besides teammates. I for one choose NOT to have crowds, because large crowds of people make me want to kill people. Also, the more people you get into one space, the higher the chances of having inconsiderate people.

Any one here that is complaining about crowds and people's effects causing lag are from my prospective, in one of the two aforementioned servers. I would also like to argue that there are many other people who are not effected in the least by other people's powers.

I can tell you that the entire reason I sell stuff at the markets is because I am sure some one else could use it. Again, I list the stuff at one inf, I'm not interested in making profits on most of the crap I get. However, if it becomes a hassle for me to run in and drop off my crap, I will simply vendor it. Then NO ONE benefits from my crap. (crap = salvage and most recipes).

Perhaps this analogy will help in this "Is the solution here really to just run away to some less frequented market location? Do videogame players really lack any kind of common courtesy that they all insist that everyone else suffer them while they refuse to budge for those very same people? That's a really weird way of thinking. Also very self centered." quandry.

Let us view two seperate cities, New York, and TinyVillage (can't think off the top of my head some small city/town). If you walk down the streets of New York would you be surprised that people don't walk up to you and say 'good day' to you? I know I would, and I would prolly think that person is trying to mug me. But when you go visit TinyVillage, every body in the town comes out to greet you. The same can be seen with crowds of people in CoH. Some people (for whatever reason) enjoy seeing large crowds of people. They enjoy being able to immediately get on a team when broadcasting lft. They like the random bantering in Atlas on the broadcast channel. But with all those cool features, you have to sacrifice some of the personal touch, the humanity of players. You WILL have lag, you WILL have queues at busy times, you WILL have to deal with idiots more frequently than on a smaller server/town.

For a small town/server, sure you don't have a Starbucks on every street corner. Sure, you might have to build your own teams. But you don't have large quantities of retards yelling about each other's mothers over Atlas' broadcast channel. You don't have large crowds looking cool in the Auction House, making YOU lag. You don't have to worry about a queue after an issue has been released.

So just realize, the choices you make about where to live can effect you in more than just your location. Sometimes, if you want peace and quiet, you shouldn't yell and shout at others to shut up. You should find your quiet and peaceful place quietly, and tell no one else where it is.

I would say, find a less populated server if you hate crowds of people 'showing off' with their cool powers, pets and toggles. Or go to a less used Auction House. Port Oaks, Kings Row.
  24. You need to have morals for these missions to work cancer :P
