Well, your kinda shooting yourself in the foot when you stay in ranged when you choose Invuln. You have the best defense when mobs are all around you. Repulsing torrent will get you kicked or at least talked to if you use it regularly in teams, and as far as ranged goes... you have 2 attacks. You will need to go into melee to use Burst, if you want some AoE. So far, it's looking kinda crappy.
Why not try a Peace Bringer this way, I'm sure it would work a lot better.
Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.
I'm not sure if it fits with your Iron Man concept, but I'd try going KM/FA and pick up Blaze Mastery. You'll have a decent range attack chain with Ring of Fire -> Fire Blast -> Focused Burst. You can use Fire Ball + Repulsing Torrent for range AoE and Burn + Burst + Blazing Aura for melee AoE. Not to mention Fiery Embrace will mesh well with the Blaze Mastery attacks.

So, on that note, it doesn't really matter what set you pair it with, it will benefit them all equally now.

So, I've got a crazy idea.
The animations for KM made me think of Iron Man's repulsor blasts, and I just rolled up a KM/Inv to test this on a live server: I'd like to make a (mostly) ranged scrapper. I guess I'm trying to make a really durable blapper, here, and here's my first try.
Figure that Flight needs to be involved, and body mastery for the two tech-ish blast powers... but I'd like to blast (even short-range) and blap with my various shields set to maximum effect. How can I wring more defense out of this build, and balance that with (ranged) offense?
